Still a few that charge for ACH, often inbound free, outbound for a fee.
Salem Five did this a long time ago.
I had an account (First Citizens) I wanted to close, but outbound
ACH was $1.50, so I just used free billpay to zero out the account.https://www.mybanktracker.com/checking/faq/ach-transfer-fees-290332

@atikovi This may be the issue “PurePoint Financial is a division of MUFG Union Bank, N.A.”
“MUFG Union Bank, d.b.a. as UnionBank, is wholly owned by MUFG pending regulatory approval to complete the sale to U.S. Bancorp”
"it now anticipates the bank’s sale to U.S. Bancorp will be completed in the second half of 2022."
U.S. Bancorp will probably close Purepoint, in my opinion. -

And i see it does say Direct Deposit…Did it work for you this month (June) as well?
My June transfer was scheduled for the 15th.
I moved it to Monday the 13th so we can see what happens next week ! -
RE: Best Nationally Available High APY Liquid Accountsposted in Finance
@craig10x Astra is slow
Scheduled on May 18, showed up on May 24 as follows
"May 24 Astra Inc. Direct Deposit $25.00"
and my SoFi rate immediately went to 1.25%Update: did another transaction on the 23rd that showed up on the 26th.
The 6-day transaction above included a weekend where the 3-day transaction was on weekdays.
Really shouldn’t make a difference but it’s a plausible explanation ? -

@craig10x I can only base my opinion on personal experience. Easy to link my accounts with Plaid.
Did two test transactions from two accounts that work perfectly.Set up my automated routine early in the month so if in the event it fails I have time to do a manual push.
There’s plenty of other accounts that are pushing 1.25% without jumping through hoops, so I do understand your point.
If I didn’t already have SoFi I would, as a new customer, use Astra to push $5,000 in the get the $300 funding bonus.
Definitely making more money from bank, credit card, and brokerage bonuses than from these tepid interest rates.
Collected $10,000 last year and I’m on track to do the same this year.
