I occasionally send small boxes through the post office, so I usually plaster the box with Forever stamps instead of having the clerk meter it. Luckily for me I do not see the Post Office as ever closing up shop, even with the mass of Internet bill pay and the like, there will always be a place for paper mail IMHO. I could see though perhaps Saturday mail delivery eliminated and maybe some weekdays. I see Forever stamps almost like an investment vehicle (not to mention probably the best way to cash out Office Depot rewards). They will always keep their value and you will undoubtedly get a fair return on your investment. Worst case scenario I can pass them on to future generations.

RE: USPS Postage Rates Going up Jan 27, 2019. Buy Forever Stamps to save 10% Later
Not recommending, but just learned of this company. They will buy Forever stamps books and rolls at 70% of the current face value. So if you bought a roll of first class Forever stamps now for $50 (perhaps by cashing out Office Depot rewards), after the rate increase to $55, you would be able to get back $38.50, so only be out $12.50 to monetize your roll of stamps. From doing a simple Google search, you can see that there a handful of companies that do the same thing, but it looks like the 70% amount they pay for a book or roll of stamps is pretty constant.

RE: Expired: Office Depot 1/6 - 1/12/19: 100% back in rewards on select Duracell batteries (includes most sizes, not just AA or AAA) - Limit 2
@geezlouise said in Office Depot 1/6 - 1/12/19: 100% back in rewards on select Duracell batteries (includes most sizes, not just AA or AAA) - Limit 2:
When placing an order this evening I noticed that the fine print on the batteries reads that the limit is 4. So for anyone who ordered 2 earlier in the week, there is still time to order 2 more.
Bonus Rewards: 100% back in Rewards on select Batteries: Valid in store, online, by phone or fax from 1/6/2019 to 1/12/19 11:59 PM ET or while supplies last, whichever occurs first. Rewards are limited to 4 items per member. This offer cannot be combined with other Bonus Rewards offers on the same or similar products and services
Good catch. I called earlier in the week and was told it was a glitch, but like you said now they changed the limit in the fine print too, so I guess they are changing it to 4 this week because they screwed up.

It shows limit 4 in the picture and limit 2 in the fine print. Wonder what the actual limit is.
I noticed the that, too. To be on the safe side I only ordered two. Probably if someone called or chatted with the Office Depot Rewards Department we could get a definitive answer. Probably fine print will always win out.

RE: $10 AMAZON Gift Card with 5 coke codes
That’s strange. I registered and was entering my Coke cap codes and everything looked fine until I got to my final cap code. After I entered that I got this error message:
WE’RE SORRY
It looks like you’re ineligble to win the prize.
WE LOVE YOUR ENTHUSIASM
However, you’ve already entered five cap codes and earned your $10 Amazon.com Gift Card and five sweepstakes entries.**
I knew this offer sounded to good to be true. Has this happened to anyone else? I wonder if I did anything wrong? Looks like I wasted 4 of my cap codes for nothing.

RE: $10 AMAZON Gift Card with 5 coke codes
fyi from the fine prints:
Special Offer for Bite by Sodexo App entrants only: If you play the Promotion via this method only and accrue 5 Punches before the end of the Promotion Period, you will unlock the Offer which is a $10 Amazon.com Gift Card (“GC”) which you will receive as a digital code via email.
sound like you should be entering your codes via the app and not via web browser, just thought i throw it out there as you can enter the codes on the web too?
In a way it is my fault. I should have looked at sd to see if it was working before I wasted my cap codes. By the way, no one got the gift card yet, It is not instantly awarded but awarded at a later date, if it comes at all.
However, tI dont think the terms are a problem per se. I downloaded the app and found the promo. The in-app link and the one posted are identical. Neither contain tracking or a unique id.
Did this actually work for you, MC, or are you just passing on information? I heard from sd it worked for the first few hours at least. Now it seems to be dead, just will eat up your codes and give you nothing back for it.
Add insult to injury. It looks like the CVS $2 Amazon will never unlock either, so there went another 2 codes x 3 accounts for nothing.

In checking the validity of this offer, I learned that there are two Sodexo locations in the Nashville area, one called Sodexo Food Service in Nashville and one called Sodexo Incorporated in Franklin (just outside Nashville). That’s about 80 miles from me. I can call and try to get through to someone who knows about this promo and can verify whether it requires the app or not. I entered 5 codes and received a message after the last one that said “We’re Sorry. It looks like you’re ineligible to win the prize”, but when I went in again through the OP’s link, it said I’d entered 5 codes, and when I hit “Continue”, the message said "We love your enthusiasm. However, you have already entered five Coke codes and earned your $10 Amazon.com gift card and five sweepstakes entries"
AND the email received after registering my email says "Thank you for entering the 2018 Sodexo Holiday Sweepstakes today. You’re now entered in for a chance to make your holiday extra bright by winning $5,000!†
Come and enter cap codes from any participating Coca-Cola 20 oz. product for more chances to win. Don’t forget! If you enter 5 codes, you’ll earn a $10 Amazon.com Gift Card.**
†NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. See Official Rules for how to enter without a code and all details. Ends 12/31/18. Open to residents of the 50 U.S. (or D.C.), 18 years or older. See Official Rules for details.Yep. That’s the same thing that happened to me and countless others on sd. Please call and let us know what the status is.

Nope. That’s the COPY/PASTE of my thread from Credit that Mr. C posted to DD. As I wrote in the OP Of this thread:
In the meantime, a copy/paste of my thread (sans hyperlinks) was posted in DD, where there’s been a spirited debate over whether enough eyeballs will see the notification.
In the thread in DD, the opening sentence even states:

My apologies. I was mistaken. This is good information. Now I won’t have to pay to unfreeze and freeze back again my credit when a good welcome bonus comes along.I have heard about copying and pasting threads from other boards such as sd to here, but this is new copying and pasting PW to PW.

RE: MCR - Coke rewards $2 Target e-gift card w/ 4 codes, limited time
How many accounts per household does Coke allow? Is it 4, as long as I create the accounts with different people’s names? I have three accounts in the same household all with different family member names and email addresses. One time years ago I made the mistake of opening two Coke accounts and using my name on both and when Coke realized it they shut one of them down and I lost about a thousand points. I think I will just play it safe and be content with the three accounts I already have.

Answering my own question, I entered 5 codes and Coke Rewards keeps track of how many codes you have entered, so you don’t have to enter all 10 codes at one time.

@meed18 said in FREE $5-$10 Amazon Gift Card For Submitting 10-20 Coke Product Codes:
I would wait to enter until you have 10 codes ready to go. If they end the promotion (it says while supplies last and there were lots of “sold out” rewards in their last platform) before you enter all 10, you will probably lose whatever you entered.
So far I received $30 in amazon credit. If I had known they were going to run a promo as good as this one, I wouldn’t have tried to liquidate so many caps right before the old rewards platform shut down. Oh well, I’m just happy I kept collecting caps.
I thought the limit was 2 Amazon cards ($10 total). You must have multiple Coke Rewards accounts set up, right?

RE: AmEx Offer: Spend $99+ On Amazon Prime Membership & Receive 5,000 Membership Rewards
One thing I noticed about Amazon Prime is many of the videos on their service you have to buy on an episode by episode basis or an entire season basis, so not only do you have to pay once for Prime but once you pay you have to pay again to get some content.
I have Amazon Prime on my Samsung big screen smart TV. Does anyone know if my 5 year old gets a hold of the remote can he just buy episodes at the press of a button or is their some PIN that has to be entered first? I have a large banked Amazon gift card balance on my account but I would rather not use it up by having my son buy shows without my knowledge at the press of a button.

RE: 150 ToysRUs stores closing. Full list
Toys R Us Liquidation: Senator Wants Store to Redeem Gift Cards for Cash
It’s becoming increasingly likely that Toys R Us will indeed end up in complete liquidation (we wrote about this before). All UK stores are already confirmed to be closing, and that’s the likely outcome for U.S. stores too and all U.S. stores are now confirmed as being shut down too leaving tens of thousands without jobs.
If that happens there’s a good chance all Toys R Us gift cards will become worthless as the stores may not accept them during the liquidation process, depending on how the agreement is structured in court.
In fact, UK-based Toys R Us locations already don’t accept gift cards since March 11. As of today, U.S. based stores are still accepting gift cards, but that could change any day.
Senator Chuck Schumer from New York sent a letter Wednesday to the Federal Trade Commission, asking them to ensure consumers have time to use their existing gift cards before Toys R Us closes up shop. He also mentioned the idea of consumers being able to redeem gift cards for cash. (NYDailynews) This is part of a broader conversation about the consumer protections for store-specific gift cards.
If you are holding any Toys R Us gift cards, use them up now. If Schumer gets his way, it would be a valuable proposition to hold onto the cards and cash them out, but the more likely eventuality is that the cards will be honored for use, not for cashout, or that they’ll become entirely worthless.
-
RE: 150 ToysRUs stores closing. Full list
@mistercheap
Yes, Toys R Us has filed for bankruptcy and is in process of being liquidated. After 70 years in business, the iconic retailer is set to close out U.S. operations before the end of the year.USAToday clarified with a Toys R Us spokesperson via email today that all gift cards will continue to be valid for 30 days. Gift cards should continue to work through April 13th. Be sure to use all your gift cards up by then. Use them sooner rather than later since you never know what kind of stock will remain in the stores as they continue depleting their inventory.

RE: Staples Plus membership 1/2 price ($24.50) until 12/1/18
@dangeruss said in Staples Plus membership 1/2 price ($24.50) until 12/1/18:
HIghly recommend this is you’re not going to hit $1k in spending and want to recycle 20 carts per month instead of 10.
With the extra 10 carts of recycling you could have the $24.50 fee paid off in slightly over a month and then get another 11 months of pure profit. Other benefits of Staples Plus are free next day delivery with no ,minimums and 10% rewards on ink and toner purchases. It looks like they won’t allow you to pay with a Staples gift card and it looks like they charge tax on memberships (at least in CA).
So since Premier is now on a rolling 12 month basis and not on a calendar year, how can I know when my current Premier status will end?

RE: Office Depot OfficeMax Rewards: 100% back in Rewards on select Flashlights and Duracell batteries - Limit 2 - 12/16/2018 - 12/22/2018
I would recommend only taking advantage of one 100% back offer per online order. I placed an order for the flashlights and the Sharpies together. They all have shipped, but I only got 100% back for the flashlights and for the Sharpies it said I earned the money on the Rewards activity screen but when I took a closer look it said:
Home / Rewards / Rewards Activity / Rewards Details
Rewards DetailsOrder Number: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Y12/17/201
Subtotal $11.58
Tax $0.90
Delivery Fee $0.00
Qualified Payment $0.00
Order Total $12.48
I have a lot of new packages of Sharpies already, so I will return these to the store to get my money back when they arrive today by courier. But lesson learned: do not combine more than one 100% offer in the same online order because evidently from my experience you will only get paid for one. The one that ships first.
When I chatted with Rewards customer service they said I did not earn Rewards back because I paid with an Office Depot gift card, but I know that has nothing to do with it (except stop them from issuing a manual credit for the missing Rewards). Luckily the flashlights shipped first because that is what I really wanted the most.
EDIT: I finally received rewards for the Sharpies. It just took an extra couple days for some reason. So you can stack 100% back offers in one transaction and get credit for each offer.

Found a DD
Mott’s apple sauce 2/$5 get $1 BC weekly L2
monthly $2 wyb $6
Buy 5 for $12.50 get $2, $2, $1, $1
5 for $6 or $1.20 eaIf you do this deal it is the six 4 oz containers that are $2/5 and the monthly deal is only good for the regular variety (not cinammon applesauce). It doesn’t work. I tried.

I did not realize it was a digital subscription. Where does it say that? Did you only find out after going through the sign-up process? I updated the thread title to reflect that. Thanks for the feedback.

RE: $20 American Express Statement Credit w/$60 in Purchases via Google Express thru Apr 29 - Select Cardholders
@mrvietnam said in $20 American Express Statement Credit w/$60 in Purchases via Google Express thru Apr 29 - Select Cardholders:
Reminder this offer expires in 7 more days. I just placed my order today and it will arrive on Wednesday. Not bad getting a third off.
I placed my order a week before the offer expired, but as of today the offer is expired and I still haven’t been charged by Google Express. Will I still get the $20 Am Ex credit once Google Express charges me or am I screwed?

@briarycliffs Me too… Target takes forever to charge for some reason, I chatted with google and they said it takes 7-10 days after the order is delivered.
I placed another order last night (from several merchants) and we’ll see if the charges make it through properly.
The target charge finally posted, but was about a week backdated, which is really weird, since that statement already closed, so it’s on the next months statement.
My charge (backdates as yours) also finally posted two days ago, but to date I still have not received the Am Ex $20 credit. I will give it another day or two and if I still don’t see it I will have to fight for it and call Am Ex. customer service. Did you get your $20 credit yet? Was it automatic or did you have to call in?

My $20 credit just posted today, but interestingly the credit had the date 4/30. I got the credit. That’s the important thing.
