I got a mailer about this offer. Does anyone know how much time has to go by once a previous membership expires before you can sign-up again as a new member? My last membership expired on 3/17/20. Is it six months? If so I guess I could re-sign up on 9/17/20, right? I also have the $10 back when you buy a $45 membership from Chase that expires for me on 9/21/20, so perhaps my window to open the new membership would be from 9/17-9/21/20. I will sign up in store so I will get the $45 gift card immediately upon sign-up. I will use a different e-mail and phone number, but they will have my address as I am sure they will ask to see my driver’s license. It is really a low risk offer as I will only complete the sign up process in store if I get my gift card on the spot. They have a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, too.

I love Sam’s Club. It is conveniently located for me so I can get cheap gas there. In my area at least they are almost always the same price for gas as Costco, so it gives me one more place I can fill up. Every year my Sam’s Club membership turns into a MM. They actually pay you to join. I wish Costco would do that, but I guess they don’t have to.

I’m in the same boat as you Mr. V, not sure if it’s 90 or 180 days to be considered a new member after it expires. I guess you can call and ask. My membership lapsed 3/5/20, so I’ll be eligible next week already if 6 months and also have the CHASE offer. I joined BJ’s back in May on their $20 deal which cost me $10 after cash back and a $8 groupon bucks credit they gave me for some screw up. That’s up 5/31/21, but Sam’s near me doesn’t have the gas station, BJ’s does. BJ’s also takes manu coupons (but suspended doing so during covid). Each has it’s pluses.

I would try after you hit the six month mark. I think it is six months. There is nothing really to lose as you get issued the $45 gift card at the same time you join in store, so if they don’t give you the gift card you can just not complete the membership process. I am sure they will let you know before the transaction is finalized if for some reason you do not qualify. Either way they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, so you can get all your membership money right back if you are not pleased about anything.

Well, I have a spouse. In fact, today was my wedding anniversary. I am so close to the six month mark that I will just wait and get a membership in my name.

Unless you add them as a secondary, I don’t think you should have a problem switching memberships every 6-12 months. Sometimes I want to just get extra memberships because most of them are MM.
