EDIT: There is only a limited selection of gift cards to choose from. For some of the more popular stores, like Amazon and Walmart, you have to pay entirely with their loyalty points, so you can’t get one of those with this deal. My kids like pizza, so I chose the $40 Dominos e-gift card for $30. So with the discount it will bring Domino’s 2 medium pizzas for $11.98 down to only $8.99, so only $4.50 for a medium, 2 topping pizza wyb 2.

They do have a few eGifter branded cards that let you use the card at a wide variety of stores of your choosing, but you would have to load $50 instead of just $40.

I hear you, MC, and couldn’t agree more. TCB sucks. Many of my TCB orders don’t track either. I rarely use them anymore and now I give most of my business to Retail Me Nit. They have excellent customer service and have paid me cashback even when my orders didn’t automatically track. Plus RMN pays a higher percent cashback than most sites.

EDIT: From reading the article, no, it does not list locations they plan to close. They are probably still figuring that out. There are a lot of Rite Aids in my area. Within a 5 miles radius of my house there are around 8 Rite Aid stores.

Hey, MC, since this is not a deal per se, wouldn’t this be better placed in the deal discussion forum?

I went to Rite Aid and found a nearby store that had the tags up. Evidently regarding Christmas toys, Rite Aid is taking a different approach this year than they have in previous years. The toys are 50% off now through 2/19/22 (not a typo). It looks like the Christmas toys will not go to 75% off until 2/20/22. I think they are taking a different strategy regarding holiday clearance and trying to make more money. They must figure they can slowly sell them at 50% off and people will buy them up sooner or later before going to 75% off. I found the two stores I was at pretty much sold out of Christmas gift wrap BEFORE Christmas. It looks like the stores were not delivered as many Christmas products this year as in year’s past.

I copied down what was on some of the tags and I will type it up below. It looks like the only things that are 75% off now are Rite Aid brand Christmas cards, Rite Aid brand Christmas gift wrap, Christmas lights, and home decor. American Greetings boxed Christmas cards are only 50% off (through 1/1).

Here is the breakdown:

Interesting quirk happening to me at Recyclebank the last several days. I will click on the point makers and my balance will immediately go up by 5 or 10 points, depending on the value offered. But then, when I refresh the page, the total points goes down to what it was several days ago and when I look in my detailed point history it does not show me earning any points the last several days. I can’t re-earn those missed points because now it says “POINTS EARNED” or “READ MORE” and does not allow me to earn the points again. Really weird.

I would actually be upset if these points were worth anything.

Is this happening to anyone else?

In MyPoints I tried to redeem for a VIsa gift card and I got a screen from MyPoints asking that I fill out a W-9 form for the IRS presumably so they could report my earnings to the IRS so so it could be taxed.

Instead of filling out the W-9 and being taxed there was also the option to wait until next year and a final option to redeem via PayPal in which case no W-9 form was necessary. Usually in MyPoints PayPal redemptions cost more that VIsa gift card redemptions…

It had to happen some time, but years ago when their competitor, the 99 Cent Only stores raised their prices they went from 99 cents to 99.9 cents. $1.25 is a huge jump for a store that claims to be a dollar store in the name of their company.

I got my Tide stockpile on sale over the years at Rite Aid. I think I paid about $2.25-$2.59 each after all offers. I must have around 100 bottles of Tide sitting in my garage. Maybe due to that I should look for another way to spend my $5 OOP at Walgreens for this deal.

As a side note, I noticed the mailing padded envelopes that Sam’s Club uses to mail out gift cards are very easily torn open, but on the other hand when I buy a Walmart gift card and have it sent to me it is in a much stronger mailing envelope that is impossible to open unless you cut it open. Sam’s Club should learn from that. They should also require that all gift cards be signed for. Maybe they have a certain dollar threshold when they do, but a while back I bought a couple hundred dollars in gift cards for Golden Corral from Sam’s Club and I didn’t have to sign for those either.

It will forever be a mystery who stole the gift cards from the mailing envelope, but whoever it was, they did the dirty work almost immediately after it was delivered. Just 5 minutes or so after from online tracking it says it was delivered, I went to pick up the mail and the envelope had already been breached. My wife thinks it may have been the mailman or the Fed Ex driver, but who knows? You would hope you could trust those guys. Maybe it was just an opportunistic crime and someone happened to see the Fed Ex truck and decided to strike. I guess I need to start mailing my mail at the Post Office and being a lot more careful with my mail and packages. Like not letting mail or packages sit out on the porch for any length of time. Unfortunately I also received the physical $20 Philadelphia Cream Cheese promo gift card that day and I lost that, too. I will have to call them and see what they say…

Quite possible. Maybe bronze got $2, silver $4, and Gold $6. When we get more data points we can tell with more certainty, but I am happy with my free $12 20% off or not.

If you are looking for cheap Kellogg’s products to score an Amazon gift card, a couple days ago at Rite Aid I saw some small, single serve bags of Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes in the dollar section and they had 50 cents off peelies on them, making them only 50 cents each. YMMV on your Rite Aid having the peelies on them though. They also carry single serve cups of Kellogg’s Corn Pops and Fruit Loops for a dollar, too.

I’m really liking this KFR rewards reboot. It is much easier to score a gift card now then it was before. Does anyone know if there is a limit as to how many KFR accounts a household may have? We have two now (one for me and one for my wife). Just wondering if I dared make new accounts for other people in the household.

In the T&Cs I see a limit of one account per participant, but no mention of any limit per household:

I use couponfleamarket.com. There you can see many sellers and pick one that is closest to you. The trick is to order as soon as you can, so by the time you receive your coupons the sale at the store you are planning to redeem the coupons is still going on and/or the store still has stock.

I noticed the Fetch offer a few days ago. I have checked for many months and in my area nowhere sells Good Humor Vienetta and even at 50% off Klondike cones and shakes, they are still too expensive. Thanks for posting the offer though,
