@fivetalents None in the Miami FL location…
sorry, just felt the wiseass urge.
Typically, this is often a good time to pick up space heaters, humidifiers, and that kind of stuff.

@ctgolfer Thanks, looks like a good deal! I like the convenience of the quart bottles over the 5qt jugs.
Go through RetailMeNot for a 16% cashback promo going on Bestbuy.com, today and tomorrow…
@my4mainecoons If this doesn’t make you long for the old Staples “free-after-rebate” caseload paper deals, nothing will!
Driving an 18 year old car, I’ve learned this headlight-lens-restoration-biz is a sweet little moneymaker for some garages, especially ones that perform state inspections of cars, and can fail you for clouded headlights. Where they charge you $60 or even more for each lens, holding your car hostage for ransom.
When this happened to me the first time a few years ago, I told them to go ahead and fail it, getting a rejection sticker. I researched it and got a similar kit (possibly even this same one), and did both lenses myself in an hour or so. Then I took it back, got reinspected/approved and got my inspection sticker. Thinking back, I wish I had done this bit of work in their parking lot, lol.
Anyway, I know now to break out this kit and do a little lens de-clouding each year before I go in for a state inspection. Added to the usual pre-inspection checks on stuff like light bulbs and wipers etc.
And there’s tons of stuff on youtube.com about headlight lens restorations too, including an “all-you-need-is-toothpaste” contingent!
But does it have Bluetooth?
(you did say let 'em fly)
NOTE: If you can wait a week or two, expect to pick one of these super-cheap on the Amazon Warehouse, “used”.
Just be careful the condition is at least “Acceptable”
You may have never heard of them (I hadn’t until a few months ago), but they have an immense collection of hardware for cabinets, doors, and so on, as well as variety of of other craft related items. And likely for less $ than you can find anywhere as well!
Free shipping today (Cyber Monday) on all orders!
If you’re thinking about a remodeling or building project where you need such items, you should definitely check them out.
I saved a lot of money back in September on an order, and will be ordering more today…
Although I don’t participate in “connected-speaker technology” myself, this does seem pretty cool.
Better yet would be if you could configure Alexa to use Samuel L. Jackson for all replies imo. Or maybe Gilbert Gottfried.
@ctgolfer On the other end of the spectrum from this is a cordless 20V Porter-Cable 1/2" drill/driver with two 1.3Ah batteries on clearance at Walmart stores for $40 in-store only (YMMV).
I just snagged one, and it’s a great tool!

Any other Amazon Prime member seeing the Amazon free no-rush shipping option (with $1 digital credit) no longer available when buying low-cost items, i.e. anything over $1?
Recently I’m only seeing two shipping options: regular Amazon FREE Prime delivery, or else FREE Amazon Day Delivery (with no digital credit).
I’m not sure, but I think I opted once for Amazon Day Delivery, which at the time (I think) offered a $1 digital credit.
Really regretting that move now!
@briarycliffs It’s amazing how fast those AB rebates get processed and sent out. I got my Stella Artois Mastercard rebate (for leap day) only 7 days after I filled out their online form!
Now if they’d just cut us VA residents a break, including us in more offers (and without special terms)…
@fivetalents New code for $15-Off-$60 on online orders is 30231
Note: Coupon valid online only, not applicable in retail stores. Ends 3/27/20. Offer excludes technology/PCs.
Availability for in-store pickup may vary by location.
@mrsguin I suspect that Ultra Office is a rebadged version of the (free) LibreOffice, only optimized for “data sharing” with Microsoft.
RE the first part of that, scroll to the bottom of this page: http://www.compuclever.com/products/ultra-office-suite/
@mistercheap Wow! I didn’t see anything related in My eBay messages, so I thought it wouldn’t apply for me.
However (and it’s not like I need these), I found it worked on $33 mixed lot of 250 ink cartridges for Staples rewards!
Mix lot of 250 Virgin & Non Virgin Empty Ink Cartridges for Staples Rewards
Which would bring it under $10 bucks after taxes w/ free shipping…
UPDATE: I still have plenty of used ink cartridges left, so I ended up using the $25 coupon on a set of $40 toner cartridges for a Canon color laser printer–sweet!
Brought that down to $16.27 w/ tax. Hey, that’s cheaper than buying “used” from the Amazon Warehouse!

These typically sell out fast, so I have to remember to mark it expired soon…

@ctgolfer Lol. Price is right, but some reviews I found made that picture sound like a lie, i.e. the copter barely moves.
For novelty alarm clocks made for heavy sleepers, a popular one seems to be “Clocky”…also annoying in a funny way.
@mrsguin I’m happy with some Hyper Tough 20V Li-Ion battery tools I’ve gotten for cheap in-store at Walmart, mostly clearance deals, but I’d recommend steering clear of any brand of Ni-Cad powered tool. Batteries just don’t last.
@mistercheap This is one of several Kroger gift card promotions. Similar ones for Sephora, DSW, Subway, and Panera, plus some others.
https://giftcards.kroger.com/promotions Note they change daily, but you can use that link to see.
@ukedog Heads up on the latest scorching Lowe’s “Deal Of The Day”, better act fast on this one!
FOTILE 3-N-1 In-Sink Dishwasher for only $1, 124 (from $1,499)
So today only, here’s your opportunity to save $375! (btw you need 240V for this)
And there’s no reviews on it–likely because nobody has ever bought one?
Coastwide Professional Cleaning Brushes, 6 types
For professional use only, lol. Anyway, these are reasonably priced enough, especially if you’re looking for ways to spend Rewards points.
Somebody posted the 9" Grout Brush for $1.49, on SD, so it may go out of stock soon.
I’ve gotten a few of those and they’re ok for heavy duty cleaning. But I think the best deal is for the $2.99 13" bench brush, which is really handy for things like sweeping sawdust off workbenches, etc.
@briarycliffs Same here.
I also got an email of a payment notification of $6,500,000 from Mr. Antonio Guterres. So between the two of these, I should be all set!
@mistercheap My email thanked me for being a Bucks member, and said my future earnings rewards would be increased to 5%!
(Just kidding with some clickbait. I got the same 0% thank you with the Mastercard offer.)
As a big fan of the B&D 20V Max powered line of various tools (yard tools, woodworking tools, etc) that use the same battery system, it might even be worth this much. Amazon is selling it for $169 at the moment, although I filled out their little form alerting to this lower price.
On the other hand, I’m still steamed about a B&D Pivot 20Vmax Dustbuster with an internal battery that petered out exactly 25 months of light use (one month out of warranty).
Even though it was engineered to use a battery pack with two fast-on terminals, which is easily accessible after unscrewing three fasteners, B&D doesn’t sell a replacement battery. So the whole vacuum is destined for the landfill.
Stalwart 130-Piece Household Hand Tool Set, $8.95 (from $39.99), online
Saw this on the other big, mean, deal site. I have an identical one I got years ago on clearance at Radio Shack. Great for what it is! Although I’m generally not a fan of tools in blow-molded cases, this one is pretty well designed. Handy to keep around when you’re far away from your main stash of hand tools.
It might even be available for free store pickup in some locations, but not for me…
Down from $34.99. Saw this over on the big, mean, deal site (where it’s not getting much traction btw).
Shows online as $34.99, but likely in-store clearance price of $19.46.
Brickseek link for Staples store inventory.
Staples product link for the Roku Premiere HD/4K/HDR Streaming Media Player, Simple Remote and Premium HDMI Cable
@mistercheap Just imagine how hard it would be with their new Octo-Whopper!
A big YMMV but some stores are clearing these out for as low as $1.46, down from $37.00.
I watched them get reduced to $5 something first, then finally to $1.46…
There were also “Wash Your Hands” and “Wear A Mask” editions, but I lost out on those, LOL.
Brickseek on the above mat (note they all show up priced full retail online).
@my4mainecoons It’s 7.5 lbs, not ounces. It’s closer to a solid rubber mat (no “nap”) than it is to a carpet.
It does have an impressive warranty though.
In today’s email, I got a 16-digit code for “$25 off your online order of $150 or more”.
Ends 03/18/2022. Online only, not applicable in retail stores. Excludes technology/PCs.
The email subject line was: Get 30% back in rewards 💰 on ink & toner.
Finally, one where I’ve got $80 loaded in rewards points!
Now to just remember what it was I was looking to buy…
Nice, thanks! Not quite the $2 bargain that happened a few years ago, but still a good value.
I favor the heather and safety color ones (blends), which hold up quite well in a hot wash and dry, without shrinking.
In fact I’m wearing a “Navy Heather” one now, and it still looks good after 3 or 4 years!
AeroGarden Indoor Garden, Harvest 360, Sage $74.99 from Amazon

@mistercheap Not to rub it in, but just got my second $10 PayPal gift from Avid for buying an 8-pack of Guinness yesterday at Kroger.
Had to shell out $14.49 for it, as the 4-packs for $7 were sold out. So I’m up to $0.57 per Guinness now, lol.
It’s weird–I get an email that my rebate is accepted within a couple hours, and then no followup email when it hits PayPal. It’s just there!
Best thing since last year’s Yuengling $4 rebate! Btw, usually not many good beer rebates us in VA. Usually we get an asterisk, VA*
*VA residents need to spend at least $20 (etc)
@mistercheap Makes me recall all the Sears and Kmart store closings a few years back. Kinda sad.
On a plus note, the old Sears store near us, shuttered for 3 years, is due to reopen as a Home Depot early next year, after remodeling.
I say Godspeed to that! Our local Lowe’s store is a real clown show!
@ukedog Never mind found it on Target. But still confused.
Filling out the order I see the “FREEYEARWITHCIRCLE@NTYJ-89EJ -$99.00”, making the Total $0.00.
But still must enter credit/debit card info, or alternately use PayPal.
So I entered a valid debit card with $0.39 left on it, but no-go. Then I tried PayPal, but then it shows $99 charge to PayPal.
Not liking the gamble here…
@marvomatic I’ve gotten a free AARP membership in the past, I think from Walgreens, but don’t remember any outstanding discounts. I must have also paid at least one year, because I remember that vinyl trunk organizer. It didn’t last long (you’re warned)!
Sorry to be a wet blanket, but AARP and AAA both seem to exist mainly to sell life insurance–at least that was my impression. However, the AARP newsletter publication did have some good info in it. Their glossy magazine, on the other hand, not so much.
One last bit of advice is don’t supply AARP your main email address!
@mistercheap Great deal! I had already recycled 20 cartridges on the 2nd, getting my $40 in rewards. But took in an extra 10 cartridges today for another $25 in store money! And even got it credited to my account before I left the store! How cool is that? Not missing that old “second Thursday of the month” biz to get Staples rewards.!
@briarycliffs Yeah I’ve used Planet Green Electronics a couple times, the last time was the best.
I paid around $75 for “Canon 280XL lot of 300 Virgin Empty Ink Cartridges”, which works out to $0.25 each.
But the best part was that there was hardly any ink leaks, and 10 cartridges fit neatly into a small sandwich ziploc bag!
So much better that rooting around in that jumbled mess with odd sized and often leaky cartridges!
2638879 Logitech M317 Wireless Mouse, Black (910-003416) was $10.99 now $4.00 in-store, YMMV
Link online (for reference): M317 wireless mouse
Coupon is one of three “25 Merry Days” coupons you must load to your Kroger card account TODAY, it’s at the bottom of this page:
The coupon works on a Private Selection Hickory Smoked Brown Sugar Spiral Sliced Ham , currently on sale for $1.99/lb.
I found a nice 8.17 lb one marked on sale for $16.36, so with the coupon loaded it rang up for $6.36, or about $0.78/lb.
Lots of ham and eggs ahead for me!
Note: This coupon is good until 01/01/2018, even though you must load it to your account today.
@my4mainecoons Yo coons, I clipped the list at $4.80 or under, right now I’m just trying to figure out how to get tables to display correctly in this Markdown-powered forum. So far, not much success!
The trick for me was finding enough Smart Sense stuff that offered free shipping, as my local Kmart store was (regrettably) shut down last spring. Almost none of the grocery products, and only a few paper good items applied. A couple items were even disqualified as I was loading up my online cart–likely the effect of various “deal websites” like this one, har! I sure miss the days of picking up my 100%-points-back paper products and groceries at the store.
Now Kmart pays UPS to ship them to me instead! Whatever helps them out on their crazy race to the bottom!
Where I’m guessing that $4.99 and $5 are considered the same thing, ya?
If not, a curse on Microsoft!
Wait, I just looked over at my Lumia 640 cell phone coated with a thin veener of dust.
A curse on Microsoft, regardless!
Yes, but is it gluten free?
Nice job. But did you remember to use TopCashback for 8% cashback (lol)?
Swanson Tool Cross Check Standard Level, Model #CCL001 was $3.98 now $1.00 (often way less)
Some Lowe’s stores listing it as low as $0.14 e.g. Seabrook NH, W. Chesterfield VA, etc. YMMV as always!
Shows up with two different Lowe’s item numbers (typical Lowe’s precision):
383480 - https://www.lowes.com/pd/Swanson-Tool-Company-Cross-Check-Standard-Level/3585802
119471 - https://www.lowes.com/pd/Swanson-Tool-Company-Cross-Check-Standard-Level/1006341
Something to keep in mind when using Lowe’s gift cards (at least based on my past experiences):
When making an online order, and the often unreliable Lowe’s store inventory shows your item in-stock (but it’s not), that order, or portion thereof, is canceled. You don’t get a cancellation email–instead you get a phone call. All of this applies regardless if you used a Lowe’s gift card or a credit card to pay for your order.
The rub is if paid by Lowe’s gift card, they do not credit that amount back to your gift card (as you might expect). To get your money back, you must phone Lowe’s customer service and ask them for it. Plan on 10 or more minutes for that step. Once they agree to that, plan on another 3 or 4 days for UPS to deliver an envelope to you that contains yet another plastic Lowe’s gift card for the canceled amount!
Irwin Milled Face California Framing Claw Hammer, 21 oz, Reg. $19.98, as low as $5.99 (YMMV)
Lowes Item # 753520 / Irwin Model # 1954890
Was checking out other closeout Vaughan framing hammers with steel handles when I came across this one… this one felt much nicer, and was cheaper to boot.
