I’ve seen several of the ones listed, some are pretty old movies, and others you’d have to tie me to a chair and prop my eyes open to force me to watch them. Super 8 is a good one that I would watch again though.
-
I just watched Spider-Man 3 with my two boys, so I only need 2 1/2 hours until I reached the five hours for this month.
What I was thinking is that you really don’t need to watch any of these movies if you don’t want to. You could just leave them going in the middle of the night, turn the volume off, and go to bed. It would still count as being watched all the same.
-
@mrvietnam Since I’ve already seen all the ones that qualify, I just let the movies run on my Kindle while muted.

For those who have enrolled and finished watching the required 5 hours of content, how long is it before you get your promo codes e-mail from Amazon? I finished watching my 5 hours about 5 hours ago, but have yet to receive any e-mail from Amazon. I’m in no hurry to get the credits, but I was just wondering how long it usually takes.
-
How do you know what to watch? Does there have to be a Cheezeit sign, right by the program?
Thank you…Marv

I finished watching my 5 hours just now and will report back as to when/if I receive an email confirming my $5 & $5.
Note that the terms of the offer say that future months’ credits stack, so you can save us your Cheez It credits and eventually get something for free or close to it. YMMV naturally.

@MrVietnam I’m wondering if they issue the credits at the end of each viewing month as opposed to instantly? The T&C doesn’t give any info regarding how long it takes to show up.

Don’t forget the all inclusive language “while supplies last.”

I’ve also finished my watching by at least 36 hours at this point. No communication or confirmation. Time will tell. I hope.

I am at two days with no communication. It could be as MC suggested that they may issue the credits at the end of the month and credit everyone at one time. One way they could improve this promotion is by having a real time way to check how long you have watched towards the promo and how long you have left.

I took a look at that other deal board and a few people within the last half hour have posted that they have received an e-mail with their Cheez-It credit, but it makes no mention of the Prime Video credit.
The credit reward email will be titled: Congratulations your reward is here!
Thank you for participating in the Cheez-It Streaming challenge. You have received a $5 credit towards Cheez-It products and $5 Prime Video credit.
Reward Expiration: January 31, 2021 8:00:00 AM UTC

I called Amazon and they said they did not know anything about it.
I also called Cheeze-it and received the same answer.
Anyone know what is true?
-
According to a poster on SD: They are officially out of Prime Video credits for this month. The associate that I asked could not see how many Prime Video credits would be available each month.
So I guess next month you will have to start streaming at 12:01 am on September 1st and stream 5 hours in a row. LOL

I just chatted with Amazon customer service and he asked me how I found out about the promotion. I said in an e-mail from Cheez-Its (not really, but I had to say something) and then he asked me to send him the e-mail. He said, "I’m really sorry any promotional from Amazon to you will be notified to you by the Email from us " He is leaving the chat window open for 24 hours for me to send him the e-mail from Cheez-Its. Is this promo advertised anywhere besides deal boards?

I have the Kellogg’s email if it will help you. It’s personalized (has my name in it) but if there’s a way to get it to you I could do that.

Thanks for the offer, but I will not need it after all. I referred to this article and that was good enough to get a $5 credit manually issued. The bonus for the manual credit is it can be used on anything, not just Prime Video content. They did ask me what movies I streamed for the offer, so it is a good thing I remembered, even though one of them was just a random movie on the list that I didn’t watch but streamed overnight.
Lesson learned: Next month I need to start streaming on September 1st at 12:01 am., so I can be one of the first 1,000 people.
I think this deal can safely be marked “DEAD”, until 9/1 at least.

@MrVietnam
Glad it worked out for you. I hadn’t even started yet because I had no idea it was going to run out so fast, despite the language. Lesson learned for next month, like you said.

“…(but I had to say something”… Maybe the truth? I don’t understand people’s willingness to lie for a coupon for bad crackers
and a few dollars off at Amazon.

I got the Cheetos credit a day after completing 5 hours. Yeah, we’ll see about ever getting the video credit if only 1,000 per month are available.

That’s strange. I wonder why I didn’t get either credit and I watched 3 full movies that totaled over 5 hours. Did you click on ENROLL NOW once or before each movie you watched?
-
I clicked the enroll button to initially sign up. Then added movies to my watchlist. Watched 5+ hours. Then today I got the email about the Cheez-its credit as mentioned above. Perhaps click the link in the fist post again and verify if it shows that your Amazon account is logged in below the enroll button.
-
I just got an email with the $5 Cheeto credit. No $5 Amazon Prime credit though.

Yes, it shows I am logged in. Strange I would not at least get the CheezIts promo code. I am watching another movie now to see if that makes any difference.

Out of the blue today I received a $5 Cheez-It credit from Amazon, a full week after I completed my 5 hours of viewing. Even though the e-mail didn’t mention it I also got the $5 Amazon Video credit. I checked my balances by using a post AngryEyebrows posted earlier in the thread. So it looks like I double dipped on the $5 Amazon credit as earlier I called customer service and he manually gave me the $5 credit, too. Now I know for next month, it can take up to a week to get the credits. So for those who think they just got the Cheez-It credit only, click on REDEEM NOW from the link in the Congratulations e-mail and then go to the link AngryEyebrows posted and you might just see your video credit listed there.
Thank you for participating in the Cheez-It Streaming challenge. You have received a $5 credit towards Cheez-It products. Click the button below to redeem your reward and follow the instructions on how to use your reward. Reward Expiration: January 31, 2021 8:00:00 AM UTC

Kewl. It didn’t even occur to me to check, but I got the Amazon digital credit too.
-
I checked through the Cheez-It “Redeem Reward” link but did not get the $5 Amazon video credit. YMMV and hopefully it will in this case.
-
Reminder, the next round begins next Tuesday.
-
Giiiiiiiddy up.

8 hours this month.
-
DRAT! I overslept. I didn’t start streaming until 4 am PT. It may be too late, but I will just continue to let it play in the background for the 8 hours and hope for a miracle.

I didn’t complete the minimum hours for August until a few days in, and still got both credits. We’ll see what happens this month.

Anyone get any messaging about completing the September offer? Mine was complete as of last evening - nothing so far.

Nothing here either. I finished my 8 hours yesterday afternoon. HOWEVER, this morning I ordered a box of Cheezits and not only did my $5 Cheezit credit from last month come off, I also got a $5 Amazon credit and I am not sure if that was from last month or this month.
-
@mrvietnam My $5 Amazon credit took ages to show up last month. IIRC it was around August 15 when I noticed I had this weird $5 credit and realized what it was.
-
Just got an e-mail from Amazon with both credits:
Congratulations your reward is here!
You have received a $5 credit towards Cheez-It products and $5 Prime Video credit.
-
@mrvietnam I literally just got mine too. Guessing we’ll see a bunch of these now.
-
I’m wondering if I got hosed this month. I also finished my 8 hours Wed afternoon, but I haven’t yet received a “congrats” email. I went back to the sign-up link and the enrollment button said “enroll now,” not “your enrolled for September.” I know for certain that I had enrolled before starting videos. I clicked the button, and then it changed to “you’re enrolled.” But now every time I go back to the enrollment page, the button says “enroll now” and not “you’re enrolled.” So, I guess I wait a while longer and wee what happens.

Every time I watched a movie I clicked on the “enroll now” button. What they should do is when you click on it the first time it should say you are enrolled whenever you go back to click a second or third time, but for me it didn’t, so I clicked on it before I watched each movie. I hope you didn’t get hosed, but if you live in my parts maybe you would have enjoyed a good hosing as it is going to get up to 110 degrees here this weekend.

Interesting. I’m sure that for last month, once you clicked the enroll button, it remained that way after one click. Perhaps it’s a glitch this month.
