@dangeruss Did they do away with the Plus level if you spent $500? I’m $150 shy of Premier so I’ll get there this year but probably won’t spend $1K next year unless they bring back rebates.

Yes, they did. You automatically became premier if you were plus before, but at the end of the 12 months (rolling), you get booted back to basic and have to either spend $1k or buy staples plus.

@dangeruss If status is rolling based on previous 12 mo does that mean that one month one could be Premier and the next month not but the following month have Premier again? Very confusing if that’s the case.

Yes. It’s no longer based on calendar year, but a rolling 12 months. I believe 12 months after you earn it, you lose it, unless you kept up the spend.

With the extra 10 carts of recycling you could have the $24.50 fee paid off in slightly over a month and then get another 11 months of pure profit. Other benefits of Staples Plus are free next day delivery with no ,minimums and 10% rewards on ink and toner purchases. It looks like they won’t allow you to pay with a Staples gift card and it looks like they charge tax on memberships (at least in CA).
So since Premier is now on a rolling 12 month basis and not on a calendar year, how can I know when my current Premier status will end?

Usually, about 2 months before they change your status on the website. Basically, you will see that you didn’t earn your $40, only $20 and then you will have to fight with them to get it back.
You can also try asking them, they might know.

Any idea if multiple users (2) allowed at same address with Staples Plus? I believe in the past this was a no-no with Staples Rewards.
