I don’t see any advantage of this one, versus the Visa which has 5% bonus, if not more.

I made the mistake of redeeming for a virtual Am Ex card for under a dollar and now I am finding it hard finding a place where I can redeem it. Any suggestions?

Can you add it to a digital wallet and select it for payment at a grocery store? I know prepaid VISA and MC automatically deduct balance on the card and the register then just asks for another form of payment for balance. Don’t remember if AMEX work the same way. I guess Amazon will not let you empty for less than $1?

Does Amazon allow partial payments? I don’t think they do. The utilities that allow me to pay with credit card have a $1 mini,i, when using cards.

Amazon allows GC balance loads for as little as 50 cents.

I use Spectrum and they have a minimum.

How many cents did you make from the 5% bonus?
I’m surprised that TCB doesn’t have a minimum for payout like the $20 other sites require.

I’m surprised that TCB doesn’t have a minimum for payout like the $20 other sites require.Not sure. I think I redeemed for it with no extra bonus amount. Going forward I will wait to cash out until I have at least a dollar.

Because at the time I didn’t realize I would have such a hard time using a small amount virtual card and I didn’t even know Pay Pal was an option. If PayPal is indeed an option then in the future that is definitely the way to go.

I tried the Amazon gift card reload option and it worked, except I will lose10 cents because they authorized the card for 10 cents first and my transaction failed. I tried a second time and made it for 10 cents less (due to the 1- cent authorization) and it went through. At least I was able to drain 69 of the 79 cents on the card. Thanks for the idea, phatwallet. Much appreciated.

@mrvietnam The pending charge should go back on your card in a few days. I think there are listings on ebay for a couple of cents, if you really want to clear your balance.

Couple of cent listings with only $9.99 shipping. Just kidding (I think.) I can lose 10 cents and a big lesson learned.

The problem was that it was a virtual card. I’ve redeemed TCB for a Petco gc that gave a redemption bonus and received an eGC which had a bar code so I was able to use it in-store.
