Interestingly even when I put more than $50 in my online order it still gives me the full 100%+ back even though there is supposed to be a $50 cap per member.
-
If you do ‘chance’ it, please let us know after you pick up how many points you actually get.
Also…4% Cashback at BEFRUGAL and 2-3% at Top Cb.

Even if for some reason you don’t get those extra points you could always just return the items that put you over the $50 mark. I placed a mock order testing it with $60 and it gave me the full $60 back then some.
-
I wonder if you paid with a Sears/K-Mart gift card if you would still get your bonus points. You can always buy gift cards at a discount making this deal even more attractive, especially if ordered through a cash back portal as you suggested.
MC, do you still have a K-Mart near you?
-
Mr. V, you sure most of those points over $50 aren’t bonus points…ie, if you have $60 in your cart you should have like $72 in points credited assuming you were getting the full boatload. If you have $60 and you’re getting about $60, that’s bonus points making up the difference, not the 100% back promo.
-
PS, I ordered about $35 worth, getting $42.xx in points.
-
in answer to your other ??:
Yes, paying with a gift card (vs store credit) should earn the points. it’s a valid form of payment (think store credit works too, just not sure)
My closest KMarts all closed, but I do have one about 25-30 mins away that if the deal is good enough I do it.
My Mom has one 2 miles away and I’ll actually be visiting her this week, so I’m doing the deal to get her stocked up on a bunch of things. I just set the store pick up for her location.

I can’t figure out the rhyme or reason of the point allotment, but I put $59.88 of product in my cart and it said I would be getting back $61.60 in points, so I am not sure why the $1 on every $5 in your cart isn’t kicking in more. Maybe it depends on what you order? I would play around with it and get items that give you the most points back.
-
Any recommendations on what you guys have gotten in the past and liked when this deal ran before? I got trash bags, storage bags, toilet paper (1000 sheet rolls), nuts, and bubble bath (for my children) and I have been pleased with all of them.

I placed an order for $50- somehow got $55 back in points. AFTER that transaction (pending pickup), I added other smartsense good for $50 just for kicks and it shows $55 back in points again! If they truly want to enforce cap on handing out points, shouldn’t they limit my 2nd transaction? Sigh…
@MrVietnam Just because it shows those points, doesn’t mean he’ll get them. And the T&C will override any screenshot appeal to customer service.
Nothing wrong with trying to see if you get the points on more than $50 (by the way, in your example, it’s the bonus points covering the difference, if you knocked a few items off, got it down to $50, you’d find you’re still getting about $60 in points.)
I’m going to wait an see, doing returns at KMart can be a pain and I’m not going to mess with returning an order or orders that don’t credit more than the $50 in free points on the store brands.

Yes, it was mentioned on that other board that he probably was able to do another order after the first in which he maxed the offer because the first order has not been processed yet. Once it is processed, the $50 offer is gone for that account. Any following order will not get $50 back. It is just a time delay.
To be on the safe side I think I will stick to $50 in product only and place only one order until someone else can confirm otherwise or K-Mart changes the terms of the offer making multiple orders of $50 each OK (which they did last year).
-
Yes, the SPRING Water at $2.99 a case is a good deal (vs the purified for same price).
Also, their canned nuts are good, obviously packaged by someone else. they have almonds, cashews, peanuts, etc.
They also sell some juices (apple juice, etc) that you might be able to use for the kids.
I’m going to try a 12 pack of their diet cola and see how it is. They are $2.50 so not a bad price at 100% back.
They also have dishwashing detergent (the liquid like Dawn) that’s not bad either, huge bottle for about $4.

@mrvietnam I’m sure coupons will reduce the points by that amount. so a wash really. Might be better to use the coupon when you redeem the earned points to make them go further.

I just bought a $50 Sears e-gift card for $45.59 on Raise.com (8.82% off) that I will use to pay for my order. I forgot at the time, but I could have got another 2% off (to make it 10.82% off) if I would have placed that gift card order through topcashback.com though.
At Raise.com the card was 6% off but they had a promo code NEWYOU3 that gives you an additional 3% off. The code expires today.
-
@mistercheap ooooh, more free water for the cats!!! TYVM!
I had $24 in Free Cash which I used yesterday. I was handed back an $8 Free Cash card valid from Jan. 21 and a CRT saying I had another for $5/$5. KM is an hour from me but I can get a lot of water for $50.

I usually use FreeCash at Sears so I can get gc. As a result I have a lot in Sears gc.
So my plan…- Use Sears gc to buy water at KM. Get points back.
- Use the points I earned back at Sears buying tools for gc.
- Cash out Sears gc buying other gc at KM. I’ve bought Staples, Panera, Amazon, Shell in the past but admittedly not recently.
-
The trick for me was finding enough Smart Sense stuff that offered free shipping, as my local Kmart store was (regrettably) shut down last spring. Almost none of the grocery products, and only a few paper good items applied. A couple items were even disqualified as I was loading up my online cart–likely the effect of various “deal websites” like this one, har! I sure miss the days of picking up my 100%-points-back paper products and groceries at the store.
Now Kmart pays UPS to ship them to me instead! Whatever helps them out on their crazy race to the bottom!
-
Will the points roll?
-
@dwayne33 you mean can you use them again on the same deal? No because the deal requires oop. If you bought $50 worth of stuff and paid with $20 in pts you’d only get $30 worth of points back.
-
Got 2 tubs of cat litter, will pick up tomorrow. Buying that gave me a $5/5 sporting goods FREECASH.
-
You mean Free cash can be used to buy GC??
-
Question: If I have a $10 FREECASH off $20 Offer in my account. Does it mean I can buy $20 worth of goods (spend $10 out of pocket) and this will give me $10 in points?
-
@mmyk
It means you can buy $20 worth of items and you only have to spend $10 out of pocket (cash or other existing points) and the other $10 from the FREECASH.

Typically, freecash is prorated against all items on the order. if that’s the case, you couldn’t buy $10 worth of smart sense grocery/paper goods and $10 in underwear as the calculation would show you under the $10 for smart sense items in actual oop after coupon.

I placed my near $50 Smart Sense brand order and it is giving me $58 in points back and I placed it via BeFrugal.com, so I am getting 4% from them too. I paid with a gift card I bought at 9% off face value. After I placed my order it triggered two freecash (surprise) points offers: $5 off $5 in apparel and $5 off $5 in home. So I bought a 6 pack of toddler socks for $5 for my little one and I got it completely free. That triggered another $5 off $5 apparel, so I nought yet another pair of toddler socks for free. So just for the socks, after tax, it saved me an additional $10.78. Now I need to think of a $5 home item to redeem the $5 off $5 home freecash offer. Mind you all these offers were triggered by doing the deal I posted in the OP.

@MrVietnam BeFrugal already reported my CB! it did come through. And based on your $50 order/getting $58 back that proves my point that your earlier order for $60 was being covered by the bonus points on the extra $10 spend.
-
@mrvietnam I bought $50.46, earned $59.95 and a $10/$10 Free Cash. Got 14 one gallon jugs of Spring Water for the kids. The 35 ct packs of Purified Water were 3/$11 but reviews said it didn’t taste very good and my store didn’t have packs of Spring Water. I also got a couple of bottles of canola oil, paper plates, a lot of plastic silverware and one bag of tortilla chips.
My receipt says SYW Bonus Pts Earned 10,000, SYW 100% BIP SYW Bonus Pts Earned 49955

I’ll look, thanks. I think the cat litter box for $21.99 is calling my name. I need a new one, and this one fits the bill. How are you all spending these points. I am a frequent Kmart shopper, it’s one of the few stores I have in my little town, but have trouble spending $5 free points, let alone $50 in points. I guess it’s nice not to need anything.

is your Sears a Hometown store or a corporately owned store?

When I was at K-Mart today picking up my online order and a few other things, the cashier handed me a red card coupon with “FREECASH” on the front. The cashier said it should have $5 free points on it that can only be redeemed starting January 19th through the 31st. Be on the lookout for the coupon. The cashier gives it to you.
-
If you bought $50 and it said it was going to give you back $60 and you only got credited $50 and are wondering where the other $10 in points are, here is the answer:
Points for $1 back for every $5 spent overlapping offer won’t be awarded until 2/1/18 and valid thru 2/14/18.

What I don’t understand is that I purchased $50.46 and receipt showed as I posted above. Did I already receive the $1 back wyb $5 or is that coming in Feb. If so, what was the extra $10 I received yesterday. Also, why did I receive $49.95 for 100% back vs. $50? I don’t care enough to ask K but its confusing to say the least.
-
Well that didn’t go as planned. Picked up my 2 cat litters along with 2 other previous orders. Picked up a $5 sweatshirt and used $5 apparel freecash, picked up $6 ice blanket and $5 sporting goods came off like it was supposed too. Thought it was a good Kmart day. But, still no $20 from the cat litter and the syw site said it awarded like 2000 points for the purchase. Now the website still has the 100% promotion, but none of the points are showing correctly. I don’t know whether to return or wait a few days. Well, I’m not going to town until Thursday, so if it’s not fixed by then I will probably return.
-
@briarycliffs I did a 2nd purchase yesterday. Bought $50 worth of Smart Sense & Home Essentials. Received 10,000 for the 5% offer but didn’t receive anything towards the 100% back offer. From the CS desk we called SYWR. They manually added the 50,000 points. Clearly there’s a problem.

Are you checking the account at least 24 hours later? These aren’t instantly credited points on the Smart Sense stuff they won’t show up for at least 24 hours.
I called an they told me to wait and see, if they didn’t appear to call them. You won’t seem them instantly once the order is picked up like with some other promos.

I have $12 of eligible products in my cart and it’s not showing 100% back in points, which it did on Sunday. I’m not going to order anything until I see that it’s working. The deal is noted on the front page of their weekly ad, so there is something definitely wrong right now.

You ordered on line and online is having issues. We went B&M cuz we’re experienced KM shoppers and know better than to trust their online ordering.
Also, selection is better. Most of the items we got aren’t even shown online.Sunday transaction both the 10,000 and 49, 950 points were on our receipt (see above).
Monday transaction at the same store, one day later only the 10,000 was on receipt. On Monday SYWR CSR added the points while we were in store and they didn’t post until Tuesday but they’re there.
We have 50,050 available now and 10,000 available Feb. 1 showing on SYWR.com.On Monday we used the 49,950 earned on Sunday. The 10,000 won’t be there until Feb. 1.
Keep in mind this was on different accts. Limit 50,000 per acct.

Well…I ordered online out of need, not because “I don’t know better”. These were ordered in a different state for my Mom where I picked up the order when I got there. Didn’t have time to spend an hour running around a KMart store. Sometimes, you don’t have a choice. I’ll get my points!! Don’t you worry.
