FWIW, a race schedule shows in the offer in the app, and not all the dates shown above appear in that schedule. The app terms even say the promo doesn’t start until 2/15. So ymmv perhaps on eligible dates.

If I receive this discount at my Shell, I will report.
Edit: Received the Race Day discount! Pump price 87 octane: $2.58/gal. Glad I brought the 6 gallon gas can.

I’m supremely annoyed. I’ve activated the offer, the check mark shows it is activated in the app, I even got a notification saying the offer is active, but I went to two different stations today, and the extra 22¢ off simply would not apply when attempting a purchase, just the standard 3¢. I tried both paying through the app as well as entering my phone number on the pump, same result.
Guess I have to call Fuel Rewards and give them a piece of my mind.
Update: at least a couple other people at SlickDeals are also saying they don’t see the offer showing as active.
@sonofzeus You said it worked for you. So your app showed the whole 22-cent discount upfront when you attempted payment?

@yoregano Activated in-app. Entered alt-id at the pump. Promo discount was acknowledged. Swiped the 15% off Shell giftcard. Filled Ms SOZ’s tank and my gas can.

So after some sleuthing, according to this post, the offer does in fact NOT show upfront as being applied when using the app nor at initial entering of phone/alt ID at the pump, but only after swiping/tapping a payment (or confirming payment in the app).

So a great big pfft to Shell for not explicitly stating that their app/system is stupid and that the offer does work, you just won’t see it until after the fact. I guess I’ll try again next Sunday when the next round becomes active.

@yoregano I have the same experience with the Tmobile discount. It’s so confusing to not see the actual price until you put in a credit card.

Confirming my previous comment, this worked for me today. Enter phone/alt ID at the pump, swipe/tap payment card, and THEN that is when the correct discount shows on the pump.
Now, my local Shell station’s regular price was 14 cents per gallon higher than a nearby competitor, so it didn’t quite feel like getting the total 25-cent discount at Shell, but that is another matter.

If I’m remembering correctly, you activate in the Shell app.
Yes it shows up on the pump, but only after inserting you CC.
Was out today and taking a trip this weekend so filled up. Paid $2.319/gal.

This is what I see in the Shell app. It’s under Personal offers. Looks like you just activate once since it says my offer is still active and I’ve used it one.

Finally able to get the app to work. I suspect the servers were having issues when I tried to sync it w/SR 2 weeks ago. I had an old unused SR account from 10 years ago and it was still there.
Was able to enter a prepaid Visa gc when app wanted a form of payment. (5% back Chase Ink from Staples). I didn’t want to list a real cc. The VC will be empty but the system requirement was satisfied.
The pump showed the price with discounts applied: $0.42/gallon.
Paid with a Shell gc I’d gotten by cashing out BC at RA.
Staples also sells Shell gc.
Shell gc work fine at the pump; no need to go into the store as needed for VIsa or MC gc.

I have been buying Shell gift cards at Marianos at 10% discount with Chase and Wells Fargo Offers. I have done 15% discount at Kohls. I get about 2% for the spend and the standard 3 cents off per gallon from Shell stacks.

Gas has gone from $2.99 to $3.46/gallon at Shell. Two weeks ago I paid $2.49/gallon after Race Day and SR discount.

Yeah, I assume so, but the BoA are based on Upside and they say they will reduce your cash back by 5 cents/gal if you use another discount so I assume they might be able to see the details of the transaction. But even if they do that, it’s still a solid deal. $0.22 with Nascar deal. $0.24 with BoA, so instead of $0.46, it might be $0.41. Of course the Shell wasn’t the cheapest in the area, but even just the Nascar deal made it cheaper.

It doesn’t matter how many times I click OPT IN, even after restarting the app and logging in & out of the app, I always get the error message

I was able to save the promo on a 2025 iPhone for one Shell account, but have had no success saving the promo on a 2025 android phone for another Shell account, despite trying everything but deleting the app that I * just * installed, @yoregano…
I tried activating the promo via the iPhone, thinking that maybe the android was at fault, but I didn’t have access to the email account to get the verification code, so, that was a dead end…
Didn’t try contacting support yet…last ditch resort…
