I’m new to KFR and just uploaded my first receipt.

Can anyone offer any pointers how to maximize this program? a little confused about the points versus contests and rewards that don’t work via points. do you upload the same receipt multiple times to take advantage of different things? It’s a little confusing.

No, you only upload your receipt one time, but if you want to take part in a special offer then you need to make sure you upload your receipt in connection with that offer. For instance, the free children’s book offer, after you log in you need to go to OFFERS and select that offer and then upload your receipt. It will give you credit for that offer plus give you the points you earned depending on what product you purchased. I have had the best luck using the website with Google Chrome. $5 gift cards are around 7,000 points or so. Generally you only get 100 points for each Kellogg’s item you purchased, so as you can see, you will have to buy around 70 products before you earn a $5 gift card. However, occasionally there are free points offers and most of those give you 100 points without having to buy a product. You can buy a coupon (they are from coupons.com but only allow one print). Printable coupons usually cost 800 points and they are usually $1/1 coupons.

oh that’s kind of a bummer, they don’t really explain that too well. So you can’t take advantage of the offer like the books if you just upload the receipt ‘generically’? They won’t let you redeem for it, even if you’ve earned the points or bought the items required to do so?

Unfortunately, yes, you can’t just upload the receipt generically and get credit for a specific offer. You have to click on OFFERS first and then choose the offer and then at that screen upload your receipt. The good news is KFR has excellent customer service. I bet if you reached out to them and explained you are a new user and didn’t know that they would still honor the book deal and issue you credits for how many Kellogg’s items you bought.

Thanks @MrVietnam It is a little confusing. I probably will give them a call tomorrow for the book offer and to question my points on this receipt. I bought 4 items that were supposed to earn 2x points and I know my total is too low for that to have happened.

2X points may be a different offer, I think you are only allowed one offer per receipt upload.

This was on a new product offering, it wasn’t an offer you have to ‘click’ on, s/b automatic.

If you sign in and click on the OFFERS tab, you will see that, indeed, the 2x offer is an offer that needs to have your receipt loaded after you click on that offer. Here are two of the offers listed when I clicked on OFFERS:

It has happened to me many a times when ibotta is offering a free after rebate offer at Walmart, my local Walmart doesn’t carry that product. Is there any way to find out if Walmart even carries a product at your local store before heading out only to return home empty handed?

I think I have found a way. When you go to walmart.com and search for the exact product. You can then refine the results by clicking on STORE AVAILABILITY and then either choose a particular store or choose Store Availability near your ZIP Code and several stores will appear. With this item, for example, I found out of the five stores nearest my Zip Code only 1, 8.4 miles away, carries it in store.

True, but I have bought other Kellogg’s products that also were not on the list and have still received the free book credit. I will let you know when my receipt clears if it counts, but I am confident it will.

Don’t feel too bad. Only one store out of 15 in my area carried it. This seems to be a pattern when Ibotta offers free after rebate items at Walmart, generally very few stores actually carry the product. Now at least you can check stock on the website or app at home rather than going on s wild goose chase wasting time and gas.

Just a heads up you only have 3 days left to enroll your card(s) if you have not enrolled them already. You have until 9/20/20 though to actually make the charges at small businesses,

These are only meant to be sent to a small handful of states. They had a dropdown list of about 8 states. The closest to my state of California being Texas.

I just got about 15 free books (over me and my wife’s KFR accounts). A Kroger affiliate near me (Food4Less) was selling select Kellogg’s cereals for $1.69 each. I used manufacturer coupons to take 50 cents off each box and then on Ibotta they had various offers for 60 cents off a box (limit 5), so I ended up paying 59 cents for each box of cereal and earned a book on each box, too. I used my 6% cashback Am Ex Blue Cash Preferred card to pay, so I actually paid closer to 55 cents a box and the cereal is fresh through June of next year.

My advice is don’t sit on your free book credits too long. As the program expiration nears the selection of books available will dwindle and they won’t usually restock. For this particular offer you need to purchase by 9/30/20, and submit by 10/30/20, so there is still a while left.

I went ahead and did the deal. After tax I should make 11 cents profit. I used $2 in points and I will see if I earn $3 in points back. If not, I will return the order to the store for a refund. If indeed the points earned are from buying two Speed Stick products then they should credit with no issue, right?

How long after you place an online order with in store pick up do the points earned get credited to your account? Is it right after pick up or is is the next morning like it is at Rite Aid?

Pretty sure Walgreens are reflected right away on in store purchases, however on .com/store pick up order it may take 48 hours like a standard online order.

Walgreens has tweaked it’s policies over time where earning points is concerned. I’m fairly sure when it’s a buy 2 get xx points, you’ll earn the points when redeeming (as this deal is) however, if it’s a spend deal (like spend $15, get 5k points) I don’t believe you can redeem and earn at the same time.

The coupon is one per account, but you can easily get more by making additional accounts using different names, e-mails, and paying with a different credit card number.

YMMV, but today I received a postcard-sized ad from Panda Express that had two coupons on it. A coupon for a free Orange Chicken bowl (no purchase necessary) and a coupon for a BOGO bowl. Each coupon could either be used at the counter or online. It had a unique code on each coupon for those wanting to use it online. I think each coupon can be used twice - once online and once in store - since there are codes listed for online and in store and the codes are different.

Panda, like many restaurants, must be hurting for business now. My advice to any of you who have restaurant gift cards would be to use them up. When retail stores close you can use your gift cards during the liquidation sale, but when restaurants close and you are holding their gift cards you are pretty much out of luck and out of money.

Good deal. In for 3. The coupon applies to all the boxes. My Prime delivery was for Saturday or I could choose delivery on my Amazon Day delivery day, which is also Saturday, and earn a $1.50 digital credit. Naturally I chose the latter option. Actually when I saw the bigger size available, I canceled my order for the smaller size and got 3 of the larger 12 x 16” size. I guess if you wanted to play it safe and make sure you got your cashback, you should use the code SAVE1040 and only buy 6 boxes online. I will post later if my cashback tracks. In my case I didn’t see the verbiage about coupon use and cashback until after I placed my order; otherwise, I would have used SAVE1040 and bought only 6 boxes. I guess if the transaction doesn’t post to tcb after several hours I will cancel it and reorder using code SAVE1040 instead if they are still in stock online.

I think what it means is that you will not be getting $2 (the standard amount) plus another $4. You will just get $4 per cartridge, At least that’s how I understand it.

Finally got my whole order, but it was shipped from 5 different places. My gripe: the confirmation said I should get approximately 53k BR points, but in the end, I only got 48k points. Since the initial order process doesn’t clearly show what the points breakdown is, I don’t know how to account what happened to the other 5k points.
Don’t forget to submit the P&G rebate in the end! : money-mouth_face:

I hope you did not follow what MC bought initially (he has since adjusted the OP to include Head and Shoulders) because the Pantene in his order does not count for the $15 P&G rebate. Be careful about returning anything from your order. I returned a $9.99 razor to a store and I only got back $5.39 plus tax for it and they docked me $3.10 in points!

I got my P&G rebate back today and I got the full $15. I was not docked for buying a non-participating P&G item (Pantene). I was fully expecting only $5, but I got $15. That made my day. This turned into a nice little MM. That was a really quick turnaround time on the rebate, probably because I submitted it online. As always, thanks for the deal, MC.

Got an email that AMC is planning to reopen this month.

They can plan all they want, but they can’t open until local and state laws allow them to. I am sure in some areas of the country they will be able to open, but in other areas they will not. I heard on the news today a lot of the movie production has moved from Hollywood to different countries that haven’t been affected by Covid19 to the degree America has.
