FYI, there is an even better and possibly repeatable deal with the app. I have a recurring deal for a free Whopper with any purchase. If you get the 8-piece nuggets for $1, the you get both the nuggets and the Whopper for $1. Here’s the twist: the offer says it is for “new app users”, but it perpetually shows in my account, and the discount code displays as “mgr reqd”, thus the cashier/manager has to override anyway to make it work. Anyway, food for thought, so to speak…

Whenever I try to place an order for the $1 Whopper it gives me this error message at checkout:

We encountered an error creating your order. We are aware of the issue and are working to resolve it. Please try again or contact here.
I called customer service and they are worthless.

For next time, it might be easier to redeem the code at the drive-thru by using ‘redeem in restaurant’ instead of doing a mobile order. They usually ask for the code at the drive-thru when you are ordering.

I’ve never tried BK app offers through the drive-thru. I hate drive-thrus in general—very wasteful idling away in a long line. It would be interesting to try the offer I mentioned in my last post that says “MGR REQD” since it isn’t even a code.

Nothing wrong. There is no code. The manager or someone with more authority has to override the system to make it work. In my case, I’ve seen a manager scan their fingerprint or swipe a special card in order to make the register allow certain deals.
