@mrvietnam Yes, I said online but in store pick up was assumed. You are using 3,000 Balance Rewards Points that you are only getting from buying the speed sticks & wouldn’t have otherwise.

Your post, as usual, is misleading this is an IN STORE PICK UP deal from online walgreens.com and thus goes in HD, and @MrVietnam clearly asked you if paying with points as you are advocating will negate earning points.
also, after sales tax, most people won’t be earning any profit.

I went ahead and did the deal. After tax I should make 11 cents profit. I used $2 in points and I will see if I earn $3 in points back. If not, I will return the order to the store for a refund. If indeed the points earned are from buying two Speed Stick products then they should credit with no issue, right?
How long after you place an online order with in store pick up do the points earned get credited to your account? Is it right after pick up or is is the next morning like it is at Rite Aid?

Pretty sure Walgreens are reflected right away on in store purchases, however on .com/store pick up order it may take 48 hours like a standard online order.
Walgreens has tweaked it’s policies over time where earning points is concerned. I’m fairly sure when it’s a buy 2 get xx points, you’ll earn the points when redeeming (as this deal is) however, if it’s a spend deal (like spend $15, get 5k points) I don’t believe you can redeem and earn at the same time.

It looks like I probably will earn points when spending points as I got this in my order confirmation e-mail:

I’ll see in a couple days if that summary is actually the case.

I found out something interesting, When you place an online order with store pick up, they don’t use the store’s existing stock to fill your order as many other stores do. They actually ship your order to the store. I called and asked how long it takes for the store to receive the merchandise and the rep said no more than 7 days!

When a points offer is buy XX earn XXX points you can pay with points and earn points.
If it is SPEND $$ earn XXX you will not earn points if you use points.
As for MrsGuin’s OP on line price is $2.99, most in store prices are higher!!

Walgreens must have figured this out and killed the deal. I can’t find any varieties that ship to store, so this is dead unless one can replicate it with an in-store purchase.

No, there are plenty available for ship-to-home, just not ship-to-store.

I just got my e-mail letting me know my ship to store 2 deodorants are now ready for pick up. Included in that e-mail is a coupon for 25% all regular priced items in my next in store purchase. The coupon doesn’t expire until 8/31/20. That could could possibly come in handy.
