Wendy’s is offering free food and drinks until January 3rd.
No purchase necessary from December 23rd – January 3rd
Scan codes are found on Wendy’s bags and cups. You can also find the scan code here. You get one scan per day. I have found if you print the code out from the link it works much better then trying to take the picture straight from the computer screen. You are guaranteed to win something with each scan and have 30 days to redeem your free item. Possible prizes are:
Small soft drink
Small fries
4 pc nuggets
Small chocolate frosty
Dave’s single
Double stack
Spicy ChickenYou can scan the same code everyday, just save a bag or cup and keep scanning. I usually switch between cup and bag, but I am not sure that it makes a difference. So far I have won 7 drinks, 2 nuggets, 2 fries, 1 frosty, 2 Dave’s singles, and 1 double stack. Can’t beat free food.
There is a free entry period between December 23rd – January 3rd.

Yes, it is one freebie per order, but I think you can do multiple orders at the restaurant. I don’t think it is like McDonald’s that now only lets you redeem one offer every several hours.

It says scan, but you are really just taking a picture. Once you are done taking the picture it will automatically process and tell you what you won and put it in your offers wallet.

When you tap “tap here to start”, don’t you get 2 choices? One is “camera” and the other one is “files”. If you have saved the pattern to a file, tap the “files” and pick the picture of the pattern.

I did my first back to back mobile order. Won my first Dave’s single, have plenty of double stacks, nuggets, drinks, fries, and frostys. I think we prefer the double stacks, my mom get the hamburger and my dog gets the extra beef patty, both are happy. My mom can’t eat a whole single. I on the other hand, am having a hard time. The chicken nuggets are just edible and the value chicken sandwich is getting a little old. After the BK gift cards from Coke and these Wendy’s prizes, we have been eating free or very cheap for a couple of months.

This morning when I tried to scan the code for today’s prize, the app took me to an error page that said “Oops, something went wrong… You are currently not eligible to participate in the promotion.” Is anyone else getting this message?
Update: Nevermind. I tried it a few times and on the third time it worked. Today I won a small french fries.
So far, I have been playing for two weeks and have 14 free food items waiting for me to redeem: This is the most generous fast food giveaway I have ever seen.

I’ve won mainly small fries, drinks and sm. Frostys, however two sandwiches thus far, a Dave’s Single and a Spicy Chix. So Have at least two full meals with the sandwiches, fries and drinks to enjoy. Hoping for more sandwiches.

Is this still working for you guys? The last two days I have taken a picture of the Coke bottle symbol printed out on paper, but it doesn’t process and tell me what I have won. I cancel out and try to do it several times and eventually it says I have reached my daily limit and for me to play again tomorrow and I does not award me a prize for the day. Maybe I have too many rewards banked already. I plan on taking the family to Wendy’s tonight and using several of them, so we will see if I can win a prize come tomorrow.

I guess there is a cap of how many rewards you can bank in your account. I had 26 rewards and it wasn’t letting me get anymore. Last night I redeemed 16 of my rewards and this morning I was able to win again (I got a double stack). By the way, it looks like the best (i.e., most expensive reward is a spicy chicken sandwich which goes for $5 and change. I had one reward it wouldn’t let me redeem. It was for a large french fries. Maybe next time I will try adding small to my cart and see if it takes. Last night I was able to take my entire family out to Wendy;s for dinner on the house. Thanks, Wendy’s! Counting today, there is a chance to get six more rewards before this promotion sadly ends.

I haven’t won a sandwich in over a week. I am out of double stacks and only have nuggets, fries, drinks, and frostys left. I have used up 3 offers at a time the last two times. They don’t say anything. I never did win a chicken sandwich, as I would have like to try one of those. I am too frugal to actually pay for one.

won a Whopper on the peelie on a large fries for $1 with app offer. worth it, got a large fries and then the free whopper for $1. also, look around the store, lots of people leave them behind and don’t use them. lots of people don’t have the app or care. found two Hershey Hand Spun Shake codes. overall it’s not as easy to enter as the Wendy’s contest.

Yeah, the double stack is kind of lame, pretty small, basically a regular size hamburger with two patties vs one.
There is a good offer in the app for six nuggets for $1, use that with a 4 free nuggets prize to get 10 for $1, which is a decent amount for a lunch if you’re low or out of sandwich codes. Used my Wendy’s single and a double stack thus far. Have a double stack, 4 free nuggets and a Spicy Chicken left to work with as ‘main courses’.
Have a ton of frostys and small drinks. Small drinks I use with the sandwiches, have yet to redeem a frosty. may give them away to people in Wendy’s with kids while I’m there. Doubt I’ll use them, winter, too cold for frostys and too much sugar in them for my tastes.
