Anyone else having problems getting credit for the OutsideTV revenue universe videos? I’ve tried the past couple of days and didn’t get credit, they were a big part of the daily list’s discover.

RE: AMEX OFFERS: Spend $75 (tracks by calendar month) at Grocery Stores, get $5 Statements credit (valid for 3 redemptions, 1x a month to 8/31) Select Accounts
Thanks mister c, I didn’t get this one on my Amex Blue Cash Everyday, but when I went searching for it I found a sweet HBO Max subscription deal: $25 back when you spend $99+ (so it’s mainly for a yearly subscription, those are already discounted if you sign up for a year.)
I normally don’t buy $75 of groceries at one time anyway.

Thanks @pitcherswife .
My location didn’t allow customization of toppings on the 6 inch turkey cali fresh, but it sure did include a lot of extras: avocado, bacon, fancy cheese.

AMOE for non-customers for the amazon gc contest
Thanks, Registered with 4 different non-T Mobile numbers and was able to play 4 times. Lost each time.
Use different devices if you’re going to enter 4 times that quickly. T-Mobile has been known to revoke prizes and restrict people from entering in future contests via AMOE.
There was a big scandal in which someone from the same small town kept winning under different names, they’ve changed the rules recently.

Citi Custom Cash Card (5% groceries or other automatic categories up to $500/bill)
One of the better no annual fee cards that came out recently. Instead of rotating quarterly categories that come and go (like with Chase Freedom), this Mastercard gives you 5% back on the category you spend the most on each billing cycle, up to 5% cash back on $500 spent, with 1% after)
There should also be a $200 signup bonus after $750 spend within 3 months available through Credit Karma (which is where I initially saw this). The signup bonus also seems to be working from the direct link on Citibank.

RE: T-Mobile database breach affecting 100 million customers (Social Security, Driver's License, IMEI numbers, etc.)
@sonofzeus said in T-Mobile database breach affecting 100 million customers (Social Security, Driver's License, IMEI numbers, etc.):
Does this affect TMO MVNO customers?
Re-quoting, but good news @sonofzeus , it looks like prepaid accounts possibly leaked only a little info because they keep only a bit of info according to krebsonsecurity:
Other databases allegedly accessed by the intruders included one for prepaid accounts, which had far fewer details about customers.
“Prepaid customers usually are just phone number and IMEI and IMSI,” Und0xxed said. “Also, the collection of databases includes historical entries, and many phone numbers have 10 or 20 IMEIs attached to them over the years, and the service dates are provided. There’s also a database that includes credit card numbers with six digits of the cards obfuscated.”

So, besides changing passwords… What can I do now? I can’t change my name/address/DL/imei/etc
- make sure you’re not reusing the old T-Mobile password on any other site
- make sure you’re not reusing a security question/answer from T-Mobile
- be vigilant about spear phishing from this hack
- consider locking down your email and other important accounts with 2FA
Not much you really can do after a breach. I just assume the info will get out there eventually.

RE: FREE 240GB SSD Drive at Micro Center Stores - while supplies last
Good deal on an SSD that gets fairly solid positive reviews for its price range.
I don’t need it but I think I want it. Question is should I battle traffic on the 405 freeway to get to Tustin before this gets cleared out in the morning.
edit: sold out, well that is that…

@sarahb said in T-Mobile database breach affecting 100 million customers (Social Security, Driver's License, IMEI numbers, etc.):
Thanks @ctujackbauer
I’m pretty vigilant about keeping my info secure. This just feels too close to home (compared to a password/user name leak)There is a silver lining, albeit a small one. The number of affected current postpaid customers is 7.8 million customers, if you believe T-Mobile. The initial motherboard report was based off the hacker/reseller advertising the database as 100 million customers, but actually it only had about 30 million.
Most of the affected (40 million or so) are recent applicants. Unfortunately, I think T-Mobile required customers to type in their Social Security numbers even when just purchasing a phone outright at places like Costco. The numbers were obscured when typing them in but if the applications were compromised, chances of it being exposed are pretty high.

RE: FREE Crystal Farms String Cheese after Cash Back via Ibotta - YMMV - exp unk
Over the years, I’ve never seen Crystal Farms string cheese at any store: Walmart, Walmart Neighborhood Market, Target, the 3 major drugstores, or any grocery store in the LA area.
I’m convinced that I’m chasing an ibotta ghost offer with this one. If someone does find this, please send out a data point just so I can have closure.
Still a good deal though, so I green’ed ya @ctgolfer

RE: $50 coupon to Fanatics.com with 4 Betty Crocker Brand Products inc Old El Paso, Chex Mix, various cereals, etc
Thanks! I absolutely would have missed this deal.
I did this last year (IIRC) when it was a free $25 code. I think at a $50 code it is a no-brainer of a deal.
Free Shoprunner shipping at Fanatics at $59. Usually there are extra fees like handling but if you’re buying one item it usually isn’t too bad. As with most Fanatics codes you can only use one per purchase, so be on the lookout for sitewide percentage off deals that don’t require codes.
I submitted my receipt, hopefully it is approved pretty soon.

Got my code this morning. Gonna buy me a $45 hat - I actually don’t know what I’m buying yet, but prices have gone up quite a bit over the years on Fanatics. Coupon codes and gift cards are basically required for licensed sports merch.
If your code doesn’t expire right away, I’d wait til Black Friday, see if they have some good deals.
I emptied the clip already because there were only 2 left of the item I wanted.
