"Due to volume – effective 8/11 we have temporarily suspended online account applications. All applications submitted prior to 8/11 will be processed normally, but may experience some delays. The system will be back up shortly. We apologize for any inconvenience."I just got an email today saying thanks for opening an account. I guess I’m in after applying a week ago. Wonder if the hassle was worth it when another bank offers 2.75% next week.

Don’t get too excited. When I applied, their identity verification denied me and they wouldn’t open an account manually.

I opened an account, but the issue I have now is they only allow one (1) external bank link, so I have a funding issue.

Online application is screwed up. Declined me because, For the identity verification questions, applicants must correctly answer at least 4 out of 5 questions. But it never showed me any questions to answer.
-
@intel Sometimes banks only offer online accounts to out-of-state depositors
I guess they can pay their in-state customers much lower rates.

So this is actually Central Bank of Kansas City? What is SkyOne in this mix? Is the account insured by FDIC or NCUA as on the SkyOne website?

It appears your funds are deposited at SkyOne Federal Credit Union, NCUA insured.
Central Bank of Kansas City acts as Custodian Bank on behalf of SaveBetter
to move you funds in/out of the several banks and credit unions they sponsor.

One thing not mentioned before with SaveBetter is you can only initiate ACH transfers, in or out, through SaveBetter, not through your external account. SaveBetter wouldn’t even tell me my account number or routing number. And you can only have ONE external account so be sure the one you use initially to transfer money is the one you always want to use as it can’t be changed for 60 days. On the plus side, they said there is no dollar maximum that can be transferred daily or monthly.
