Well I ended up finding the 79 cent folders, so I placed 3 new orders and was able to pick them up so hopefully I get the money even though the first 3 orders were canceled. I already got the 5000 plus 100 + 25 for each order (so 750 points). Hoping the 10000 come through too.

You can tell if it went through or not by going back to the offer and click on it and if it says mission accomplished, that means it tracked and you will get the fetch points in 90 days. The 5000 points you got was for making your first order through the app to a third-party merchant, such as Staples.

I think you are right. Most likely it tracks from when you went to Staples through the link on their site and it really doesn’t matter what the e-mails attached to either account are.

My offer was for 10,000 points also, but there’s an additional offer that you get 5000 points on your first online order through fetch

I just picked up my three goldersfrom Staples. They were $.79 each plue tax and now an hour later I see I was awarded 15,375 points on a $2.59 spend. Wahoo! Thanks sonofzeus for sharing. 5375 fetch points are now available in my account balance and the other 10,000 points are pending. I think they’ll be in pending probably for 90 days, but as long as I get them for sure which I will, I don’t mind the wait.

No, you cannot pay for the membership fees with a Target gift card. It wouldn’t allow me too and I had to use my Target Red Card to pay. Unfortunately in CA I have to pay sales tax on memberships, so that added $4.53 to my grand total.

@MrVietnam that’s really strange. I was able to pay the entire $49 using banked GC’s! you don’t get the 5% discount paying w/red card and since I’m getting $50 back in rewards it was a wash with no OOP. Wonder why it wouldn’t let you? I had no issues whatsoever and no sales tax on the membership here in my state.

Yes, that is a little strange. I tried hard to use target gift cards to pay for my fee but no matter what I did it wouldn’t take them, but that’s not too big of a deal.

The only thing I can think of is I tried to enter a gift card at check out. I didn’t have it previously banked in my account, but I’m not sure that would make any difference. I think they prefer you to pay with a credit card or Red Card because they have automatic renewals so it kind of makes sense for them not to accept gift cards for payment.

So looks like we have 23 more days to enter codes and win free food and other stuff. 11/4/25 is the last day to enter codes.

It should be noted there are 3 ways to get the $49 annual membership price (the regular price is $99 a year):

1. If you are a Circle Card holder (formerly known as Red Card). This is a free card and easy to sign up for it.
2. If you are a college student
3. If you are on public assistance

It looks like the freebie item and monthly discounts get added the first of each month.

Even though I signed up today (10/12/25) it still let me choose the freebie item for October! They had five items to choose from, 3 were not available anymore, but the one I chose was $10 off Good & Gather groceries. Good & Gather is Target’s store brand of groceries.

The $50 back in rewards instantly posted to my rewards balance! Wahoo. You use it up like an electronic gift card at the register.

One important thing to remember though is that this membership like most memberships are automatic renewing ones, so if you don’t want to have it automatically renew you can turn off automatic renewals or just remember to cancel a day before the end of the year term.

I think I will go for it as it is essentially free after rewards even if I do nothing else. Just have to spend the $50 they give you back in rewards sometime in the next year. Thanks, MC.

I saw. Thanks for updating I guess if they give you the membership basically for free (a/ $50 in Target Rewards as you stated in the title of your post) then everything else is just gravy on top, pure MM.

It looks like the real value of this free after rewards membership isn’t for free shipping because if you have a Red Card, you get free shipping anyway. The real value is for all the perks that they give you. Like they give you a free product every month and then they also give you rewards back when you make certain purchases or make a list of 10 items and you get $10 back. Since the $49 membership is free after $50 rewards, all the other ways to make extra rewards back are just pure MM. I bet just the free product offerings each month for a year will add up to around $100.

With Black Friday less than 8 weeks away it may be best to wait until then as there might be better deals at that time.

On both my account and the one I manage I am only allowed to recycle only 6 carts a month at $2.50 each. I am allowed to recycle an additional 10 at a measly 50 cents each, which I pass on. So each month I am only able to add $17.50 to my rewards balance from recycling (the extra $2.50 is for recycling a single alkaline battery).

I read just now on Slickdeals that when Staples has 100% offers they tend to jack up the price, so it is very important to pricematch whatever you buy.

Regarding cash out of points, it may be beneficial since Black Friday is so close by to wait to cash out until Black Friday and pricematch whatever you want to buy at that time with companies like Amazon or Walmart.

Also, passport photos are 100% back and rewards this week.

I don’t have nearly $1500 in rewards. Much less actually. It’s very possible that you have a most valued customer designation because the amount you have banked in rewards. With that much in rewards, you better be very careful about your account security because if somebody compromises your account all that could go away in minutes. I would change your password regularly. Now I think for a big amount they require you to show ID when redeeming. Before you could just give any phone number and redeem any amount of points. My household actually has two rewards accounts. Mine and one for my wife, which I manage for her.

@sonofzeus Of course I would verify like you said, but unfortunately, from reading what Google said it looks like it would not qualify because they would only cover it for up to what you paid on your credit card. So if I only paid $25 of the laptop price on my credit card, the extended warranty would only cover up to that $25 that I use my credit card to pay with. But, like I said in one of my earlier replies, I am happy to forgo the extended warranty to get a good deal on a computer and cash out my gobs of points (before simeone else does it for me, as has happened in my rewards account already).

The only downside is you don’t get the free extended warranty if you don’t use the correct credit card.

I think my credit card will give me the extended warranty, even if I put only a portion of the purchase price on the credit card. So I can use mostly rewards and just put a small amount on the credit card and I think it will still be covered with American Express at least.

If I buy luggage from Staples, I will pricematch and pay with our huge REWARDS balances. Our nephews may be getting rollaboards for Xmas this year.

I am pretty sure you can’t pay with Staples rewards points and still earn Staples rewards points… Perhaps you can pay for part of it with Staples rewards and part of it out-of-pocket and you will probably get the part you paid out-of-pocket back in rewards.

So she just gave me a courtesy $10 credit on my account. She said it has no expiration date.

Not only does CS credit not expire but it has no minimum spend. If you make a purchase <$10 it will use the amount of the purchase and leave the balance in your account for the next time.

So I guess I should be hoping the coupon does not print, so I can get my reward with no expiration rather than just a two-and-a-half week expiration.

I bought 3@$50 Zift cards in 3 back to back transactions and received 3@$10/$10’s. I used different accounts for each one but that shouldn’t matter. I’ve never not received the $/$ even when doing e.g. 4 back to back transactions on the same account, same cashier, same register.

In April the $/$'s didn’t take off any money the first week of the deal. Very odd. There was no problem in March but April glitched. The $/$ must not have been programmed in. It got fixed by week #2 but because of that I use an experienced cashier, not SCO when redeeming for the first time. That way they can manually enter it if it glitches. No issues this cycle. Used a $10/$10 without any problem ~15 minutes after receiving it.

Has anyone tested yet to see if the 4% offer on any gift card stacks with the 10% for the Zift gift cards? I hope it stacks automatically otherwise we’ll have to contact customer service. They might say that you’re not allowed to stack offers that it might just be one offer per purchase. I figure with the 4% back offer for every $50 gift card you buy you should be getting an additional 200 points on top of the 500 points for the 10% offer…

I plan on going out in a few minutes and testing it out. I’ll post if it automatically included the 4% offer also when it figures out the points if no one has already done it and posted before me. I seem to remember that MisterCheap tried to double dip the last time around and it didn’t post both offers so the chances are a phone call will be required…

I wonder if there’s anything in the terms of each digital offer that exclude them from being used with other digital offers at the same time.

Just back from Vons. I bought two $50 ZIFT cards in two back-to-back transactions. For some reason the $10 coupon printed on the receipt on the first transaction and not on the second transaction, so I will be calling customer service shortly.

Points-wise, I got 600 points for each $50 transaction. I had the 4x offer clipped, but yesterday I also clipped a 2x offer and evidently it attached to the 2x offer and not the 4x offer. It looked like the 2x offer was only for food items, but I guess not. So perhaps they fixed it from the last time around, so both offers would attach.

EDIT: Just got off the phone with Vons customer service and at first she said she wanted me to send her a screenshot of the offer, which I was happy to do, but she sent me an e-mail to reply and attach the screenshot but I never got it. So she just gave me a courtesy $10 credit on my account. She said it has no expiration date. I didn’t want to press my luck by asking for 2x more in addition to the 12x they already gave me so I just let it be. I want to get more ZIFT Amazon gift cards, but I don’t know if I dare if it is not guaranteed the $10 coupon will print on the receipt. I guess I could just call them again if it doesn’t print, but I don’t want to press my luck or take a loss.

To recap, I bought one $50 ZIFT yesterday and got 500 points and my $10 coupon. I bought two ZIFT this morning and on the first I got 600 points and the $10 coupon and on the second purchase I got 600 points, but no $10 coupon on the receipt.

EDIT2: I just bought a fourth ZIFT Amazon $50 card and I did get 600 points and the $10 coupon printed.

I remember from last time around there is some limit to how many ZIFT cards you can activate per email or per day or something like that. Does anyone remembe? I think it was two cards per email address? Is that per day or what?

If it is only valid at Safeway stores, would it be possible to buy a $50 E gift card to Safeway as that gift card could be used at any of the Safeway family stores? How would one go about doing that?

@MrVietnam Re ‘e’ gift card, as long as it is sold by and billed as safeway.com it should be fine, but not a third party gc biller like cashstar.

Personally, I’d buy a plastic one in store and pay in store for it. No telling how these things get coded for online purchases, but that’s just me.

Well, the reason I was asking about E gift cards is because I have no Safeway store within hundreds of miles from my house. That’s why I was wondering if it had to be Safeway or it could be part of the Safeway family. I tend to think the former.
