@goldsheet My head is dizzy transferring funds back and forth between all my banks the last month as they raise their rates.
-
@atikovi Agree. I only transfer maybe 20-25% of my balance at a time because often after I do, the bank will raise their rate.
I’m also doing the $1,000 SoFi deposit promotion and the $500 Ally deposit promotion.
Becoming a job to update my list

@jtownsucks46 They’re raising so fast our rate updates are bumping into each other
The average rate on all of my accounts is 3.22% apy so anything less is a candidate for transfer.
-
@goldsheet I’m doing pretty much the same. Thanks for your list. I check it & PhatWallet daily to keep up. Opened a SalemFive account yesterday & started transferring Bask funds & then Bask goes up today, even high than SalemFive. Can’t win!! So I just spread it around & it all averages out. Moving everything under 3% now.
-
@platypus At only 3.05% Bask was on my transfer list but I
decided to wait another week just in case and it paid off at 3.60%

Dollar Savings Direct has been raising their rates to maintain their claim of the “America’s Highest Rate” so I’d expect them to raise theirs to match Bask. So you could just put it there.

DSD has a lousy ACH transfer policy. You can’t use an external bank to transfer money out of your DSD account (and maybe in, too), and you can have only an external personal CHECKING account linked to your DSD account to transfer money initiated through DSD.
-
@mtnagel Dollar Savings Bank only allows one linked account it has to be a checking account and it’s the only way to transfer funds. = Horrible

I just set up my T-Mobile account to push money to DSD so it’s possible to push from an external savings account. My DSD account is linked to a checking account and I have used that account as a middle man to then transfer to another bank as well so that’s possible. I’ve had my account for many years and haven’t used it in awhile, but it’s been nice that they’ve just been matching the highest rate lately so I’ll jump through a few hoops instead of creating new accounts to chase the best rate.

Kind of find it strange that these banks raised their rates very close to the top but let Merchant’s Bank remain the number 1 at 3.82%.

I moved most of my money out of Brio, but kept a few dollars in there and it still shows 2.127%. I’m guessing they are one of those crappy banks that create new accounts with higher rates so to get the new rate you have to open a new account?
I know people here don’t like them but sucks to see that Dollar savings direct removed the claim of the highest rate so they are still at 3.5%.

https://www.ufbdirect.com/Savings/ufb-high-rate-savingsFinally a bank decides to beat Merchant’s Bank of Indiana(just by 0.01%) for the top rate. Too bad they only did it by requiring 50k minimum to get the rate. And that’s assuming you get the 3.83% on the whole balance rather than a blended rate. Not clear from their website. To me Merchant’s Bank is still the golden goose!

Yeah that doesn’t bother me. I use Alliant Credit Union as a hub account and they have 1 day ACH service. There’s also typically no hold on funds when you push them so I prefer to push anyway for this reason.

Does Alliant still have a $25K/day limit? That would be annoying to pull $250K from one account to push into Merchants. 20 days total to complete a transfer?

They do. For large sums like 250k, I would just do a wire.
