The Fine Print
Offer valid for in-store and online eligible purchases at U.S. Supermarkets. An “eligible purchase” means a purchase made with your enrolled Card at a U.S. supermarket location by 8/31/2020.
“Supermarket” means a standalone merchant in the U.S. primarily selling supermarket products.

Specialty Food Stores, Superstores, and Warehouse Clubs are not considered Supermarket stores. This offer is showing on some cards. Interestingly, some are seeing this on some points-earning cards as well.
Max this out with $200 in purchases. $10 isn’t much, but for me it’s literally free money as I found this on my Blue Cash Preferred which I use at the grocery anyway. Nice that it works for online supermarkets as well.

True, not the best offer, but still a good offer, when taken alone, However, if you already have the Am Ex Blue Cash Preferred Card and you get the offer on that one (as I did) it is like getting $10 of free money because I use that card on all my grocery purchases anyway as it gives me 6% cash back. So for the next $200 in groceries, when stacking these 2 offers, I will be getting a very much appreciated 11% cash back.

Is ordering through supermarket website for delivery by Instacart eligible for the 5%?

Got it in my acc. Thank you! I doubt will spend $200 by Aug but plan to buy GCs in the stores.

Amex cracks me up, they will remove the Bluecash (3% or 6%) earned from the $10 statement… -$0.30 -$0.60 LOL!!! So you’ll really get 10.7% on $200 spent on Bluecash preferred.
