I just checked online and it looks like the stores in my area continue to open at 7 am (and I am in CA where Covid-19 is spreading quiuckly) , so it looks like they will clear the store of younger people at 9 am. Doesn’t make much sense, but hey, that’s Rite Aid. It would make more sense if the senior hour was from 7 am to 8 am and then they let the general population in.

RE: Stimulus: Government To Send Out $1,200 Checks/Direct Deposits To Most US Residents; Expanded Unemployment & More
I know unemployment rules may be different for each state. I am in California. The following are some of the weekly questions it asks me in order to certify for unemployment benefits are the following:
- Were you too sick or injured to work?
- Was there any reason (other than sickness or injury) that you could not have accepted full-time work each workday?
- Did you look for work?
- Did you refuse any work?
I wonder during a pandemic if the requirement to actively be looking for work is waived? I am employed by the public schools here and I have a job to come back to once the schools are allowed to reopen. I wonder for question 2 if they consider a pandemic a reason why I could not have accepted full-time work. I sent an online message asking these questions to the EDD, but now 8 days later I have still not received a reply.
Anyone else in CA getting unemployment? How did you answer the weekly certification questions? Are you actively looking for work?
By the way, regarding the federal stimulus money, I read on several online news sites that they will start direct depositing that money next week by April 15th.

RE: OFFICE DEPOT Free a/Rewards Duracell Optimum 12 pack AA/AAA batts lim 4 total, INK RECYCLE SUSPENDED
Thanks, MC. I noticed this 100% back offer early this morning, but not that appealing to me now that the ink recycling has been suspended. Not to mention I already have about $1,550 in Forever stamps from these 100% back offers. I used individual Forever stamps to pay the postage when I mail packages. (I better hope the Post Office doesn’t go bankrupt like I have been seeing lately in the news. I highly doubt the government would allow them to go bankrupt. I think Trump favors loans rather than a bailout for them.)
Ink recycling has been suspended for at least a week now already. I wonder what these optimum batteries are? Probably have a long life? I might try them if I didn’t have about 15 packs of the regular batteries sitting in my garage from past 100% back deals.
EDIT: Here’s a little more on what the Duracell Optimum line offers:
Duracell’s most groundbreaking innovation yet. The all new Duracell Optimum alkaline battery has a new cathode system that can give your device Extra Life*—like remotes that run longer—or Extra Power*—like brighter flashlights. Optimum Batteries are packaged in a new slider pack with a resealable storage tray, that provides a more organized way to store your batteries (no more loose batteries everywhere!). Duracell is the #1 trusted battery brand, and we’re proud to offer you Duracell Optimum 1.5-Volt Alkaline AA batteries as part of Duracell’s trusted lineup of batteries. *Extra Life or Extra Power vs. Coppertop AA in a wide range of devices

I added extra tomato as my ‘any purchase’ on my sandwich for 15c, went to checkout and it processed. Got the whopper at Drive Thru. 15c + 1c tax.
That little trick is like what I told you last time you could do with the two kids meals that required a purchase. You may want to spend 85 cents more to get the 8 piece chicken nuggets, but if you just want the lowest possible OOP the slice of tomato works.

3rd store some error about being not able to connect.
4th store not online yet.
5th store not able to order at the payment screen, keeps complaining about the payment (tried different payment types and phones, so should not be a problem).

My issue with TCB has always been how long they take to pay out.
I just checked my Dashboard and found that it takes 19 wks before money is available for purchases made at Petco. That’s ridiculous.Even the 8 wks for most other merchants is longer than any other portal I use.
TCB payment going smoothly is the exception to the rule, whether it’s a failure to track, or not paying in their stated time frame, I used to always try to do these weekend bonuses they run throughout the year, but I have been burned by them too many times, that I now pretty much ignore it.
Personally, my favorite cash back site now is Retail Me Not. They often pay the highest rates and they have excellent customer service. If your purchase doesn’t tack or there is some other problem, as long as you have documentation and wait the required 45 days they will make it right and make it right quickly.

RE: Souplantation / Garden Fresh Restaurants to close and not reopen
I have quite a bit of money in Souplantation gift cards. Any chance of ever seeing any of that or do I just take the loss? They had a promo every Christmastime that you would get 3 free meals for every $100 of gift cards you purchased. As Souplantation was one of my favorite restaurants for healthy eating, I took advantage of that every year never thinking a pandemic would happen and change everything. I lost about $379. As a gift card owner am I considered one of their creditors so I have a claim? Me thinks I am just out $378.82. Ouch!!!

Well at least you didn’t lose as much as I did. Hopefully as this pandemic rolls on I won’t lose additional money at other restaurants/stores. This is the one gift card holding I had that I was worried about the most and now my fears have been realized.
Not only did I lose the $378.82 in gift cards, I lost the value of 4 $10 promo cards.

RE: Souplantation / Garden Fresh Restaurants to close and not reopen
I think as this pandemic continues, it would be wise advice to try and use up any restaurant gift cards you may have as they seem to be among the businesses hardest hit. When stores go out of business you can usually use up your gift cards during the liquidation sale, but for restaurants you’re pretty much just out of luck.

RE: Office Depot 5/24 - 5/30/20: 100% back in Rewards Duracell® AA/AAA 16-pk and AA 24-pk batteries. Limit 2. AND Select 22-48 count K-Cup® pods packs. Limit 2; Also, coupons for 20% or 25% (VIP members) back in rewards on your entire purchase.
There is currently a $3 bonus cashback offer from topcashback that ends Monday night . They also pay 4% cashback on your purchase. I entered the 25% code on my $19.39 battery purchase just to see if I will get both the 100% back and an additional 25% back (even though it seems to exclude you from getting both in the terms of the 25% coupon). I figure there is nothing to lose by adding on the 25% coupon code 28835783. Too bad the offer ends on 5/30, so you cannot use this for your June purchase for ink recycling, but I am sure in June another 100% offer will roll around.
Does topcash look at the order date or the ship date when determining if you qualify for the $3 bonus wyb a $10+ purchase? I ask that because I bought the batteries with the offer today, but it says I won’t get them until Thursday, May 28th. That is a little strange that it will take 4 business days to receive the batteries as it says I have 2 business day delivery.
I’ll let you know how much I get in rewards once they post.
-
Expired: Office Depot: Recycling limit for May only has increased from 10 carts to 20 carts
I mentioned this in my 100% back in rewards thread, but I though it was such a good deal that I wanted to highlight it with its own thread. This is an unadvertised deal, but presumably since Office Depot suspended recycling in April this month they are allowing you to recycle 20 ink cartridges instead of the usual 10. Another thing to note is that to get this increased limit this month you did not need to have had made a $10+ purchase in April, just in May. I made no purchase at Office Depot in April, but I got $40 for recycling this month.
I did this deal myself this morning, so I can confirm it is working. It took 6 hours for the rewards to post but they did post. I wanted to confirm independently that it worked before I made a separate thread.

Also, is there a limit? ie, one per transaction?
Not sure. I saw it on sd. The discount comes off instantly, so you shouldn’t get burned because you can see if the discount came off before paying. You can buy multiple cards as long as you purchase them in separate transactions.

@mrvietnam said in Rite Aid 5/24 - 5/30 (free Pamprin/Midnite 20 ct./Absorbine Jr a/ BC/man Q):
In store Salonpas Gel Patch 6 ct rings up @ 8.79 w/gold and the Pamprin 40 ct 7.43 so that ones a small MM. A great deal if you need to roll bc. Limit is 4. MidNite coupon beeped for me but cashier just put them thru.
You may want to wait until later in the week to buy though as each month Rite Aid usually mails out $4 off $20 coupons (or at least I have been getting them the last several months). With a $4 off $20, you could buy a few Pamprins and it would be a decent MM.
Just like I thought. I see from my USPS mail preview that I will receive my two $4 off $20 RA coupons (my family has two Wellness accounts) today in the mail, so I can get in on the Pamprin deal and make it a MM with the total purchase coupon. Now that was easy!
