Weren’t they the ones handling staples rebates all those years back? And by handing, I mean mishandling.

There were worse rebate processors. Staples rebates were fine, especially after switching to electronic submission.

Just tried to price match with Amazon and was told “different manufacturer”. What? The CSR gave me the match anyway as a “valuable customer”. Strange.

For the Visa/MC available from Safeway, MC does not work with PayUSAtax/Pay1040, and Visa does not work with Official Payments.

Check your account in the Amex Offers section for upgrade offers. I just got $0 fee for the first year, and $150 bonus for $1000 spending in the first 3 months. Equivalent to $245 upgrade bonus.

Based on the recent data, using a store’s GC to buy GC is still allowed by the system (why?), but that’s highly YMMV depending on the cashier. Extremely unlikely to work in my area.

I buy $500 for tax payment. Need a similar deal for MC.

Of course. My point is that in-store purchase is NOT a requirement to use in-store coupon.

Use the $10 off $20 for Kiosk orders “PAY AT REGISTER”, just add a instore purchase of at least $10 when checking out.

Other than special order items (such as Ingram Micro), in-store coupons work fine with kiosk items.

I have not seen Staples issuing cash register receipt for order pickup.

These have been issued for a long time. No way to predict what would trigger such coupon. I recycled cartridges (no purchase) on 11/21 and received a coupon valid until 11/28.

@ukedog I had a $20/$60 coupon in my Rewards wallet and didn’t know what to do with it (exc. technology) so I got 3 pkgs of Charmin if you can use Charmin.

Just ignore the exclusions and try it. I used my $20/$60 coupon on a monitor.

Same deal with Visa started today.

Even if the system allows it, you have to find cashiers who let you do it.

Yes, that has been reported in the Safeway thread on SD. Also, auto-drain no longer works, even for regular groceries. Supposedly buying GC with the Safeway GC still works, which does not make sense if they want to restrict the prepaid Visa/MC.

Different credits have different exclusions. There seems to be a max number of discounts/credits per transaction as well.

From what I understand, the change does not force the bank to remove the limit. For example, Ally still has the limit, but over the limit fees are currently waived because of Covid19.
