How is the quality of these $1 flip flops? Will they last a while?
In the past my sister would always buy flag t-shirts at Old Navy for my children around the Fourth of July. Are these available now? How much do they cost?

One thing I noticed about Amazon Prime is many of the videos on their service you have to buy on an episode by episode basis or an entire season basis, so not only do you have to pay once for Prime but once you pay you have to pay again to get some content.
I have Amazon Prime on my Samsung big screen smart TV. Does anyone know if my 5 year old gets a hold of the remote can he just buy episodes at the press of a button or is their some PIN that has to be entered first? I have a large banked Amazon gift card balance on my account but I would rather not use it up by having my son buy shows without my knowledge at the press of a button.
Thanks. I got a $10 AT&T Prepaid refill card for $5.09, 49% off. The seller was offering it for $8.09 and the coupon took off another $3 to make it a great deal and for something I could actually use.
Toys R Us Liquidation: Senator Wants Store to Redeem Gift Cards for Cash
It’s becoming increasingly likely that Toys R Us will indeed end up in complete liquidation (we wrote about this before). All UK stores are already confirmed to be closing, and that’s the likely outcome for U.S. stores too and all U.S. stores are now confirmed as being shut down too leaving tens of thousands without jobs.
If that happens there’s a good chance all Toys R Us gift cards will become worthless as the stores may not accept them during the liquidation process, depending on how the agreement is structured in court.
In fact, UK-based Toys R Us locations already don’t accept gift cards since March 11. As of today, U.S. based stores are still accepting gift cards, but that could change any day.
Senator Chuck Schumer from New York sent a letter Wednesday to the Federal Trade Commission, asking them to ensure consumers have time to use their existing gift cards before Toys R Us closes up shop. He also mentioned the idea of consumers being able to redeem gift cards for cash. (NYDailynews) This is part of a broader conversation about the consumer protections for store-specific gift cards.
If you are holding any Toys R Us gift cards, use them up now. If Schumer gets his way, it would be a valuable proposition to hold onto the cards and cash them out, but the more likely eventuality is that the cards will be honored for use, not for cashout, or that they’ll become entirely worthless.
@mistercheap
Yes, Toys R Us has filed for bankruptcy and is in process of being liquidated. After 70 years in business, the iconic retailer is set to close out U.S. operations before the end of the year.
USAToday clarified with a Toys R Us spokesperson via email today that all gift cards will continue to be valid for 30 days. Gift cards should continue to work through April 13th. Be sure to use all your gift cards up by then. Use them sooner rather than later since you never know what kind of stock will remain in the stores as they continue depleting their inventory.
@dangeruss said in Staples Plus membership 1/2 price ($24.50) until 12/1/18:
HIghly recommend this is you’re not going to hit $1k in spending and want to recycle 20 carts per month instead of 10.
With the extra 10 carts of recycling you could have the $24.50 fee paid off in slightly over a month and then get another 11 months of pure profit. Other benefits of Staples Plus are free next day delivery with no ,minimums and 10% rewards on ink and toner purchases. It looks like they won’t allow you to pay with a Staples gift card and it looks like they charge tax on memberships (at least in CA).
So since Premier is now on a rolling 12 month basis and not on a calendar year, how can I know when my current Premier status will end?
Now if there was just something worth buying at Staples…

Congrats to everyone who was able to pick up on time before what will, I’m sure, be mass cancellations. I wonder why corporate decided to pull the plug? The coupon applied and no fraud involved, so what’s the big deal?
Wouldn’t work for me: The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.
Actually it depends when you made the required supermarket purchase as to when these gas credits expire. I have two 50 cent credits that expire 1/31/19 and I have already redeemed both of them. Two of the 50 cent credits don’t expire for me until 2/28/19 because I (purposefully) didn’t make the required supermarket purchase until 1/1/19.

To help lower your OOP and therefore lower the sales tax you have to pay, Office Depot is offering 20% off one item (if ordering more than one item in your order the 20% will come off the most expensive item). Coupon Code 68485782
(Of course, for the 100% back in rewards offer you only get back what you paid. This is just to save you some pennies off your tax bill. Saved me 23 cents plus $3 less in Rewards I would have to spend later):
20% Off Regular Priced Purchase: Valid only at officedepot.com, by phone or fax or in store. Minimum purchase required after discounts and before tax. Must present this original coupon (reproductions not valid) to cashier in store at time of purchase. Use the coupon code for phone or fax orders or enter the coupon code to cart online at checkout. Cannot be combined with Store Purchasing, Procurement or Retail Connect Cards. Cannot be used as an account payment. Cannot be combined with Rewards Member or Business Select pricing. Not valid for purchases: 1) made in Office Depot or OfficeMax clearance/closing stores; 2) of gift or prepaid cards; 3) of any technology or consumer electronic products and accessories or media and software products; 4) of performance protection plans; 5) of postage or mailing/shipping services; 6) of same-day business cards; 7) of any HP, Epson or Samsung products; of all electronic labelers and labeling accessories; 9) or appliances; 10) of subscription services; 11) of 3D print services; 12) of off-site shredding services; 13) of tech, furniture, marketing or administrative services; 14) of Centriq or any third party services; or 15) of premiums/free gifts with purchase. Coupon is good for one-time use only, is not transferable, is not for resale or auction and cannot be combined with other sales, offers or promotions. No cash back. Void where prohibited. We reserve the right to limit quantities sold to each customer. Limit 1 coupon per household/business. Coupon expires 12/22/2018 11:59 PM ET.
I would recommend only taking advantage of one 100% back offer per online order. I placed an order for the flashlights and the Sharpies together. They all have shipped, but I only got 100% back for the flashlights and for the Sharpies it said I earned the money on the Rewards activity screen but when I took a closer look it said:
Home / Rewards / Rewards Activity / Rewards Details
Rewards Details
Order Number: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Order Date: 12/16/2018
Rewards Earned: $11.58
Rewards Details Item Description Reward Description Rewards Earned Rewards Paid Date Posted
MARKER,SHARPIE,FINE,5/PK,BLACK
Item # 134000
Rewards Details Bonus Rewards: 100% back on Sharpie® Permanent Fine-Point Markers 5PK (12/16 - 12/29)
I have a lot of new packages of Sharpies already, so I will return these to the store to get my money back when they arrive today by courier. But lesson learned: do not combine more than one 100% offer in the same online order because evidently from my experience you will only get paid for one. The one that ships first.
When I chatted with Rewards customer service they said I did not earn Rewards back because I paid with an Office Depot gift card, but I know that has nothing to do with it (except stop them from issuing a manual credit for the missing Rewards). Luckily the flashlights shipped first because that is what I really wanted the most.
EDIT: I finally received rewards for the Sharpies. It just took an extra couple days for some reason. So you can stack 100% back offers in one transaction and get credit for each offer.

Reminder this offer expires in 7 more days. I just placed my order today and it will arrive on Wednesday. Not bad getting a third off.
I placed my order a week before the offer expired, but as of today the offer is expired and I still haven’t been charged by Google Express. Will I still get the $20 Am Ex credit once Google Express charges me or am I screwed?
@dangeruss said in $20 American Express Statement Credit w/$60 in Purchases via Google Express thru Apr 29 - Select Cardholders:
@briarycliffs Me too… Target takes forever to charge for some reason, I chatted with google and they said it takes 7-10 days after the order is delivered.
I placed another order last night (from several merchants) and we’ll see if the charges make it through properly.
The target charge finally posted, but was about a week backdated, which is really weird, since that statement already closed, so it’s on the next months statement.
My charge (backdates as yours) also finally posted two days ago, but to date I still have not received the Am Ex $20 credit. I will give it another day or two and if I still don’t see it I will have to fight for it and call Am Ex. customer service. Did you get your $20 credit yet? Was it automatic or did you have to call in?
My $20 credit just posted today, but interestingly the credit had the date 4/30. I got the credit. That’s the important thing.

YMMV on getting this coupon accepted at a Sears store. I used it one time and then I came in the next morning to try to use another one but the cashier said they are no longer accepting that coupon per the manager. I decided to go to a different Sears store and one of the managers happened to be my cashier and said that they are nor accepting that coupon as it is not a Sears coupon. He said Retailmenot made it and it was not authorized by Sears. I wonder if I get order online and just enter the coupon code online and bypass the cashier altogether. Those are the only two Sears stores in my area. At least I was able to use the coupon once to get a great deal.

Was denied use of the cpn by a young cashier (20’s) .
Denied how? What was their reasoning?
I’m not Diggler, but in my case the manager said it was not an authorized Sears coupon and it was made by retailmenot. Don’t know if that’s true or not. That’s just what he said. After using the coupon once on the first day it came out, I was denied using it again at two different Sears stores. There is one more Sears store in my county. I will be in the area tomorrow, so I will stop by and try to use it there. I guess the trick is finding a cashier willing to scan it as the coupon itself scans fine without issue.
I would be curious to know the reason given to others for them not accepting the coupon.
You would think if retailmenot made the coupon without Sears knowledge or approval, they would be facing legal action. My guess is Sears is just blowing smoke and it is really authorized. Why authorize a coupon though if you won’t allow people to actually to use it? Maybe they just want to get you in the store and hope you will spend money buying something else. I notice at my local Kmart they are also very cautious with coupons. Every time I try to use a printed SYW coupon the cashier asks a manager to see if she can scan it.

LOOOOL. There are 600,000 people in this state. The largest city (where Sears is located) has 210,000 people in the metro area. That’s probably population in 5 square miles where you live.
Ok. Gotcha. You must live out in the hicks. I’ve never been back East, so I was s little ignorant.
In the city I live alone there are about 325,000 people and I am an hour away from Los Angeles, which is the second most populated city in the country. There are nearly 40 million people who live in my state as compared to the 600,000 who live in your state.

@mrvietnam be sure to look at list which qualify, only select types. Dig Qs works but must be right variety. Had to do return rebuy on first transaction
I didn’t know there was a list anywhere about which ones qualify. Is it listed on the digital coupon? Luckily I was finally able to get 5.4 oz Crest with Scope and they worked for the digital coupon and RR. What was funny is in the ad they had pictured Crest 3-D, but when I price checked several Crest 3-D’s, none of them rang up at $2.99. At the first store I went to none of the Crests had tags for the ones on sale and in the ad it just said on select varieties, so I had to do a lot of price checking.
One of my RR is lightly printed in certain areas (The ink in the Catalina machine was going out). I hope they will accept the RR even if it will not scan. I am keeping the ad and the receipts I earned them on so I can show the cashier if push comes to shove. They are valid for 14 days. Now the problem will be how to monetize the Register Rewards or at least find some good deals to spend them on in the next 2 weeks. At Walgreens that will be a challenge,

Good idea you had to stock u[ when the price is right. I’m in for another set of 3 of twin line. Now no more excuses. I just need to get in the habit of daily flossing.
All three of the twin-line bags I got today had a 50 cents off coupon stuck to each bag. When I picked up the flossers I asked if I could redeem the coupons and she said the only way she could do that is by canceling the online order and ringing them up at the register, but because I wouldn’t get the $5 gift card that way I declined. Bummer you can;t use manufacturer coupons on online orders at Target.
YMMV, but I am just back from doing MrsGuin’s disposable razor deal at Walgreens and I got a $5 in Rewards Wagner you spend $20 Catalina coupon. That will come in handy when I redeem the two $7 OYNO Cats I got from this deal.
Good deal. Thanks. I will do the deal today.
EDIT: Just back from Walgreens. Deal worked exactly like advertised, except the prices in my area (Orange County, CA) were about 20 cents higher than the prices you stated.
YMMV, but after one of my orders a $5 in Rewards on my next $20 purchase Catalina coupon printed. That will come in handy as I have two $7 OYNO Catalina’s to redeem from the Walgreens toothpaste deal MC posted a few days ago.
Isn’t 200 points equivalent to roughly $2? Not much of a reward.
I just checked my Am Ex EveryDay Card and I see I got a version of the offer you posted, but my offer offers me 400 Membership Rewards points for a $40+ spend, up to 3x for a total of 1,200 Membership Rewards points.
Here are the terms of the offer in case anyone is interested:
Offer Terms
ENROLLMENT/ELIGIBLE CARDS: Enrollment limited. Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards that are enrolled in the Membership Rewards® program at the time of purchase are eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Your enrollment does not extend to any other Cards that may be linked to the same Membership Rewards program account (such as Additional Cards). Offer is non-transferable. ELIGIBLE PURCHASES: Offer valid only for eligible purchases at gas station locations in the U.S. An “eligible purchase” means a purchase made with your enrolled Card at a U.S. gas station location by 11/1/2019. Offer excludes online purchases and marina fuel or any type of commercial fuel (e.g.- jet fuel) purchases. “Gas station” means a merchant that is primarily in the business of selling gasoline to consumers. A gas station may sell other convenience items, but its primary business must be selling gasoline to consumers. The following are NOT considered gas stations: superstores, supermarkets, and warehouse clubs that sell gasoline. Not valid for corporate card transactions. Purchases may fall outside of the offer period in some cases due to a delay in merchants submitting transactions to us or if the purchase date differs from the date you made the transaction (for example, the purchase date for online orders may be the shipping date). If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the additional points. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. Merchants are assigned codes based on what they primarily sell. Your transaction also will not qualify if the merchant’s code is not eligible. In addition, in most cases, you may not receive the additional Membership Rewards points if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party. EARNING POINTS: Limit of 1,200 additional Membership Rewards points per Card Member. The enrolled account must be active, in good standing and not in default to receive the additional Membership Rewards points. These additional points are in addition to any points you would normally receive for purchases on your Card under the terms of the Membership Rewards program. When we calculate the additional points benefit for Amex EveryDay® Card products, points awarded under this offer will not be included. Additional points will be credited to your Membership Rewards program account within 90 days after 11/1/2019, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. We may not credit additional points to, or we may take away additional points that have been credited to, your program account if the qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. Terms and conditions for the Membership Rewards program apply. Visit membershiprewards.com/terms for more information. Participating partners and available rewards are subject to change without notice. The value of Membership Rewards points varies according to how you choose to use them. To learn more, go to www.membershiprewards.com/pointsinfo. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer. Bonus ID: B5HD POID: GDUT:0001
