Targeted Chase Offer 15% back on $100 at BedBathBeyond is better than stashing additional USPS stamps in the safety deposit box.

I didn’t stash any new stamps this time around, at least not yet anyway. Yesterday I used $79 in rewards p;us tax to buy a Google Home Hub (it is a smart VIDEO speaker) for my son for Christmas. Looks fun. I was going to buy the Amazon Echo Show 5, but the Google Home Hub looks better.

I don’t get your post exactly. For the Office Depot 20% back in rewards deal you would have to buy the BedbathBeyond gift cards at Office Depot, so you couldn’t double dip and also take advantage of the Chase targeted offer (which I don’t have anyway) because your purchase would be at Office Depot and not BedBathBeyond, right?

sonofzeus was saying that 15% cash back is better than 20% back in OD rewards.

OK. I get it now. To each their own.

If you haven’t made your $10 purchase this month for December recycling, today is the last day Duracell and K-cups or 100% back in rewards and there is 14% cashback on retailmenot.com today.
I got a 16 pack of Duracell AAA down from 19.39 to 13.96 by subscribing for 10% off and using a 20% off coupon. Walmart’s everyday price for it is 12.78., but by ordering online I made $1.95 cashback (14%). I will miss the $40 a week for recycling that last week offered. Now it is back to their regular program of $20 a MONTH w/ a $10 purchase sometime during the month.

So buy $300 of BBB giftcards with ink and get $60 back in office max rewards and $15 in UR. Then Spend $360 online at BBB with 20% off coupon and get $100 in BBB rewards Plus portal payout (8% tcb).
So spend $300 and get
$60 office max rewards
$15 UR
$100 BBB
~$25 in portal
And $360 worth of crap from BBBWorth it?
Was considering this myself. Your math is slightly off. You spend $375 to get to $300 after 20% off. But you also need to buy the $29/year membership package because otherwise you will probably only have the 20% coupon for a single item, rather than your entire order. I think it’s a great deal, but I can’t figure out anything I need, and I am trying not to accumulate stuff I don’t need, so I will likely pass.

Is there a maximum on the 100% rewards? Can I order 4 packs of the 24 batteries and get $102.27 in rewards? I always thought there was a dollar figure maximum, but I can’t seem to find it.

No dollar value maximum. The only limit is on the number of packages of batteries or K-Cups you can buy.
I would love to get more batteries to earn rewards but I have about 15 packages already in my garage and they don’t last forever and I don’t drink coffee. Office Depot gives away batteries like Staples used to do reams of paper. There is only so much you need. I wish they could mix it up a little. At one time they offered packaging tape and G2 pens.
I spent $79 more of my rewards yesterday and bought another Google Home Nest Hub. I bought one earlier which will be a Christmas gift to my seven year old and this one will be a Christmas gift to myself. Today my 4 large packages of Bounty paper towels and 4 boxes of Glad trash bags should arrive, which I also spent rewards on. So as you can see I am not just buying postage stamps with my rewards anymore. I figure $1,600 in postage should last me for the rest of my life already.

Thank you!
One thing to keep in mind is that if you donate these new and unopened items to a 501C(3) charity (Batteries toToys for Tots for example,) your total purchase price is tax deductable.
Just a thought.

There is a $2 rebate when you buy 2 Duracell packs on Checkout 51. If you bought a couple of packs on black Friday or since, upload the receipt. The rebates are limited and are running low, but might reset on Thursday with their other rebates.
If you aren’t a member and need a referral, pm me.

Only if you donate the corresponding rewards as well.

that’s not true. if you wanted to be 100% honest, you could claim 50% of the cost of the batteries as a tax deduction since you spent the money but are having to re-spend it again as rewards, but you don’t have to give the rewards up to do that.
-
14% CB still on at RMN @MrVietnam please update title to include CB info, pretty hot offer.

I would love to audit your taxes!
Either way, no matter how you play it, this is a good deal and at this time of year there are many orgs that could use batteries.

YoMV! It’s been awhile since FW days and I just found out the site is gone. Good to you’re on the new PHW. Keep posting those deals!

Is it standard practice to send a refund check for a cancelled order online paid using rewards? I bought Norton on TG day, online for in-store pickup. When I got to the store, they said corp made mistake and the software wouldn’t avtivate on online orders so had to return and rebuy. The store said I would receive the rewards back in a few days, but that didn’t happen. I chatted with OD and they said a check will be mailed in 6 weeks. Not that I’m sad about turning $20 in rewards into cash, but is this the standard? I would think that encourages people to buy and return and get cash instead of rewards, but that’s just me.

No, not the standard, guessing they are so swamped this time of year they didn’t really look that closely or they don’t care. Consider it a Christmas gift!

Office Depot’s cashback rate at retailmenot is now back down to 3%.
However, topcashback is at 7%. If you haven;t done their buy $10, get $3 bonus cashback offer and haven’t maxed out on the free after rewards batteies, or K-Cups, you might want to buy a 100% back in rewards item and get 7% back along with $3. I think I will buy one more pack of batteries now before the offers end. Plus, by choosing in store pick up I will be able to recycle my 10 empties for December and not need to make a special trip for that.

The batteries are no longer advertised as having rewards. Don’t know if the promo is over.

Yes, That is interesting, Last week it said Duracell was extended through 12/27, but today is only 12/8 and it’s gone. I guess only a chat with customer service would verify that, unless their is signage in the store and if there is I would definitely take a picture of it before making a purchase starting today.
I went online and looked up Duracell batteries and none of them are showing free after rewards, so it looks like they ended this offer early.

I just chatted with customer service and he confirmed the offer ended. So they must have changed their minds and ended it early.
