Good to know you got the same on your receipt. Thanks!

I recycled a UPS and didn’t receive the $10/$30 q on my receipt. Checked the receipt and it said Battery Recycling. I had the cashier ring it up again as Other Technology. Got the $10/$30 but more importantly I knew I’d get the $5 for recycling whereas I might have had to argue for Battery Recycling.

Lithium Ion Batteries/rechargables, etc are on the list at the link for the recycle $$.
Had an old cell phone from 13 years ago in the drawer. Took the battery out of it, recycled that today, will recycle the phone next month so I get two rewards from the phone versus one if I turned it in with the battery inside.

@mistercheap But will the SKU for BATTERY RECYCLE generate Rewards? Did your receipt say BATTERY RECYCLE or OTHER TECHNOLOGY? I didn’t want to take the chance so I had it re-rung as OTHER TECHNOLOGY.
You could piece out an old PC. I pulled the hard drive from one. It also has an external wireless card which I can recycle separately. Today I recycled a fax machine that had been in my attic.

I guess when it was only $5 I got lazy and didn’t mess w/it, but now that I know it’s so easy to bring in nonsense (cables for instance) and I’m recycling ink anyway, easy money. Wonder if the $10 offer will be repeated?

Today when I recycled I received both a $10/$30 and a $10/$20.
I got 2 Charmin 18/72 @ $18.99 ($19.99 at Target so not over priced).
$37.98 - $10/$30 -$20 Rewards - 2@$1/1 Charmin mq.
$5.98+tax so $3.17 eachThen did it again to use the $10/$20.
3@$18.99=$56.97-$10/$20-$40 ink Rewards-3@$1/1 mq.
$3.97+tax so ~$1.39 eachResell for $15 ea.

Lucky! I got a $10/50 he rang both up on the same receipt, have to remember to get sep. transactions like you did next time.

@mistercheap You haven’t been doing the $5/month? That would have been a free case of water a month! Every Tech Recycle has generated a $10/$30 valid only that day so I planned accordingly. Recycled to receive the $10/$30 then shopped. The $10/$20 was the surprise. It was valid until the end of the month but the Charmin q’s were expiring so I did the 2nd transaction.

I got a $10 off $30 for returning an item to Amazon. Didn’t expect it.
So the tech recycling is ongoing all the time, not just January?
-
@zennuts Its been going on since October (?) but only $5 until this month.
-
Today’s the last day. Even though not on the qualifying list, I recycled an old memory stick that I got for free from Bank of America years ago (it even had the B of A logo on it) and the cashier accepted it without issue.
On my receipt it says “Other Technology R*.”
The item number is 690307.I got a $10 off $30 coupon that printed, but since it expires today I won’t be using it.

That’s groovy as I have one more of those free drives from Bank of America and would be more than willing to recycle it next month.

When you check the receipt after you use it, these things don’t expire until 12/31/23. So YMMV on cashier taking it, but they don’t actually expire.
Also in the connect app they had a coupon for free shredding this week, I did the shredding on one account, not to waste an item for recyling. Not sure if it worked, but no $10 off $30 printed for shredding. Guess I’ll find out next month if there is a $10 reward.

@dangeruss I’d be delighted to send you a bunch of NIB Belkin cables to recycle if you really need items to recycle.

Thanks, I have enough stuff for now, but if this is going to become and on-going thing with staples eventually I’m going to start running low.
