I bought the Gerber products, had the receipt ready to post on April 30…and could not find the offer again. I searched and searched and searched. I know there was an offer the expired April 30, same as the one on MyPoints, but I could not find it again on SB. The only in-store shopping offers I have now are for the Scrubbing Bubbles Gel at Walmart and the Mama’s Biscuits at Sam’s Club.

There were two that sounded good - Never Stop Walking and The Speed of Sound. Usually none sound worth reading to me, so I was surprised to be tempted by two this time around. I chose Never Stop Walking.

Read the Reverse Mortgage paperwork. There are NO payments due, ever, period. That’s the purpose of an RM. Once the mortgage company gets their pound of flesh via the upfront fees and charges (taken out of the money due the elderly person or persons), all that happens is interest accumulates…and accumulates…and accumulates. When the last person on the RM dies, the heirs have a choice of paying off the balance due on the RM OR letting the mortgage company have it. Period. I would not call it “foreclosure” since NO money is owed by anyone living or by the estate. Given the circumstances, go with 2 and just get it done. (I’ve conducted a fair amount of RMs over many years as a Mobile Notary Public working for title companies, so I am familiar with the wording and terms on typical paperwork for these.) I can’t think of any “risk” unless the heirs take out fixtures that are part of the real property (no removing the furnace or central H&A, for example) or they damage the property in the course of removing the personal property. Make sure you clarify with the mortgage company the status of the property insurance and responsibility for securing the property and protecting it during the transition and also access for the heirs to remove said personal property.

I tried last year to find a way to pay ahead of expiration date for another year of Prime to take advantage of a discount price then. And I couldn’t. Does anyone know how to pay the $99 now to add on another year even though the subscription has several months before the renewal date?

Online price is $44.99, unfortunately. And the nearest B&M store is over 80 miles away.

Glad I hung onto some 12 pack codes instead of simply entering them for other promotions.

Do you all feel this is as good as it’s going to get? I rarely get 12-pack codes, so I’ve been hanging onto the 3 I have in hopes of some really good offer. This may be the best they’ll have though. What do the rest of you think?

Forget that!!! I managed to find how to activate FandangoNow, thanks to your link VegasVegan, but when I activated it…the #@%%D^WD%#$%% deactivated my AmazonPrime! When I tried to go back to AmazonPrime, there was a message wanting me to enter my login and pwd to activate AmazonPrime again, but no way to enter it on either the Samsung controller or the AmazonPrime controller. So I unplugged the AmazonPrime stick, waited a minute, plugged it back in…and AmazonPrime is fine again. If that’s what I’d have to do every time to be able to watch a movie on FandangoNow, I’ll just skip it. Thanks much for the advice. Now I know. Crud, now I’m back with AmazonPrime, sound but no video. This is nuts. Update - had to restart the AmazonPrime stick to get the video back. Hope the rest of you enjoy FandangoNow. I’ll pass.

How do you watch these on your TV? We have a Samsung 55" SmartTV, using Amazon Prime TV plus an outside antenna to watch the local PBS station. As I recall, we have a Fandango account but don’t use it except to check what’s playing at the local theater complex. I think I set it up back when Coke was offering a free movie through Fandango, or some company was. Too long ago to remember the details. Anyway, would I go through my Amazon Prime TV to access the Fandango site and choose the movie, or what? Color me clueless.

My DH (Dear Husband) wears these all the time around the house on cool and cold evenings. Great to relax in, and most of his are the Craft & Barrow brand from Kohls. They wash and dry without shrinking, and are durable. They’re now $5.39 though, and the plaid is ugly but if no one but you and your closest loved one is going to see them, who cares. You’re warm and comfortable, that’s what counts.

The Based On A True Crime sticker would have been fun, but I don’t expect these offers to last very long, and a lot of times the companies don’t expect such a large response, so I’m not surprised when sometimes I’m too late to get whatever it is.
