LIVE in Burger King APP: Buy any menu item at reg price, get two free kids meals

  • Global Moderator

Burger King restaurants in the United States will start offering two free kids meals for one adult item purchase, Bloomberg reports. The offer will reportedly be available for orders placed through the restaurant’s online or mobile apps.

I saw on another board that this offer won’t require you to buy an adult combo meal, but will work with any purchase:

Burger King is offering two free kid meals when you make any purchase through the BK mobile app at participating locations.
    Valid 3/23 – 4/6
Works on take out, drive thru and delivery orders (free delivery on orders of $10+)

The cheapest regular-priced items at Burger King are $1 I believe, so this is really a hot deal. What makes this deal scorching hot IMHO is you can do it once daily for a two-week period. I don’t know how much a kid’s happy meal costs, but say it is $3.50. If so the deal would be spend $1 OOP and get $8 of food, daily.

2 free kid meals with a free side of Coronavirus ?

Probably not according to the CDC:

Unlike foodborne gastrointestinal (GI) viruses like norovirus and hepatitis A that often make people ill through contaminated food, SARS-CoV-2, which causes COVID-19, is a virus that causes respiratory illness. Foodborne exposure to this virus is not known to be a route of transmission.

Won’t all this processed food lower your immunity and make you more susceptible to COVID?

Probably, however I’m supposing this is not all you eat everyday and you are still eating healthy foods such as fruits and veggies and whole grains.

    From a quick Google search:
Can your food make you sick? Studies have shown spikes in sugar intake suppress your immune system. When your immune system is compromised, you are more likely to get sick. If you eat a lot of foods and beverages high in sugar or refined carbohydrates, which the body processes as sugar, you may be reducing your body’s ability to ward off disease.
“Eating a well-rounded diet high in pretty, colorful veggies and fruits will give your body the vitamins and minerals it needs to fight off illness. These foods help your body regulate and stabilize to work at peak performance,” says Samer Blackmon, M.D., an internal medicine specialist at Piedmont. “Believe it or not, what you put in your mouth serves as one building block to a strong immune system.”

@MrVietnam normally I’d say cool and great, but given circumstances right now, I personally think it’s tacky to ‘game’ the offer. They are doing this to help out families who are out of work, so if you can afford to spend $5 on a sandwich or combo meal to get two free kids meals, do it. You are still getting more value than what you laid oop (say $5-6 to get $14 in food total)

Well, now that you mention it, I am one of those families out of work. I work in the public schools and the schools here have been shut down for a week now and will be closed for several weeks to come. The governor here said they may even have to stay closed for the rest of the 2019-20 school year. So I guess whether you just make the cheapest purchase available or not is up to each person and your personal situation. I think s lot of people are out of work in my area as there is a stay at home government order in effect. Going to get food is one of the few exceptions on if you may leave your house.

If that order is over $10 (with or without the freebies), Burger King will set you up with free delivery as well.

I saw this posted on another board:

I paid 25 cents for a tomato slice on the burger plus 2 cents tax. Nothing else.

Here’s a good ‘bang’ for your money to get a lot of food, some free skim milk to put in your frig, etc.

    1. add two kids meals to your cart, (choice of burger, cheeseburger, 4 or 8 piece nuggets), free to add onion on burgers, tomato 15c.

1a) if you don’t want the soda or ‘box juice’ you can choose milk which come in closed sealed bottles of 8oz each. excellent for use in coffee, cereal, etc if you want to just stick them in the fridge.

    1. go to ‘chicken’ menu area, look for the NUGGETS COMBO MEAL which is like $4.xx, click ala carte and choose 10 piece nuggets for $1.49

pay $1.49 + tax with 2 free kids meals offer.

@MrVietnam 's deal is good too, but this way you get a nice amount of food, for $1.25 more than an ‘extra’ tomato.

Don’t forget to ask for the dipping sauces for the chix nuggets!

YMMV on all areas having $1.49 for 10 nuggets deal on the app (not a coupon offer, will stack with free kids meals deal)

Don’t forget the $5 back on take out food NBPR rebate from @briarycliffs
25 (!) years ago McDonald’s gave out mini beanie babies with kids meals.
I used to get the kids chicken nugget meal with milk. Gave the fries to someone in line and put 2 sets of nuggets together for me. Used the cartons of milk in my coffee.

  • Surprised to see that this is available multiple times; I used it yesterday and now I see it’s back in the app again. Daily offer?

Yes, it is available daily through 4/6, as I said in my post 6 days ago. I’ve taken advantage of the offer 3 days in a row now.

I did this once a few days ago and it was OK. There was a lot of food, but I can’t say it was that good. It may have something to do with the fact that it was cold by the time we got home. Had to go back because they forgot the taco (which apparently they haven’t had in 3 months, but is somehow still orderable), and they gave me fries instead of onion rings (and they had the gall to ask for the fries back, I ended up keeping them in the end since I know they are not allowed to resell them).

The first time I ordered, somehow the kid’s meals didn’t end up on my order. The second time I was able to do it, but you have to add an item first. Even if it lets you go through the selection process once you try to add it to the cart, it will fail and you have to start from the beginning.

The burger king itself was empty, and only the drive-through was open. I think we went at a bad time and ended up behind 3 cars at the drive-through, I think the rest of the day they were pretty much empty.

all BK’s in my area are Drive thru only. the dining rooms/take out to come inside isn’t even an option.

Better yet, you can get an 8 piece nuggets a la carte for only $1, which is a better deal than getting 10 for $1.50. As a reminder, the last day for this generous deal is on next Monday, April 6th.

Today is only April 4th and this offer was supposed to run through April 6th, but I don’t see it on the.BK app anymore. I guess they ended it a few days early.

  • @mrvietnam
Me too, missed the past 3 days, was planning on getting today and tomorrow but it’s gone.
    Oh well
