I’ve been able to make purchases entirely with Kohl’s gift card(s) as long as my Kohl’s charge card is saved as the default method of payment, so that the checkout system can recognize me as a cardholder and qualify my purchase for the 30% savings.
That way, if my purchase price exceeds the amount of the gift card(s), the balance will go directly onto my Kohl’s card, as in @MisterCheap’s example above.
Rewards Members earn 7.5% KC on purchases paid using a Kohl’s charge (vs. 5% any tender); however, I do not know how Kohl’s Rewards are calculated when GC’s are used by cardholders…or when a purchase is split between GC and Kohl’s charge…
I believe Target only gives a 5% REDcard discount on the amount actually charged to the REDcard, and not on the amount paid via Target GC, so, Kohl’s may be similar…

Very good distinction, @mikk1 @fasttimes and @Ma-Barker - would not like a person to purposely delete a thread that had useful content.
My understanding is that we should not delete and purge our own posts and replies, even though we have the capability to do so via the three dots menu, as @elguache pointed out.

The history of deals is a valuable resource, a rich source of information that allows members to compare current deals with previously-posted deals when considering whether a new deal is worth posting/pursuing, or is even a deal at all (has this item/service ever been priced this low before; is this deal unique to this store, or do other stores offer similar deals; did members like the previous deal by up-voting or commenting on it; did anyone point out anything wrong with the item/service/deal, etc.).
In addition, posts provide a wealth of statistical information, such as how many people viewed the post vs. how many replied or voted (often, numerous lurkers will benefit from a deal but never offer any comments/feedback or show appreciation to the OP for finding such a great deal). -
Censorship
Members don’t like seeing posts and threads disappearing mysteriously: it reeks of censorship/revisionism, and creates an uncomfortable environment.
What would be most helpful for ensuring the integrity and preservation of all posts, while keeping page submissions as current as possible, would be for @dangeRuss to eliminate the delete/purge options from the three dots menu and replace them with the option “Mark this deal as expired”, thereby allowing members to safely archive their own posts and reduce the workload of the moderators.

If 100 Y2Y Points do not accumulate within one month, they will not be lost, as with many loyalty programs, but will rollover from month to month until 100 points accumulate.
Can the Kohl’s Visa Prepaid cards be spent anywhere, or only at Kohl’s?
As @jmc reported, the Visa cards are generic and can be used anywhere that accepts Visa.
If the last 3 sentences are true, non Kohl’s credit card holders essentially/almost get a buy 3 get 2 free deal ($20 OOP for the first rebate offer or $15 OP for the 2nd rebate offer).
ETA: the OP says the 12-item rebate offer costs about $2 each when you buy three… but the math looks like a total of about $2 for all three (not $2 x 3). Am I missing something?
A purchase of three small appliances would look like this:

Recoup $36 via three $12 Visa rebates, lowering the OOP cost to $20.07 and $14.97, respectively.

Recoup $15 via Kohl’s Cash (assuming that you were planning on buying something else at Kohl’s, anyway), lowering the OOP to $5.07 and (0.03).

Recoup an additional $2.80 / $2.55 in points toward your next $5 Y2Y Reward (again, assuming that you were planning on buying something else at Kohl’s in the future, once 100 points were reached), bringing the final cost of each to $2.27 + tax for three $21.99 appliances and ($2.58) + tax for three $19.99 appliances.
After sales tax of around $4 (taxed on the initial OOP amount), the adjusted OOP cost is about $1-2 per appliance when three are purchased; if more are purchased, as outlined by @jmc in a related post, the savings could be magnified.
Also, can you use both rebates?
Both rebate forms can be used, as the promotions are independent of one another:
According to the terms of each rebate, there is a Limit of 5 rebates per product per household, which sounds like Kohl’s will, for example, allow rebate #2 to be submitted for 5 waffle makers and 5 slow cookers and 5 large griddles and 5 small griddles and 5 coffee makers (= 25 items, $300 rebate). In that case, the rebate might be issued in the form of a check, instead of as a pre-paid Visa card.
As @MisterCheap confirmed with Discover Deals, certain credit cards offer extra cashback on department store purchases (5% of $56.07 = $2.80; 5% of $50.97 = $2.55), as well as special $-off rewards ($10 off $30); @jmc additionally reported earning cash rewards when purchasing Kohl’s Gift Cards at the grocery store.

I’ve had success getting in and out quickly during the dinner hour and evening (Kohl’s extends store hours until 11pm and midnight until right before Christmas, at which point the stores are open 24 hours), but I think that I would prefer having dental work done over subjecting myself to the chaos in-store during the morning and afternoon, especially surrounding Black Friday and Christmas. But that’s just me.

Today, I remembered to complete the purchase (missing the 6% eBay Bucks promo that ended yesterday), only to discover just now that I could have more than compensated for yesterday’s loss of the bonus 5% with a $15 off $75 flash promo today… (insert wild, purple minion emoticon here)

Just got back from an exhausting trip to Kohls … both my mom and I got the $10 email today … the first order went through fine with my email coupon, my mom’s order went fine with her email coupon, but the mailed card coupon said already redeemed. It appears that Kohl’s merely meant the email to be a reminder that there was a promotional gift available, in case the credit card-size version went unnoticed…
Since the barcodes looked completely different to my untrained eye (filling me with the hope that, not only had I finally scored one, but, I had hit the jackpot with two promotional gifts), I uploaded an image of the unnumbered email barcode to a barcode reader, which then translated the bars into letters and numerals.
I then compared the results of the mystery barcode to the numbered barcode, only to be disappointed that the two were identical.
If it seems too good to be true…

Since the $10 off $10 promotional gift card from the F&F flyer had a barcode on it, I loaded it into Wallet last night and attempted to use it online, in order to avoid the BF mayhem in-store; not surprisingly, I received the error message:
This promo code can’t be applied on Kohls.com. Find out where this code works by checking the offer details. An offer is a horrible thing to waste!
Since I never, ever get these $10 off $10 cards from Kohl’s (just the $10 off $50 ones), I decided to bite the bullet and go to Kohl’s around lunchtime today (allowing time for the early morning Doorbuster madness to subside) in order to redeem my coveted promotional gift.
I entered the store by the customer service counter and was surprised at how seemingly calm the checkout area was; upon, closer inspection, however, I realized that, hidden behind the racks of returns on the other side of the registers, the checkout line stretched down the aisle, turned the corner, stretched down the next aisle for the entire length of the store, turned the next corner…
Not wanting to sacrifice the next two hours of my life by standing in the checkout line, but not quite ready to relinquish my prize, I attempted to bypass the In-Store Only redemption requirement by logging into Kohl’s Wi-Fi (couldn’t access my account), then, when that didn’t work, by using a kiosk…
Two kiosks and a lesson in patience later, I reached the checkout screen and error message:

As I conceded to defeat and trudged through the depths of the store in search of the end of the line, a kind soul tipped me off that the registers by the jewelry department were running 6 or 8 registers, vs. 4 by customer service, allowing him to have made it thru checkout in about 15 minutes!
Not being one to refuse the kindness of strangers, I followed his advice and was thru checkout and out the door no more than 10 minutes later (after first paying it forward by tipping off some of the poor souls still suffering in the other line, once I eventually found the end).
Note: By the time I reached the cash registers, it was after the 1pm promotional cutoff time; happily, however, the card was accepted!
