Presumably 12:00 PM is midnight when the day changes from 12/16 to 12/17, right? I’m never quite sure whether someone is referring to midnight or noon when they say “12:00 PM” as I think of 12:00 AM as being midnight and 12:00 PM as being noon.
-
Philly is on sale starting tomorrow and I was thinking about making a cheesecake! If I can get $20 for it then I will definitely make it. My recipe calls for 5 packages of cream cheese, whole cream and sour cream. It’s a heart attack on a plate and so good.

I think it’s noon.

Ms SOZ made her soon to be famous PUMPKIN CHEESECAKE for Thanksgiving. (froze half and ate it again last week)
The gingersnap crust beats the alternatives we’ve tried.
-
Just realized it says from store or restaurant. Anyone that doesn’t cook could get some fresh made pies or cakes(or doughnuts for breakfast) from the bakery

Servers must be overloaded. I’m unable to sign up.
“403 ERROR

“403 ERROR

ETA: This reminds me of trying for the free Crocs 😁
-
Yep, reminds me of Quikly contests. Gone in milliseconds. 🙄🤪
-
Tried it on Edge, Chrome, Firefox. Same 403 error each time. I suspect the entry form was incorrectly coded.
-
I will try again tomorrow but I’m thinking we might up with a $-off coupon instead.
Just got a 400 error. Maybe that’s progress?
Now the site is down.
-
Website slammed… when will they learn? Thanks OP, I tried.
-
I was just able to get to a confirmation of name & address then it died after I clicked Submit. I wonder if it went through.
-
Same as everyone else. 403, 400 and now 504 errors on three different browsers. And now service unavailable.
-
Mine finally went through.
-
I just got: An entry with your information has already been submitted. This offer is limited to one per household.
Maybe one got through.
-
Site loads, but… “ALL RESERVATIONS HAVE BEEN CLAIMED FOR TODAY. COME BACK TOMORROW AT 12PM EST TO TRY FOR A RESERVATION AGAIN WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!” 🥴
-
Tried twice at high noon EST. Got “overloaded server” notice. Deal gods gave me $5 Marie Callender’s Key Lime Pie as a consolation prize. BTW we have an ocean of cream cheese in our vortex of retail. And we never buy Philly.
-
I tried 9am (live in California) and just now. They say try tomorrow.
sonofzeus, you can make a cheesecake, as long as its not Philly Cream cheese! LOL
-
Bump. T minus 30 minutes…
-
T minus 8 minutes…
-
I got the sign up page and entered my information, but as soon as I pressed SUBMIT I got this:
The service is unavailable.
-
Now I get this:
502
Bad Gateway
The server did not receive a valid response from origin.
-
Yep. What a cluster****.
-
site got slammed
-
This poorly ran campaign doesn’t make me feel too good about Philadelphia Cream Cheese. This may backfire on them and have the opposite outcome they were looking for…
I wonder how fast all 18,000 rebates will get claimed. Do you think they are all claimed right now already, 10 minutes in?
-
What a waste of time!

Just got one.
Yesterday there was a page to confirm information. When I clicked the Confirm button got a server error. When I tried again I got a duplicate entry message. So today I used a different device and email & snail mail. Got a Congratulations! No need to confirm information. So at least I have one and maybe 2.
-
One wonders how it was possible almost a half-hour in, but I seem to have gotten a spot, too.
Edit: I made a screen shot of the confirmation just in case…
-
@yoregano the weak of heart gave up.
-
Keep trying just got one @ 12:25
-
Limit: One (1) $20 digital reward (“Offer”) per person/per email address or household. Multiple

Somewhat. Still think this phase of the campaign was poorly planned for.
-
Just got one @about 12:30pm. Keep refreshing.
-
So does this mean I can buy an alternative dessert for a few dollars, submit my receipt, and get $20 back? I will be awaiting their e-mail to get further instructions.

From reading the OP it looks like you will just get reimbursed what you pay, up to $20:
Philadelphia will reimburse the cost to replace your homemade cheesecake up to $20 when you make a
limited reservation and show us your store or restaurant receipt. It includes restaurants so you could make it easy and buy $20 of desserts at a restaurant for free after rebate.
-
Much easier to get in now> I just clicked on the link 3 times and it went to the sign-up page each time.
-
@mrvietnam you will get what you pay for the dessert up to $20.
Cream cheese & cream won’t cost me $20 so I will add other “ingredients” to my transaction like 5 lb. bags of sugar & flour, lemon, bottles of vanilla & almond extract, etc.

Interesting plan. Hope it works out for you.
I plan on making it easy and probably going to a restaurant.
-
My brother from Texas is over visiting for Christmas. He also got the deal and signed up using his own name, e-mail, home address, etc. I hope they do not track you by using the same Internet connection, like some rebate companies like to do. He is his own household, but just happened to me here visiting.
-
@mrvietnam If you buy a dessert to bring home from the restaurant it will work but not if you eat the dessert at the restaurant. Your plan is easy but I end up with free groceries.
I was planning to buy Philly this week because it’s on sale. I was planning to make a cheesecake with it so I’m very happy. I make Belgian waffles every week and Angel food cake about once a month. I can use flour, sugar and extracts.

Yes, that’s true. I may reconsider and do like you. I will have to mull it over and see if I feel like cooking. I guess you don’t even have to cook it, you just buy the ingredients. They probably would never know if you actually made the dessert or not, right?

JUST DIED:
Sorry, all rewards have been claimed.
We hope you spread the feeling this holiday season. Happy holidays from Philadelphia!
-
@mrvietnam my recipe calls for 5 cream cheese @$2.50 ea. and heavy cream $1.50. I have all the other ingredients on hand (Flour, sugar, vanilla, eggs, etc.)
Flour is $2.50 for 5 lbs. Sugar is $3 for 4 lbs. I will replenish what I use and then some.
