I turned in 30 cartridges and technology in one transaction and got points for everything. My regular 20 cartridges, the 10 bonus for $25.00 and the technology.

I picked up a box yesterday at Office Depot for $17.00 and used rewards to pay. They had about 8 different boxes of snacks for the same price. On-line they are $20.99. Do a price match at Staples.

It’s the 2nd Thurs of the month (as of EST) and I just got the $5 Reward for recycling a cable in Feb, a couple days before the new program began. I also got 1000 pts for recycling another cable right after the new program began. So total of $10 (Reward & Pts) for tech recycling in Feb due to the program change. In addition to the 1000 pts for recycling a cable last week in March.

And I received my ink recycling rewards for ink that was turned in under the old program.

U.S. based CSR told me that wouldn’t work.

Worked for me. I already received both rewards. The coupons under the old program expire 3/31/2024.

Old program 3/31 expiration are for JANUARY tech recycle, not Feb. they wouldn’t be paid out until March, so no way you could know for sure yet.

Checked my old rewards again and the expiration dates on all of them are now 4/30/2024.

I just chatted. I recycled before Feb. 7 and those 20 will be credited as per the old program. My monthly recycle limit went up to 30 but since I recycled for Feb. under the old program the 30 doesn’t start until next month.

CSR said that the offers were “fluid”, based on spending and that there aren’t any target dates or spend amounts.
me: if I can recycle 30 this month how do I know if it’s the same the next month?
CSR: check your account each month before you recycle

CSR: there’s no way to know. There’s no spending target. The statuses (Elite, Premier, Base) are gone.
me: why does it say that points will post in 24-48 hrs but in the Ink Recycling T&C it says that it can take up to 60 days?
CSR: 60 days is if you do it online. If you do it in-store it’s a “one & done” transaction like any other in-store purchase and will credit within 24-48 hrs.

I recycled ink both before and after the 7th. The points I earned for the ink I recycled this past weekend already appear in my account. If what the CSR told you was correct, I should not have received the points for the ink I just recycled.

I guess I was a bit confused as the latest rewards were issued earlier than normal (February 8th) as maybe they were closing out that program. I took a screenshot of the page under the new rewards that show I have 20 cartridges to recycle before I recycled them.

OT- I see they are trying to save by cutting store hours as well. Now the store doesn’t open until 11AM on Sundays, was 9AM. Used to be 8AM during the week and they pushed that back to 9AM-8PM, not even open 12 hours.

One store near me opens at 10 and another at 11 on Sunday. It has been that way for a while.

I bought a $200 visa gc and recycled a cable & 15 ink @ 400 points. I was expecting 7K points but only earned 6600. 🤔

Yeah, something similar when I recycled 20 inks on 2/8. I got 1,000 points “when you recycle tech, batteries and more”, then 400 points 19 times for the inks, for a total of 8,600 points.

On the bright side, they say I already have $43 of “Easy Rewards ready to redeem”.

But I definitely miss the ability to SEARCH site-wide on their website on my PC.
Have to use the Staples mobile app for that!!

Same thing for me with turning in 20 and only showing the 400 points 19 times.

What troubles me about this is, absolutely NO mention of the ink rewards program (changes, does it continue, etc) especially for those of us who have invested in cartridges and spent $50 on ink in recent months to get the 7 month benefit of recycling total. They’d better not reset the program and penalize people who’ve already bought ink or even worse, D/C it altogether. I never trust announcements that give you no information other than to tell you ‘how great’ a new program will be, but we’ll just ambush you with it on 2/1.

If it’s so great, then tell me what you are planning to do! otherwise it’s not great to be left in suspense.

My Walgreens is horribly understaffed. Last year I waited 1 1/2 hours for my flu shot even though I had an appt. People with appts before me waited over 2 hours. There was only one pharmacist who was filling prescriptions, handling calls, and giving vaccinations. My wait would have been longer but a pharmacy technician finally appeared just to give vaccinations.

This $20 Wag cash offer was tempting, but after last year I decided to try CVS this year.

I guess other Walgreens are horribly understaffed and overworked too.

My appointment was at 4:00. I arrived 15 minutes early and was out of there in 10 minutes. The shots were given by a pharmacy tech.

I got two vaccines and received two of the $20 rewards coupons as well. I did not have to clip any coupons to get the rewards coupons.

I always go inside, yesterday the manager checked me out and scanned my order with a hand-held gizmo that closed out the order as picked up. My first time with this experience, and no register receipt. I asked her,she said it was all digital.

They always ask me if I want a paper receipt when I pick up the order at the store near me.

I did Sunday and Monday’s offers and picked them both up on Monday. I also do it tomorrow to get the $20 bonus.

And as I get older, the 24 packs are much easier to carry than the 40 packs.

I wonder how much life is left in the battery. There are lots of cordless Dysons with dead batteries for sale. I would like a cordless vacuum but what I really need is someone to actually use one of the 3 vacuum cleaners that I own. On a plus note, the old Sears store near us, shuttered for 3 years, is due to reopen as a Home Depot early next year, after remodeling.
I say Godspeed to that! Our local Lowe’s store is a real clown show!

The nearest Sears store here is still vacant while the Kmart was turned into a Burlington and a soon to open Ross store.

I recycled a UPS and didn’t receive the $10/$30 q on my receipt. Checked the receipt and it said Battery Recycling. I had the cashier ring it up again as Other Technology. Got the $10/$30 but more importantly I knew I’d get the $5 for recycling whereas I might have had to argue for Battery Recycling.

The recycling is $10.00 this month.

The 450 cartridges now go for $97.95.
