Are the activation fees the same for visa and MC?

Activation fees for $200 are $6.95, $5.95 for $100. So $13.90 in fees to get to $300.
Fees are the same for Visa and MC.

Bummer. Staples gc for rebate for Visa prepaid. That’s new.
Many of us get $400 in prepaids because of 5% cc bonus for $1 difference in activation fee.
Activation fee for $300 = $12.90 for $15 cc bonus vs. $13.90 for $20 cc bonus

Rewards are considered a coupon.
Can’t use coupons on gift cards including the activation fee.
You’ll have better luck trying a Staples gc than Rewards.

@crabbing if you’re referring to the $15 Visa debit card they sent the last time, answer is YES.
my go to Staples accept Staples GC as partial payment for GCs. Highly YMMV so best way to find out is to try it at your Staples.
