They sent me $5 Yes2U which will expire on May 31.
I have an item to return once they start accepting returns again. Would like to use the $5 Yes2U with the KC I’ll get back from the return. Any chance they’d extend the expiration date on the Yes2U? Otherwise I guess it will go unused.

Kohl’s will honor expired Kohl’s Cash (in-store only) up to 10 days past its expiration date; however, since loyalty members have a full month to redeem Y2Y Rewards, once those expire, they’re gone…
I am hesitant to suggest this, because of the extra work it would create for the sales associates, but perhaps you could order something for store pick-up, then call to cancel the order (or let the pick-up window expire)…I believe that Kohl’s would re-issue the Y2Y award as some form of Kohl’s Cash (blue or green), but I don’t know how long it would be valid for…

sooo I had expiring KC so I bought something at the end of December with knowledge that I could return it within 6 mo. I even got a gift receipt in case one could still get gc if it was a gift. So I bought with the plan to return.The current policy is that they will accept returns for 30 days after the end of COVID19 “no returns”. It will depend on when each state relaxes as to when store will re-open but if they re-open locally e.g. June 1 it will end up being the same as the original expiration.
I don’t want or need anything which is why I have KC from Dec. 31 turned into merchandise.

To answer my own question, in case anyone else is wondering: It looks like you can still order from a store parking lot, in case you don’t want to go in (or as in my case one time, if the store is closed - especially with shorter hours now). I was at a store yesterday and did a test before I went in. The app showed that I was at a store and offered me free shipping, although I didn’t complete the purchase.

No money spent in December.
About the only thing that I think triggered it was the transition from Yes2You Rewards to Kohl’s Rewards, but I’m pretty sure that was automatic and didn’t require anything on my part like clicking a link or something.

Also, update! I was looking through my deleted emails and saw one from late December titled “You’re so close to a birthday gift + customized offers!” This probably(?) triggered the extra $5 Kohl’s Reward.
It said “Just share your birthday so we can send a gift on your special day, and set your shopping preferences so we can send you more of what you’re looking for”
My birthday was already in Kohl’s Rewards (I also already redeemed my reward in my birthday month), and I looked into how to set my shopping preferences on the app and didn’t see how I could change it, however it is on the website - go to settings and its under my info.
Strangely my $5 Kohl’s Reward shows up on the app, but not on the website…

Another site says generic codes are gone very soon, replaced by 5x use individual codes. I already spend far less there in the past few months than normal. No free shipping and now just a chance at 30% off, plus there brands are getting uglier and cheaper quality.
On the plus side, I did get a $5 promo card in the mail today.

I found no information regarding changes to the 30% Cardholder Events at Kohl’s corporate website, online store, or via email, but I did find a (non-Kohl’s) website announcing such:

Starting February 5th, your Kohl’s Cardholder discount code will unfortunately no longer have unlimited uses… Your unique promo code will now have a limit of five uses, and your offer may be valid for 30%, 20%, or 15% off.

Note that this new coupon process will replace the general 30% offer that Kohl’s usually offers Cardholders.
This appears to be true, as several people have reported receiving unique 20% and 30% codes in the mail for the upcoming Feb 05-15 Cardholder Event and, now, only the 15% general public codes (any tender) and the free MVC shipping code (Kohl’s charge) are being accepted by my Kohl’s Wallet as (future) valid codes…
All of the 15%, 20%, and 30% cardholder codes that previously were accepted as (future) valid codes a week ago, on Jan 28, now show as
"The Promo Code you entered doesn't exist. Please double-check the offer and re-enter the Code."Hopefully, the 40% Mystery Code promos will continue…
