@goldsheet I am actually transferring my social security dd to SoFi but meanwhile i did set up the Astra app on my phone like you… to try it for this month…
Two questions for you: From the day you initiate the transfer from another bank to SoFi…how many days to get there?
When it posts at SoFi what does it say? Does it post as Direct Deposit?
Thanks
-
@craig10x Astra is slow
Scheduled on May 18, showed up on May 24 as follows
"May 24 Astra Inc. Direct Deposit $25.00"
and my SoFi rate immediately went to 1.25%Update: did another transaction on the 23rd that showed up on the 26th.
The 6-day transaction above included a weekend where the 3-day transaction was on weekdays.
Really shouldn’t make a difference but it’s a plausible explanation ?
-
Thanks…sounds like without an interruption (ex: holiday, weekends) then it is 3 days from when you set it up…not too bad…
And i see it does say Direct Deposit…Did it work for you this month (June) as well?
-
And i see it does say Direct Deposit…Did it work for you this month (June) as well?
My June transfer was scheduled for the 15th.
I moved it to Monday the 13th so we can see what happens next week !
-
@goldsheet Very good…let me know…i have a friend who has SoFi but doesn’t have a direct deposit to move there and he was curious to know if it is consistent…

@atikovi This just happened to me too after completing their online application. I have never been rejected from any other bank when applying online and wondering what happened?! I will call them tomorrow since it is the weekend. Did you ever find out why you got this code message?
-
@goldsheet I just joined Consumers Credit Union for the account they have that is earning 1.5% but they limit a deposit to $1000/mo. That kind of sucks.

In that link, all I could find was a 0.81% checking account and to sign up to be put on a wait list to join.

@atikovi effective 6/16 might not be active yet ?
I have been a member since January was not aware there’s a wait list again.

PurePoint savings which has one of the best ACH speeds and limits and which HAD one of the highest rates, has been stuck at 0.40% for over a year. Why haven’t THEY gone up?
-
@atikovi This may be the issue “PurePoint Financial is a division of MUFG Union Bank, N.A.”
“MUFG Union Bank, d.b.a. as UnionBank, is wholly owned by MUFG pending regulatory approval to complete the sale to U.S. Bancorp”
"it now anticipates the bank’s sale to U.S. Bancorp will be completed in the second half of 2022."
U.S. Bancorp will probably close Purepoint, in my opinion.
