Amazon Not-So-Secret Links and Tips Continued

I loved this post on FW by andyk so I’m copying it over before it vaporizes. I don’t have time to test all the links at the moment so I hope they pasted correctly…
(Spelled Amaz0n to avoid linking because it adds extra space and does not look right.)
Over the years I have collected a few Amaz0n links that may not be obvious from the Your Account level. I am curious what others have you collected?

Thanks, I live for Amazon and Alexa but didn’t know most of this. It will take me hours to soak all of this up.

And it’s a great one to bookmark. I went back to the one on FW often to click through a link instead of even using my browser bookmarks.
Feel free to post any useful links you know of or come across.
Do you know the Alexa add-on trick? Namely that when you order an add-on item through certain Alexa devices (definitely the main ones like the Echo and Dot), you get free shipping!

Does anyone know how I can find those items sold by Amazon (not FBA or third party sellers)? I ask this to get $10 off an item with Discover one click offer. I tried looking at the product description of things I’m interested in, but it doesn’t say if it’s sold by amazon. Is there another way to find out? TIA

What I do is search for a product I’m looking for, then use the filter menu on the left to select Amazon dot com under “Seller.” Is that what you meant?
-
@fivetalents I’ll try that and see if item is sold by amazon. Thanks!

That Balances Link is awesome. I am constantly trying to track down if I have any media credits. Thanks!

Yes! I wish it included balances for all of the Amazon promotional and courtesy credits that only appear at checkout though.
I hope andyk signs up and joins this thread. He was doing an awesome job keeping it updated.
BTW, everyone should feel free to contribute any “secret”/useful/hard to find links, tips, tricks, etc. that they know of or stumble across in the future.
-
@fivetalents I tried it as you mentioned and it worked! TYVM
another method that works is type inside the search box sold by amazon and it’ll show you items you may be interested in.

YW
I didn’t know that search “sold by Amazon” trick… that could be very useful when looking for fillers! Thanks.

What a treasure of Amazon info. Not sure how I missed it at FW. Thanks for posting it here.

if is truly sold by amazon, search “amazonDOTcom llc”, it is the only products you can use Amazon promotional gift credits on.

This is a great list, thank you so much!

Hi Everyone! I found my way here, but never even knew this Amazon thread was on FW!
In any case, does anyone have a trick/method that allows for all of the Amazon deals to be displayed on one page? If not, I will even take a method that allows more than 24 deals to load on a page!
-
Welcome @Pladaroller - while I can’t answer that question and hope someone else will, I at least wanted to let you know that we’re glad you’re here. Please let us know if you have any questions or suggestions as we settle into our new home.

Maybe this isn’t the correct place to ask, but is there a way to cash out Amazon gc?
-
@my4mainecoons To my knowledge, the closest you can get is using your Amazon GC balance to purchase GCs from other merchants (e.g., Starbucks, Wholefoods, Red Robin, etc.). However, it doesn’t work for all GCs or eGCs, and there doesn’t appear to be a clear rhyme or reason to figure out which cards you can do that with.
-
@fivetalents Thanks but I haven’t found a gc on Amazon that I can use. Closest SB is an hour away. No Whole Foods or Red Robin in the state. I get “paid” for taste testing with Amazon gc so I always have a surplus. Its not the worst thing of course but cash would be nice.
-
@my4mainecoons IIRC, there was an article that said Visa GCs are now sold at Amzn but you’ll not like the fees though. I think highest is $100 but it’s a sure way to turn AmznGCs back to cash, if necessary.

It seems that you can now avoid add-on shipping minimums (and get Alexa only deals) when you order through Alexa using the Amazon Music App on Android (no proprietary Amazon device needed). The voice control feature in this app also allows you to control smart home devices without an Echo, Tap, etc.: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004FRX0MY?tag=phtwllt-20

ETA: I played around with the link in the OP and it should work when clicked now.

Free samples: like Amazon’s product recommendations, discover products you might love by trying, smelling, feeling, and tasting the latest products. There is no obligation to purchase or review the products. Sign up for or opt out of receiving samples, and which sampling categories you’re most interested in.
