I have a cheap smart phone that I use for iBotta but it doesn’t have phone service so it can’t text.

I use Tello and it only costs me $5 a month for 500 mb of data and unlimited texts. Let me know if you are interested and I will provide you a referral code. It’s nice not to always hope where I go has free wi-fi. It’s not much data, but coupled with free wi-fi at some stores it is enough for my purposes.

@mrvietnam Thanks. I have a TracFone Moto e5 that I haven’t activated. I think it came with 1000 min of text. I’m afraid of it… I’ve probably had it for more than a year and haven’t activated it. Sounds silly I know but just thinking about dealing with it raises my anxiety level.

Have you tried to use google voice on it? coupon.com doesn’t allow google voice # though, I tried.
edit: Google voice worked. So, you don’t even need a separate phone for this. Just install google voice via app or any browser.

Same here. Put it in when I got back from store about 4pm yesterday, got an email and text at 2am that it was approved and in my acct.
Bought the variety 12 pk…Unfortunately Walmart was out of bottled so settled for canned.
