RE: Office Depot 11/3/19 - 11/23/19 - LAST WEEK (New change of terms): $4 BACK per recycled ink cartridge (limit 10 PER WEEK) with $10+ purchase - STILL WORKING THIS WEEK! - EARN $40 IN INK REWARDS WITH NO ADD'L PURCHASE - RUN!
Wow. I always thought that you could recycle your ink cartridges anytime as long as sometime during that month you made a $10+ purchase. Have they changed the rules now? I recycled 10 ink cartridges on 11/1 with no purchase. I wonder if I recycle another 10 ink cartridges and make a $10 purchase at the same time if I will get $20 in rewards or $40 in rewards.
I will call Office Depot customer service to get more clarity om this and ;et you know what they said when I get some answers. I noticed last month I did not receive the $20 in ink rewards even though I made a $10 purchase (but not in the same transaction). Perhaps this change about it having to be in the same transaction has been implemented for a while but we just didn’t know about it.
According to Office Depot’s website the ink cartridge recycling program rules have not changed:
-
Recycle your ink and
toner cartridges
in-store.
Limit 10 cartridges per month. -
Get $2 back in rewards per
recycled cartridge when you
make a $10 qualifying purchase
during the same month. -
Get your reward.
Rewards are paid out
monthly online only as a
reward certificate
Office Depot® OfficeMax® Recycling Rewards: $2 back in rewards is earned for each recycled cartridge up to 10 per month. A $10 minimum monthly purchase is required, excluding tax, delivery fees, purchases of all gift and prepaid gift cards, postage stamps, and purchases made with rewards and/or merchandise certificates/cards. We do not accept damaged cartridges. Program recycling rewards are paid out monthly online only as a rewards certificate when a minimum of $3 is earned. Program rewards will expire at the end of each calendar quarter if less than $3 has been earned. Bonus recycling rewards are paid out the day after the qualifying purchase posts to a Member’s account as a reward certificate for the full value of rewards earned.
This just must be a bonus rewards opportunity for those of us who have not yet recycled 10 ink cartridges WITHOUT a $10 purchase at the same time. So I guess all I can get this month is $20 in ink rewards. I guess it literally pays to procrastinate.

Taking inventory of my dead cartridges now.
Yes, not a bad deal. Each week this month recycle 10 cartridges and buy something for $10 you most likely don’t need and then get back $40 in Office Depot rewards. Wahoo!!!
I just got off the phone with customer service. She said for the first week (i.e., this week) if you didn’t make the purchase at the same time as the recycling, they can give you a courtesy credit because you didn’t know, but for the rest of the weeks this month you should make the $10 purchase in the same transaction as the recycling. She also said this is a special promotion for this month only and next month they will be going back to the old recycling program of only being allowed to recycle 10 carts a month and the $10 purchase can be made anytime during the month (doesn’t have to be in the same transaction). This month you have the potential of making a whopping $160 in rewards for only a $40 OOP, or $120 in free Office Depot money. Maybe more if they count 11/1-11/2 as a separate week and you just happened to recycle one of those days like I did.

Office Depot issued last month recycling rewards yesterday evening.
It’s funny. It says I earned $42.58 in rewards for yesterday’s ink recycling transaction but that amount does not reflect in my available rewards.
I just got off the phone with customer service and the rep credited me $40 in rewards for the rewards I did not receive from last week’s 11/1 ink cart recycling. I also asked her why the rewards from yesterday (this week’s ink cart recycling) show earned but do not reflect in my rewards balance and she said the rewards certificate for those rewards would be issued sometime between the middle to end of this month.
Good thing I kept my recycling receipt from last week. She said last week’s recycling doesn’t show up in the system but since I kept my receipt I got the $40 manual credit. Always keep your receipts, folks. So I am on track this month to earn $200 from the Bonus Recycling Program. Now that was easy. My punctuality in recycling last week actually paid off for me. I lost the bonus $40 at Staples because I recycled early, but at Office Depot I made $40 by recycling early, so I guess it’s a wash.

@mrvietnam Have you spotted anything on OD’s BF ad that can be purchased with our big bundle of rewards and then flipped for a nice cashout?
Don’t we wish. In the end I may end up purchase more postage stamps, but I will wait until the rewards are close to expiry before taking that move in the hopes a better option comes up, as I already have over $1,500 in postage sitting in my safe deposit box.

What happens if I return the paper towels after I’ve spent the rewards?
It’s a felony. Six months hard time in jail and a hefty fine. No, just kidding. I really don’t know. Maybe your rewards balance will go negative? or maybe nothing will happen except you will be $10 richer after your return.

After waiting a week, I finally received $40 for my cart recycling on 11/1. So this week is actually the 3rd week of this promotion with two more weeks to go, Now I am just waiting for the $40.21 I earned yesterday to have be added to my rewards balance. It shows us in my rewards activity but just hasn’t been added to my available rewards balance yet.
Remember: the 5th week of this promotion the $10 purchase can be satisfied by buying free after rewards batteries. You can also by a pack of free after rewards batteries on 12/1 or 12/2 and satisfy the $10 purchase requirement for recycling for December, too.

I love this bonus offer. It will score me in all $200 in rewards minus my required purchases, so a net of $150 in rewards (minus, of course, a quarter for each ink cartridge I bought on eBay). With two weeks left in the deal, I already have some $260 in rewards, expiring from 11/30 - 2/29.
@MrVietnam now, now, 25c per cartridge bought on Ebay?? You paid about 9c ea with the deal I sent you last time. ha! Who are you fooling?
Math never was one of my strong subjects. You are right, MC. After tax I paid 10.2 cents a cartridge, not a quarter. I don’t know where I got that quarter cart figure from. Thanks for helping me get a low price on my ink cart purchase several months ago, MC.

Disappointed they’re cancelling the final week, but I’m pretty happy with $120 in rewards along with 3 of the storage totes. Someone mentioned an FAR battery deal that is available every month that meets the qualifications for buying $10+ and turning in 10 cartridges to get $20 rewards every month. Details please? Thanks.
Yes, if you buy the batteries with an Office Depot gift card or with cash, then the spend on the free after rewards batteries will satisfy the $10 spend for $20 rewards for recycling. The question is next week if after the $40 promo ends if the regular $20 will still work for the last week. I am sure many will test it out next week, so you can wait until you see if it works before taking the plunge/

Here is a way to get $40 for recycling next week, too:
Go in store the week of 11/24. Take a pic on your phone and time stamp it of the sign which says recycle until 11/30 for $4 per cart. Recycle 10 cartridges and pay out of pocket $10+. If you don’t get the $40 THEN play dumb about the 11/23 cutoff and contact customer service. -

RE: Free $10 Certificate & Tote Bag at Cost Plus World Market - 11/29
I went today, Friday, and got my $10 off $10 coupon and free tote bag. It is really a hot deal because the toys and board games are BOGO free this weekend, so the $10 really stretched if you are buying toys/board games that are priced right around $10 or so.
From reading this post it looks like I can do the same thing tomorrow and Sunday and get $10 off coupons and tote bags those days. too. Great deal. OP, you might want to reflect that in the title of your thread instead of just putting 11/29 only.
Free Giveaways In-Store
From Friday, November 29, 2019 through Sunday, December 1, 2019, the first 100 customers in line will receive a $10 certificate valid toward purchases made in-store the same day. The first 100 customers through the doors will also receive a free, reusable limited edition Hello Kitty and Friends tote bag (each day features a different design on the tote bag).**

RE: Swagbucks Tips, Offers & Discussion Thread
Does anyone know if it is possible to upload a store receipt as part of one of Swagbucks In Store deals using their mobile app? It’s easy to do on a computer, but I haven’t figured out how to do it using the app. I see how you can upload everyday receipts for 2 SB each, but not a way to upload receipts for In Store deals.
EDIT: Nevermind. I finally figured it out. You click on the SHOP icon first and then click on IN STORE deals and there you are able to upload a receipt.

RE: Free FDA authorized COVID-19 antibody test with a Red Cross blood donation AND Amazon is thanking donors June 1-30 with a $5 Amazon.com Gift Card by email
I went to the Red Cross website to make an appointment and I was offered a free $5 Amazon gift card for giving blood, also.
Note: Amazon is thanking donors June 1-30 with a $5 Amazon.com Gift Card* by email.

Free FDA authorized COVID-19 antibody test with a Red Cross blood donation AND Amazon is thanking donors June 1-30 with a $5 Amazon.com Gift Card by email
Here is the Red Cross website to make an appointment: https://www.redcrossblood.org/donate-blood/dlp/covid-19-antibody-testing.html
Discover Your Antibody Test Status When You Give Blood
For a limited time, the American Red Cross will test all blood, platelet and plasma donations for COVID-19 antibodies as an additional health service to our donors. This testing may provide critical insight into whether donors may have possibly been exposed to this coronavirus. The Red Cross is committed to helping others in meaningful ways during this pandemic.
What is the Antibody Test?
An antibody test screens for antibodies in your blood, which are formed when fighting an infection, like COVID-19. An antibody test assesses whether your immune system has responded to the infection, not if the virus is currently present. The COVID-19 antibody test is authorized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and may indicate if the donor’s immune system has produced antibodies to the coronavirus, regardless of whether they developed symptoms.
Please note the Red Cross is not testing donors to diagnose illness, including COVID-19. If you feel unwell for any reason, please postpone your donation. Individuals who believe they may be ill with COVID-19 should not present to donate until they are symptom free for 28 days and feeling well and healthy.
https://thepointsguy.com/news/covid-test-red-cross-blood-donation/
However, I saw an article today that said after a few months antibodies against COVID-19 might start to fade (especially gor those who contracted the virus and had no or mild symptoms). I think more research needs to be done to get a definitive answer though.

Just a FYI: I just did two $10+ transactions at a confirmed small business and I did not get the “Congratulations on using the Am Ex offer” e-mail that sometimes goes out when you use an Am Ex offer, but that does not concern me at all because I am sure I will get credited. I just wanted to put that out there. I read on that other board that some people are getting Congrats e-mails though.
Two offer uses down, 38 to go and two months, three weeks to do it.
Got my first $5 credits from shopping a few days ago:
MrVietnam way to go!

I never did receieve an email conf. after purchase at my local small bus. shop., but I did see the credit under my Amex transactions.
Also, if you go to the Savings tab of Amex Offers & Benefits, you will see the credits posted there, too. It usually takes two days after the charge posts to get the credits back.

Expired: Office Depot 7/12 - 7/18: Duracell® Optimum AA/AAA 12-pk. Limit 2. Retailmenot paying 7% cashback.
Bonus Rewards: 100% back in Rewards on Duracell Optimum AA/AAA 12PK batteries: Valid in store and at officedepot.com from 7/12/20 to 7/18/20 11:59 PM ET or while supplies last, whichever occurs first. Rewards are limited to 2 items per member. This offer cannot be combined with other Bonus Rewards offers on the same or similar products and services.
Would be a good way to get your $10+ spend for July ink recycling if you still need it. There is also a 20% off coupon to lower the OOP and tax amount.
Retailmenot is paying 7% sitewide for Office Depot purchases (topcashback is at 4%). You can get 20% off by using coupon code: 99001902. It turned out to be $14.95 ($13.59 back in rewards and $1.26 tax) for me after tax and coupon. I also got 30 cents back from DOSH. So with Retailmenot and DOSH cashback it covered the sales tax amount due for me.

Topcashback: Make a purchase between July 29, 2020 and July 31, 2020 and get a $2.50 bonus when you spend $10 or more
Make a purchase between July 29, 2020 and July 31, 2020 and get a $2.50 bonus when you spend $10 or more. This bonus will be available for one transaction and you must activate using the link below to be eligible.
It seems they are getting a little more stingy on their bonuses. This bonus has been for $3 for the longest time and now it looks like it is going down to $2.50. Also, generally this bonus has been during the weekend, which has been good as it would straddle to sales weeks at stores like Office Depot that often have 100% back in rewards deals you could use it on. This time around it is a mid-week bonus.

RE: Double Ink Recycling at Staples B&M starts 8/9 ENDS 9/19!!
I have been taking a break from Staples recycling, but with double rewards I guess it would be a good time to start recycling again with Staples. I will have to buy new toner for my Brother laser printer, so I can cash in on the double ink recycling. You say it begins 8/9, when does it end? If I buy the toner today, I can still recycle this month (July) and get $40 for ink recycling this month, too. Can I buy the toner and recycle the same day or is it better to buy the toner first then wait a day or two to recycle? Since toner is cheaper online at Staples than it is in store, I will buy my toner in store but pricematch it with the online price and thus get the Staples 110% Pricematch Guarantee:
Here is how it works: If you find a currently available lower price on a new, identical item, show us the lower price when you buy the item at Staples and we will match it plus will discount it by 10% of the difference.
I am enjoying some kind of a glitch on Staples part. I have not spent more than $100 OOP in any given year for the last 5 years, but they still list me as a Premier member.
I hope in a few more months Office Depot does the same thing they did last year and give you double recycling EACH WEEK for a month. That was something special.

FLUZ APP FOR YOUR SMARTPHONE
AMAZON GIFT CARD PURCHASES (AMONG OTHERS) VIA THE APP COUNTING FOR SMALL BUSINESS PURCHASESI just wanted to make sure everyone knows that you can buy e-gift cards on an app called FLUZ and when buying e-gift cards from certain merchants it will trigger the $5 back wyb $10 Am Ex Small Business offer. So you can shop at a large, national business and still get the Am Ex credit for small businesses because the Fluz app is considered a small business by American Express.
They have Amazon.com gift cards with a minimum amount of $15, so if you bought a $15 Amazon gift card via the Fluz app, it would also trigger the $5 back for the small business promo. So 33.3% off Amazon. Just as a warning NOT ALL STORES WILL TRIGGER THE AM EX CREDIT, but it has been confirmed at Amazon it will, as will some others, but not all. Several days ago I bought a Walmart gift card and it was billed as FLUZPAY, but I bought another one today and it was billed as straight FLUZ, so I am not sure I will get the $5 credit for the ones I bought today.
If anyone is interested in joining and wants to use my referral link you could click here on your smartphone to join. When you join via my link you will get 3 vouchers for up to 35% cashback at certain stores. Thanks. It is an easy way to finish off your 10 small business purchases from the comfort of your home.
One way to tell if you will get the $5 back from the Am Ex promo is how it is billed on your credit card you have attached to Fluz. If it is billed as Fluz Fluz or FluzApp, it won’t. If it is billed as FluzPay, you will get the $5 promo. Here are some examples that bill as FluzApp and you will get no credit:
BTFLUZAPPOFFICEDEPNEW YORK NY 7/27 – no credit
BTFLUZAPPSTAPLES NEW YORK NY 7/28 – no credit
BTFLUZAPPDOORDASH NEW YORK NY 7/31 – no credit
Store Purchase FLUZPAYAMAZON - creditThere are several other stores that trigger the $5 credit, may be people come post what stores they got the credit and what stores they did not get the credit, so you have more of a choice than just Amazpn. How transactions are billed is fluid. I would take it slow and see how it is billed on your pending transactions with your credit card company before buying more.
Just as a side note, when buying Walmart gift cards they always round up to the next whole dollar amount. So if you buy a $10.01 gift card they will issue you an $11 gift card, BUT ONLY BILL YOU FOR $10.01! I would vary the amounts though and not always buy $10.01 as that could raise flags.
