@MrVietnam I can’t remember how they did it last year with this offer, if $80 shows up as the amount or its just a bonus amount that shows up in the check itself. I just turned my ink carts in yesterday, so won’t know my status for a few days, but I’m in that Staples Plus program (whatever it’s called) where you pay $49 a year ($24 in my case on a 1/2 price offer) and get 20 a month.
But why would it say as I posted “Limit 10 a month”? What I am thinking is that although my account says PREMIER they are treating me as a NON-PREMIER customer with the 10 a month limit. That is the way it should be as I have not qualified for Premier for years but have been enjoying Premier status. If they took me off Premier though why does it still say I am Premier on my account online?
Oh I see, but at the very least, wouldn’t you still get $20 for the 10? you got nothing. I’d take a screenshot of your ‘premier status’ on your panel and do a chat and see what you can negotiate with them.
It only has that “Limit 10” verbiage starting with my August recycles though. The ones I did in July don’t say that when I look at purchase details.

I feel like they have a lot of limit 10 verbiage everywhere that doesn’t really mean anything. I think every time you recycle in store it says limit 10 on the receipt.

Sorry. MC. My error. I was looking too fast. Indeed for my July recycling it also says “Limit 10” - but in July even though it says “Limit 10” it shows I earned $40 in rewards. So I guess my only issues are why I did not receive $40 ink rewards today (I will give it a few more days to see if it comes later and then do a chat as you suggested) and why for my 8/9 recycling does it say I earned only $40 (I assume it doesn’t mention the bonus $40 but they pay it later on). So maybe I still have them thinking I am Premier. That’s good at least, especially since I just invested in 400 empties off eBay two weeks ago.

With their new & improved website can’t copy & paste the text of the offer so attached a clip of the details in the OP.
I purchased $75 in ink last month when it was 30% back. Had to call CS since Chat was offline. Had to wait 20 min. They added $25 (total would have been $24.60) but it sounds like its a $25/$25 coupon not a Rewards check since CS told me I’d find it in Coupon Wallet. Exp. 90 days.
The T&C have never had the qualifier “20 if you have Plus or Premier”, its always just said L10. I’ve always ignored that because I knew I was eligible for 20.
My Dad got Plus last year when it was on sale for Amazon Prime Day. It expired July 15 and he didn’t renew. His last ink purchase made him eligible to recycle until Aug. 12. Yesterday we recycled 20 (not 10) just in case. I know there are people who have not had Premier for a while who’ve been able to get credit for 20 empties/mo. Maybe Dad will luck out. If not, its only 10 cartridges wasted.

UPDATE: I now see my $40 ink reward from July 30th recycling is showing up in my account. It was not issued at the same time as the regular rewards, but came several hours later, but it did come and that’s what’s important.

In last November’s double promotion, the bonus never showed up until the rewards were issued.

I just checked, and my July rewards ($40) have been posted. Also, for the first time in quite a while I have a coupon in my “coupon wallet)”: $20 off $60 (expires 8/22).

With the $80 for recycling I’ll have $230 in Rewards exp. 9/30 or later. I had similar “problem” in January-- ended up buying a lot of Charmin & Bounty. Little did I know.

So in addition to paying $4/recycle they’re going to allow me to turn in 40 cartridges according to this guy, for a total payout of $160 this month? (Color me skeptical.)

You can recycle 20 carts and get $80 in rewards vs standard $40.
However, this program runs until 9/9 so you can turn in another 20 bet. 9/1-9/9 and get double again for Sept. But you can’t turn in another 20 in Aug and get $160 in rewards (please chk the end date, I’m typing this off memory, so don’t hold me to that Sept expiration date)

Do you need $30+ in Ink/Toner purchases in the past 6 months to qualify for the ink rewards? I have bought HP Instant Ink prepaid cards (for monthly subscription service). Does that count? Or am I wasting my time going to Staples for this?

So when I recycled my carts yesterday, a $10 off $20 popped out of the register. When I went back in and bought some stuff (including one clearance item to resell on eBay), another $10 off $20 popped out when I paid for that.

ThanksGood question on the ink prepaid cards. If they are sold under the ‘ink’ category at Staples, versus some kind of gift card, I would think they do.
Typically your rewards panel will show you if you’ve met the ink spend requirement and when it lasts to in your rewards panel. Check there. Screen shot of mine to help you know where to look.!

If you bought it and it’s not counting towards ink spend to do recycling, I’d give them a call and inquire. I really don’t know how they classify the ink sub. cards but certainly worth a shot as it’s worth a lot of ink rewards $ to you if it counts.

@fatwking , how much of the prepaid cards have you purchased in the past few months? I bought a $2.99 card a long time ago, to get over a certain minimum. However, I don’t remember if that was for the $30 purchase requirement or for some other ink promotion.

The same coupon printed last month when I recycled. I went back in and bought about $20 worth of stuff and used the coupon, and another $10 off $20 coupon printed. Good luck out there!

Conveniently right after I bought stuff at Staples and even asked what day the rewards were coming, but he didn’t know. Be on the lookout for clearance craft kits. I recycled yesterday and got the $10 off $20 coupon. Got some school supplies for the shoeboxes and picked up a soap making kit (everything included) that was in the clearance section marked $10+. Got to the checkout and it rang up $1 something. Naturally I went back and picked up the other 3 and still had to find stuff to get me over $20. It also spit me out another $10/$20 coupon but I just couldn’t do it.

That is a good idea: Sending Bounty to family members as gifts. It is nice that through the kiosk you can have it sent anywhere you would like.

Another possibility is to buy webcam(s) and resell them. Webcams are hot on eBay at the moment.

I went with ink again. Used most of my Rewards and another $75xx in ink to get 30% back.
I prefer ink to technology because its lower priced and less likely to have an unhappy buyer.
