I think this is a no brainer. Unless you’re spending $1k+ per year to qualify for Premier, plus makes a lot of sense. You get double the ink recycling (extra $20/month) for $15 /year (at least for the first year, we’ll see how the renewal is)

I spend the $1K so I have Premier. I’m about half way there for this year but tempted to buy Plus.

This is the first year I won’t make the $1K minimum purchases
to turn in 20 cartridges a month, and I don’t see that changing for next year, so I’m definitely buying into the $15 deal. Thanks, OP.

I haven’t hit the $1,000 in spending for over two years now, but they still list me as a Premier member. Not sure why, but I’m not complaining. Maybe there is some glitch in the system or something.

Any way to do this on a renewl? I added the membership to my cart, logged in and then received a message to remove it as I was already a member.

I remember receiving a “surprise” from Staples-- that I ended up cancelling. Is Plus the program where you don’t receive 5% back on everything-- just 10% on ink & paper?

I think this has expired. It was a big banned on website. No longer advertised. I’m guessing it ended with the sales week.

I bit on this deal, more for the free shipping/no minimum than anything else…not being a regular ink cartridge recycler.
In case anybody’s still looking, I’m curious what my fellow Plus members think are good money-saving picks for the “5 custom items” that you can specify to buy at “best in market pricing”?
Hopefully it’s not more printer paper–I’m all set for that for the next 2 years!
Edit: I’m putting it together now…you guys buy bulk loads of empty cartridges on eBay, then bring em into a Staples store for the rewards, lol. I have so much to learn, in my grasshopper way!

My favorite seller on ebay for bulk cartridges for recycling doesn’t have any large amounts (120 to 150 or so) for sale right now, and I couldn’t find any others at a reasonable price. Suggestions?

I just saw a Facebook ad for this sale and it says it expires tomorrow (7/27/19).
Not sure why this thread was prematurely put in expired deals, but it is still alive and kicking through tomorrow at least.

My chief concerns are:- Ponying up $30.19 for a Brother inkjet cartridge that I would normally pay $3 for the equivalent generic one.
- Having the nerve to coolly bring in to my local Staples store, each month, 20 assorted ink cartridges to “recycle” (wink, wink).
- Staples canceling or otherwise minimizing the 20 x $2/mo. recycle program, say right after my eBay-bought jumbo box of empties arrives.

- I also resell the ink I purchase for the “spend”.
- I’ve recycled in different stores where they don’t know me and no one ever says anything.
- There are folks here who remember when there was no limit to how many you could recycle in a month- and receive $4 per cartridge. Its been a while since they cut the Reward from $4 an empty to $2. No more $80/month in Rewards, now its only $40. Then they added the $30 minimum spend. With each change the price of empties has gone down. I only buy enough for a year.
