I noticed no points have credited yet to my account for the GC’s yesterday, says allow to 48 hours to update. If they don’t show, I’ll contact C/S.

I have no objection to doing the $5/5 deal when it comes around again. That’s why I just did 3 deals this go round. I can manage to spend the 3 x $15 pretty easily bet. now and 6/26, but didn’t want to have 5 or 8 of them at $15/15.

@mistercheap I have to find fillers to spend $10 in a transaction, $15 would be even harder. Between the gift card offer $/$ and FreshPass I’ve probably spent <$15/month additional on groceries in 2025.
Since they’re good for several weeks I’d look at the upcoming week’s ad to plan when to use the $/$'s.
yes, that’s the plan. I should be okay with the long window. Hoping for some IB/Fetch offers to monetize part of the $15/15’s. Also, as you mentioned, you can only redeem one at a time on groceries. So trying to spend 9x $5 ones gets time consuming. Every few weeks they run a 3/$14 coke 12pack 12oz can sale, hoping for that.

Great, just back, got $225 in various types of (purple and dark grey). In addition to AMZ, good stores for me include Chewy/Petsmart/Southwest Air/Subway/Lowes and some others. Very pleased. My expiration is 6/26 so far more than 7 days. I’ll use them strategically. I understand your rationale for $5/5, but since you can only get once per trans, would take forever doing 10 transactions for $250 GC’s total. $15 is manageable for me at a time, especially given the 21 days window.

@MISTERCHEAP I was just saying that using Chase Ink for prepaid Visa/MC gc to buy gc at Acme gets you the 5% back when its not the one quarter per year that Discover offers 5% back. I buy the VC/MC for anticipated expenses like dental visits, car insurance, quarterly health insurance and major purchases. Having 3 windows replaced this summer ($12K) and will buy prepaids to use at the lumber yard. IDK when it happened but the Chase 5% spending cap went from $15K to $25K a year! I keep 2-3 $200 prepaids on hand for unexpected bills.I’ve posted about these deals and Zillions cards several times, not sure why only now it’s being discussed.😉 I prefer the smaller deals like $5/$5 for buying $25 gc and $10/$10 for buying $50. Sometimes I stacked the $5/$5 or $10/$10 with a Fresh Pass $5/$5.
In Feb. I bought $25 PetSmart and Chewy (via Zift Zillions) gc for $5/$5’s. In March bought 8@$50 Lowe’s gc and 2@$50 Zillions cards. Bought a stove from Lowe’s to use up the gc, had 10 @$10/$10 to use in 2 weeks. In April I bought 8@$25 Zillions cards (Ace HW) and have used half of those already. The rest will be used in July. Always purchased on Sat or Sunday for 4x points. Always paid with prepaid Visa/MC from Staples for 5% Chase Ink.
@my4mainecoons what piqued my interest in the Zillions was the ability to redeem for Amazon. It’s hard to find Supermarkets that even carry AMZ cards these days as they view them as a competitor where groceries are concerned. They opened an Amazon Fresh grocery story near me 8 months ago that I’ve been going to quite often and can pay with the AMZ GC’s there. Also for PRIME renewals and other stuff bought on AMZ. Just can’t buy non AMZ with AMZ GC’s.
A question for you on these ZILLION cards say $75 is loaded on one card, do you have to redeem for one merchant card for $75 or can you split it up into 3/$25 redemptions? TIA

I also have two more 100% back deals on my Fetch account. One is for 2 free Kinder chocolate singles and the other is for Pedigree Drizzlers dog food (limit 3). You have to keep in mind that free is not really free. When cashing out on Fetch for a $50 gift card you will pay 10% in points extra to get that $50 gift card, so these 100% back items are cheap, but not free (expecially if you have to pay a bottle fee and sales tax like you do here in CA). I wish Fetch offered you to cash out for $100 gift cards, too.
A lot of these 100% items go quickly, so even if it says the rebate is good for a few days or weeks, I highly recommend going to get it right away. The rebates for the nicer items often go fast. I remember about a month ago Fetch offered 100% back on 3 packs of Best Foods mayonnaise at Sam’s Club and you could do the deal several times. The deal was supposed to be valid for about a week. I looked for the deal before going to Sam’s Club about two days into it and it was already not available anymore.

most decent $50 GC are priced in the 53-55,000 points range. so 8.5-10% devaluation of points. I’ve never understood why Fetch feels compelled to do that. I can understand on the prepaid Visa type cards, but if I choose to cash out for a GC on Ibotta, it’s straight $ for $ on merchant cards. It’s a little shady IMO and they aren’t very transparent about how they come up with these ‘prices’ for GC’s. I mean Acme/Alb are 54,500 for $50? come on.

@mistercheap IDK if you have a Chase Ink. I buy the $200 prepaid gc when there’s no activation fee. Get 5% back. Use those gc to buy GC at the supermarket year round.
I use prepaid gc for anything that’s not giving me at least 5% back. Top Cashback doesn’t allow prepaid cards to be used on gc purchases.
Discover also has the 5% Grocery promo right now, using that to pay, getting tomorrow when the 4x points kicks in.
PS, yes @my4mainecoons I do have Chase Ink. Always leery of sitting on $100’s if not $1000’s of dollars of prepaid cards. But it’s a good suggestion if you’re not adverse to going that route.

Where Are CVS Closing Locations?
CVS has not released a list of locations that will be closed amid this strategic realignment, and declined to provide any details of which states or cities may be affected.
However, according to consumer-focused website The Krazy Coupon Lady, citing local news sources, 34 CVS locations have either already closed or announced scheduled closures in 2025: (see link)
@mrvietnam Thx for filling in the details. while it is all unverified info right now, I’d have to think store closings will be staggered by part of the country. Can’t imagine every store in every state is locking their doors on the same date. We’ll find out soon I guess.

I’ve had a lot of problems using the egc’s at Walmart as you outlined. I’ve had much better success with the walmart pay method.
Here are the directions:
Get your e gift card.
open your walmart app
Click account along bottom
Then Account Settings
At the very top it says “Hi (name)” to the right of that is a gear symbol, click on that to get into settings.
Then wallet
Once in wallet, scroll down to ‘add new payment method’. choose gift card, follow the prompts. E GIFT CARDS ARE DEFINITELY ALLOWED/INCLUDED!
Enter info/click save card. It should then be added to your wallet offerings showing the GC balance.
To pay in store at SCO:
As above, go into your wallet where it shows all your payment methods on file.
Scroll down to “Tools To Shop In Store” Walmart Pay click and open, scan the QR code on the register screen at SCO to have the funds pulled from the GC to pay for your order. If there’s walmart cash to be earned on the order, it will be deposited into your account for the next purchase.

@my4mainecoons yes, you have to add the gift card to your walmart app wallet (assuming you can add an egc there, I know you can add a plastic one). otherwise an egc at self checkout is a nightmare.
If it’s in your walmart app wallet you can scan the bar code from your app at the register to pay with the funds from your app wallet.

Also, I had any receipt offers for Vons and Albertsons (2 any receipt offers per store) that were bumped up from 500 to 1,000 points for Fetchtopia.
Ibotta runs hot and cold, at least what you earn there is straight $ for $, and you can cash out via paypal. When Fetch has good promotions, you can do well. Just cringe at what they charge to redeem for some better gift cards, most $50 GC’s are 55K points, which kinda sucks.

I only go there to pick up a monthly prescription for my wife. The shelves have pretty much remained bare since their last bankruptcy.
indeed they have. for a time managers were telling me around the holidays/1st of the year things would be restocked, it never happened. Which made this news not the least bit surprising. I’ve met many nice/hard working employees at Rite Aid, I hope as many stores can be saved by another party as possible so people have jobs. However I am not holding my breath given the current climate for retail drug stores.
