@dangeruss I consider Chase points to be real money so wouldn’t spend them that way.

My offer is just $10 off $75 and has been that way for a while.

@mtnagel I prefer business machines. Machines for home use have always disappointed me.
I have other Rewards accounts and I use the points on those to buy stuff. -

@my4mainecoons If you aren’t going to play games, I would just get a Mac if you can. It’s really night and day between PC laptops and the M series Macs.
Gemini agrees that the one with the faster CPU is better, if you were to buy the dell.
I didn’t see any Mac Books on Staples.com, just tablets.

Laptop processorsposted in Technology
I’m comparing 2 laptops and the only obvious difference is the processor with the one with the faster processor being a little less expensive. Why is that? Does it matter if one doesn’t play games?
The specific laptops are this one and this one.
I have $1100+ in Rewards on this Staples account, 99% of which is from ink recycling.
I don’t really need a laptop ATM but why not?

there is also a $10 promo card wys $50 in the app, if you wanna throw that in the picture.

Does this offer have to be activated?

@ohsheet I use a different device and IP address (Staples, Panera, HD, Shaw’s, etc.) when submitting multiples. The issue with P&G is that you have to have a separate PGGE account.

@mistercheap Actually I had already planned to do that because even though I activated the 30% back it didn’t hit my account until 2 hours later so I didn’t get the bonus points. I’m hoping the return-rebuy can just be done on the in store receipt even though it’s a Kiosk order.

@ohsheet They only issued that because I purchased yesterday.

Tempted to do it again; I have a 2nd P&G account that I could use. -

@mistercheap Wal-Mart just lowered their price on the Bounty. Now $5.89/pkg. 9 pkgs = $53. $2.56/pkg after PM & AR.
I like that Staples gives the price per roll. It shows that the larger packages are actually more expensive. The Dawn jug is $22.89 @ Staples, $7.84 with limit of 3 @ WM.
I got 4 Bounty & 4 Dawn for $54 at Staples after PM.
5% Chase ink.
The Dawn sold fast at yard sale last year. -
J4u Stores $5/$5 wyb $25+ select gc 4/11/25-4/24/25, YMMV based on sales weekposted in Expired Deals
It’s back again
. I’ve gotten so many $5/$5’s and J4u points from these offers.
Last time I got Ace gc (via Zillions) to buy Ben Moore paint.
The time before I got Lowe’s gc to buy dishwasher, range hood and back splash.
Now that PetSmart charges shipping for wet pet food I won’t be buying PetSmart gc.This time the options are: Zillions, Cinemark, Cracker Barrel, Instacart, Jimmy John’s, Domino, DoorDash, Fandango, Old Navy, Golf, PlayStation, Lowe’s, Ulta, Regal and a restaurant group.
Remember to activate the 4x gift card J4u offer on Saturday AM and to purchase cards on Sat. or Sunday.

Staples has 30% back in Rewards on all cleaning supplies which is the same $15 offered by Wags & Amazon. I checked the rebate T&C. Staples would be “Other Brick and Mortar” or “Other Online Order” at the bottom of the Retailer drop down list.
Remember, P&G “penalizes” for coupon use so your total must be $50 after all coupons including Rewards are applied.
Bounty $7.99 @ Staples vs. $6.97 at WM comes out to $3.70/pkg for 7 pkgs vs. $5.09/pkg for 8 pkgs AR.

@ctujackbauer I’ve found a dozen or more hummingbirds today. Once I reached “all but one” the only thing I’ve won is an entry. The 25¢ might be my big win.

3/17 Samsung
Got another at Ali Express.
ETA: I now have 1 less than needed to win the prize in every candy. I’ve found a bunch o’ birds but now all I win is a prize drawing entry ticket. I’m guessing that’s all I’ll win from now on.

RE: Topcashback Sweet Treats Hummingbird Hunt, ends 3/19posted in Expired Deals
I clicked on the Double Points Back offer. There are 7 merchants. I got hummingbirds on 2 of them. One was the 25¢ cherry lips. Woohoo! Of course YMMV.

The $5/$5 expires 4/3.
Can only use one per transaction but can use with the $5/$5 Fresh Pass which will reset on 4/1.My stores don’t carry Ace gc! I got a Zillions that includes Ace but I’d rather have an actual Ace card. Since its GCM I’m going to see if Staples has Ace and try ringing it up at Shaw’s.
ETA: No Ace cards at Staples either. Maybe not in this state.🤔

CIT Platinum Savings (4.30%) Promotion
Boost your savings when you open a new Platinum Savings account with the promo code PS2025.
To meet the promotion requirements, make one or more deposits within the 30-day period after you open a new account or enroll your existing Platinum Savings account. Only new funds deposited or transferred from outside of CIT Bank count toward bonus eligibility.
The Promotion begins on February 26, 2025 and can end at any time without notice.
Bonus Amount New deposits to Platinum Savings
$225 At least $25,000 (based on 60 day hold 0.90% x 6 = 5.40% + 4.30% = about 9.70%)
$300 At least $50,000 (based on 60 day hold 0.60% x 6 = 3.60% + 4.30% = about 7.90%)
https://www.cit.com/cit-bank/platinum-savings/ps2025It’s a savings account with a 4.3% fixed rate? It’s been a very long time since I’ve had a regular savings account.
What’s the logic for a better return on the smaller amount? -
J4u Stores $5/$5 wyb $25+ select gc 3/14/25-3/27/25, YMMV based on sales weekposted in Expired Deals
The specific merchant cards aren’t great (Ace, Hulu, Buffalo Wild Wings, Golf Now & PlayStation) but the Zillions cards are included.
Pick the Zillions card that has your favorite merchants, e.g. last time I got one that had Amazon, Macy’s, Lowe’s, Chewy and others on it.
You go to the Zillions site, register the card then generate eGC’s for what you want, whenever you need them. I could use the above example as eg $10 Amazon, $10 Chewy and $5 Lowe’s or $25 Chewy.Purchase a $25 Zillions card on Saturday or Sunday to earn 4x j4u points having clipped the j4u offer on Saturday or Sunday. Earn 100 points and a $5/$5 CRT plus whatever your cc gives you. Even without the cc it’s $6 on a $25 purchase (24%).
IDK if the Hulu gc can be used on the Disney±Hulu deal.

RE: Top Cash Back has added new gc optionsposted in Deal Discussion
@c3 I usually buy a 3rd party gc with Shaw’s gc so need a cashier. I don’t recall using one for groceries.
-
RE: Top Cash Back has added new gc optionsposted in Deal Discussion
@c3 if the cashier is inexperienced they may have to call for help but I’ve used many Albertsons and Shaw’s eGC’s without any problems. I have less difficulty with Shaw’s eGC’s than with Wal-Mart’s. It’s a rare WM cashier who can enter an eGC without help.
-
Top Cash Back has added new gc optionsposted in Deal Discussion
The most notable one for me is Albertsons which includes Safeway, Acme, Shaw’s, Jewell et al. and gives 4.05% back. They also added Chewy, Walgreens, Ikea and others.
I’ve skipped many of the $2.50/$15 offers because I they didn’t have a gc that I needed but I can always use Shaw’s cards.
I presume if they’re selling these gc that we can also redeem for them. -
RE: Kohl's Cash ultimate giveaway event ($5, $10, $15, or $25) in-store only 3/7 to 3/9posted in Expired Deals
“Coupons will be distributed daily while supplies last, but we’ll restock them each day. So if all coupons on Friday are already handed out when you arrive, you still have a chance to get one if you return Saturday or Sunday
Coupons will have a value of $5, $10, $15 or $25. Open the Kohl’s Cash coupon when you receive it to see what you got
The Kohl’s Cash coupon is instantly redeemable and can only be used in store the same day you receive it
One giveaway coupon will be distributed per household per day and only one giveaway coupon can be used in a transaction.”There goes my plan to use 3 on a single item.

RE: Just4U Digital: $40 off a $75 online pickup order at ACME (sister chains?) valid to 3/11 (YMMV)posted in Expired Deals
After receiving the exact same canned response I actually got a reply. They said that the offer was “in store only”. I asked how I was supposed to know that. They said to look on the list of participating stores. (?)
I’ll just call this a failed experiment. While the 2% for an online order is ok, its not worth 70¢ to build a cart, empty it, then link through iBotta to place the order. -

@mistercheap "We reviewed your account and, unfortunately, your 03/01/25 Shaw’s purchase isn’t eligible for cash back. If you’re trying to redeem an Online shopping offer, your purchase must be completed and paid for online using the retailer’s app or website, not in-store.
If you want to earn cash back for in-store offers, you must complete your purchase inside the store, obtain an itemized paper receipt printed from the register, and submit it in the app. Invoices, emails, online receipts, and receipts printed on 8.5 x 11 paper are not considered valid forms of submission for in-store offers."
I replied that I purchased through Shaw’s website iBotta online. I have the 2% credit for an online purchase. Waiting for a response.

@mistercheap That’s the $5/$25 Signature Select offer that I mentioned above. It expires today.
I got most of the $25 buying cat chicken. Got canola oil & produce as fillers.
Thanks for the pb suggestion. I’m out of freezer & refrigerator space so have been getting shelf stable items.
Just added a PB and reached $25. 🙂
Two weeks ago I had 12@$10/$10’s from the $50 gc deal so there’s nothing I need.
I thought about saving one account for next week but cat chicken is on sale this week. -
