Is there anything really worth spending $10 on at Hallmark? For occasions where I feel obligated to buy a greeting card of some kind, I get them 2/$1 at Dollar Tree.

Actually, Hallmark has a decent selection of $1/$2/$3 cards at Gold Crown in addition to the more elegant pricey cards. So with the $5 back in Swag, the $2 cards (say 5 of them for $5) are worth it.
Some of the Dollar Tree cards looks cheap and flimsy and selections can be boring, nothing wrong with them 75% of the time, but depending on the person or the ocassion, sometimes I’ll spring for a nicer or much funnier card than what you can find at Dollar Tree (ie, Milestone Birthday, Wedding/Engagement, Sympathy card for someone you’re really close with, etc).

Oh, the cards at dollar stores are cheap in all ways for sure. But so am I.
But is any non-card stuff at Hallmark worth any trouble or is it all overpriced trinkets? Haven’t been to one in a few years.

You’re right. People notice when you send more pricey, quality cards and when you can get them at half price that is a good deal in my book. Maybe it’s only me, but when I get a greeting card I have a habit of turning it over to see how much the giver spend on the card and if ti’s a Hallmark. With that said, I really don’t give/send to many cards, but when I do I like to buy something nice than what Dollar Tree has to offer.

Their after holiday clearance deals can be decent. They had a lot of nice Xmas stuff 75% off when I last did this deal prior to Valentine’s Day (in January I think)
