RE: Staples - New Offer STARTS AGAIN 1/5 to 2/1 Recycle 10 ink carts at store get $25 in rewards make sure offer is activated
@ohsheet I recycle 40 in one shot (10 bonus + 30 regular). “My store” doesn’t say anything but I’ve been told only 20 at other stores. I educate them. One can recycle as many as one wants but will only receive Rewards for some of them. Then I show them my offers on the website.
I can’t believe that I’m paying for paper but it’s $34.99 for 10 reams today. Will use a $10/$30 to make it $24.99. Might as well start using up the Qs that expire 12-31-24.

RE: Riveting Deals: Sears online, Craftsman 120 assorted rivets, $3.92 with $0.62 SYWR points back, FSP (regular price $12.99)
OK, so here’s what I do with tool deals. e.g. •Craftsman General Purpose Riveter $5.92 w/ $0.94 SYWR points back (reg. $12.99)
Requires FreeCash/Surprise Points. Last week I had $12 in FreeCash.
I bring riveter to the register (only works on Tools and B&M). Tell the cashier I want to pay full price.
They scan item, get to screen that asks “would customer like an instant gift card?”.
Cashier enters “yes”. Price jumps to $12.99.
I pay $12 in FreeCash, 99¢ with Sears gc.
Cashier then issues gc for $7.77. $7.77 = $12.99 (regular price) - $5.92 (sale price) + 10%.
I do this A LOT. Have earned hundreds in Sears gc.
Tool Dept guys & I are now buddies. We have it down pat. I pay oop w/ my gc then hand them the gc to which they then load the new funds. For this gc net -99¢ + $7.77.
This deal is advertised but no one (except me) does it. If I’m at a different store I might have to talk a cashier through their screens. They’ve seen the screen but always hit “no” because “no one ever does it”.
Have used Sears gc to buy appliances or eg Shell gas gc at KM. Unload the tools on eBay. -

RE: $35MM Zyrtec at Rite Aid on Sat. 10-14, FnF day 30% off
@mrvietnam Oh my. Year long Allergy program started Jan. 1 2017. That’s what made all the Rhinocort deals so hot.
To sign up you can print the bar code from RA.com or get brochure in store. Have them scan it. On RA.com click Plenti w/Wellness and under that Allergy to find the bar code. I can’t believe you aren’t already signed up! I’ve earned the 2000 PP for $75 spend at least 10 times per card. The 30% off’s are single use. I received them when I made purchases, received emails with them and the stores have them to hand out.
I maxed out Zyrtec last week when there was a triple dip: spend $30 on Johnson & Johnson, earn 1000PP (Zyrtec is J&J) along with the monthly Allergy and the year long Allergy offers. Each acct earned 2000 more than the above scenario.
You are correct. The most Zyrtec I found in one store was 6 bottles of regular tabs and 4 of the gel caps. So you could do one card in a store that people didn’t hit last week. The bigger issue is that q’s might be NLA due to everyone printing them last week. I’d bought and used insert q’s that expired on Oct. 8.
I can’t promise you that you’ll earn another $7 cat but I did more than 8 times.

RE: Bought a New Windows 7 laptop.
I bought a netbook that had Linux. Being uneasy I had XPP installed instead. It was too much for the little netbook.
Wanted to go back to Linux. I’m probably one of the most unsavvy computer folks on here.
Guys on the FW Technology Forum talked me through step by step installing Easy Peasy on to a flash drive and then booting off of that.Fast forward a few years. Bought a Surface 3 Pro (clearance at Staples for $199) and it came with Windows 8.
Free update to W10. Tried it and hated it. Went back to W8.
I have very cheap but slow internet. Unable to watch videos with W10 vs. no issues with W8. -

RE: PLENTI (activation required - YMMV) Redeem $10 in points at Exxon/Mobil, get $2 points back ($10 worth of gas for $8 net)
@psxzombie If you keep redeeming the ones for points with 5+ gallon purchase they start sending 8+ gallon purchase. Enjoy them while they last.
Might be too much fuss for some but I’ve redeemed a lot of gas offers:
I would get 5.01 gallons to earn the bonus points for eg 200PP wyb 5+ gallons.
I would get 4.51 gallons to earn the bonus points for eg 10x points on gallons of gas purchase. The distinction is that the system rounds up when they’re multiplying the gallons but NOT when minimum is required to earn a bonus.
If I needed a full tank I’ve bought eg 5.01 gallons on one Plenti card and another 5.01 gallons on another Plenti card and received bonuses on both cards.

RE: Staples $10/$30 coupon for E- Recycling Nov. 12-18
@george2001 The first year they did this I got a bunch of coupons and used them. Last year I got one coupon and I don’t think I used it. I have a hard time finding stuff I want that doesn’t have a rebate or isn’t on sale.
I might end up getting more Kcups. I just updated the list in the Clearance/YMMV thread.
Lots of nice flavors now 50% off. With the coupon they’re $4 for 16-18 ct box.Hunting for my smallest USB drive. Must have a 500mb somewhere.

RE: HURRY!!!! Activate S* $10 Contour Next One meter!!! $10MM at Rite Aid!!! Exp. 12-4-17
@mrvietnam I purchased Saturday PM. Monday I received credit for other items in transaction but not the meter. emailed S*. Today received email that they didn’t know why meter hadn’t counted and they were crediting my account. Now it appears that the UPC I purchased is counting according to the app. I like to think that it was my early adoption and messaging S* that got it fixed.

RE: How to visit the U.K.?
@frett You really need to narrow down what you want to do. You can’t do it all in one trip.
I’ve done several “types” of UK trips.- London alone - usual sights and maybe a day trip
- Hotel in London but ignoring London sights and just taking day trips using terrific train system: Stonehenge, Cambridge, Bath, Stratford on Avon, Windsor, Hampton Court, etc. Spent a day in each. Rail stations are in the middle of town. No car needed. If you want guided tour TripAdvisor.com has links.
- Theatre. Stayed in London for a week and went to the theatre twice a day. Really. Unlike the U.S. where matinees are only on Weds, Sat or Sun., matinees are on different days in London. I found matinees for each day of the week then filled in evening performances.
- Landed in London then took train north to Edinburgh stopping at a few towns along the way, spending a day in those towns.
I can’t say enough about train system. I spent 4 mos traveling around Europe by train. Can’t imagine wanting to rent a car. Most locals travel by train. Its American mind-set that have to have a car because US doesn’t have the infrastructure-- and its too big.
Street corners in London have “look right” painted on the road for tourists.
Indian food in London is good and really hot. Consider having high tea instead of evening meal. Have a ploughman’s lunch in pub. Of course fish & chips if you like fish. These things are all cheap. Window shop but don’t buy at Fortnum & Mason or Harrod’s. Unless you’re staying in a B&B, make your own breakfast in your room. I travel with coffee (either a small Melitta & grounds or instant) and pick up fruit/scones at local supermarket. Shopping local is fun. To make the most of my money, I spend it on stuff that’s more important-- not breakfast & lunch. -
RE: Rite Aid Black Friday Ad Scan 2017
@mrvietnam Here’s my moose report:
Bought 4 Colgate and got limit reached. Offer is Buy 2 get 800. Enamel Health RR $4.79 in higher priced stores is better MM than Sensitive since $3.83 gold.RA coupon machine Zim’s coupon worked fine on bonus size tube but beeps on the bonus size roll on.
Supermarket manufacturer’s GE LED q beeped but was pushed through.
My store didn’t have the $6 ear buds so SM asked me how many I wanted (2) and price modded 2 $16.99 prs to 0.
Received email for 5% in PP on Macy’s purchases. I’m working on cashing out PP since I’ll be losing RA. Buying some of the FAR Macy’s stuff like glassware. The 5% back will cover the sales tax I guess.
Word on the street re: tape is that you have to buy the one with holiday stuff and not the one with school supplies.

RE: Kohl's Deals Discussion Thread: Kohl's Cash, Rewards, Promo & Mystery Codes, FAQ's
@kohlspowrshopper So I did online chat to ask, why did I receive $5 BOPUS bonus on order #2 ($60) and not for order #1 ($200+). CSR didn’t explain it but issued me 100 pts.
my4: Points? Is that Yes2You?
CSR: yes
my4: The $5 BOPUS Bonus I received could be used immediately, ie for Christmas shopping. Yes2You won’t be available until January?
CSR: yes, that is correct
my4: harrumph (I should have said ‘bah humbug’)
CSR: I’m sorry as it is system generated coupon. We don’t have option to re-issue it.
my4: why didn’t it happen when it was supposed to happen? Did I not do something? I didn’t know about it until I received for the 2nd order. Then because I received for 2nd order I wondered why not for the first order.CSR: Let me check with that and help you with that.
my4: Thanks. If I’m going to place other orders I want to do it so I get the bonus of course.
CSR: I have great news for you. I will honor you with $5 on your next online order. When you place the new order chat back with us and help them with my chat reference: 999999-9999. I will leave a clear note on this chat.
my4: And if its BOPUS I’ll also receive the $5 after I pick it up?
CSR: Yes, you will receive the $5.
my4: oh my
CSR: Thank you so much for understanding.
my4: Well, this is all more than I was expecting. Thank you very much.

RE: Expired: Rite Aid 12/3 - 12/9 (Free Bengay, J & J, Armicare cream a/ man/RA Qs/PP; 20% off RA gift cards: 1,000 PP wyb a $50 RA gift card - Limit 2)
@mrvietnam What I suggest that you do is to buy 5 $10 gc for $50. Earn 1000PP. Use each gc once and choose the option to receive the balance back as cash. (IDK if anyone else posting lives in CA where the minimum to cash out gc is $10.) Then use that cash and a little more to buy your next $50 in gc.
This one time only I wish I lived in CA.

RE: No More PLENTI POINTS at Rite Aid in 2018
New program is not as friendly as Plenti.
Wellness cash is earned in an increments of 1, 5, 10 etc and can only be used the same way
Wellness cash can be redeemed 6am next day
Wellness cash has an expiration of 60 days
Customers will not be prompted to use wellness cash but it will rather be just auto applied if they met the threshold
Customers can track wellness cash only by looking at their L2C and it will be visible there with value and exp dates
If customers have both Plenti and Wellness Cash, we will still get the prompt to use Plenti points and if you select yes, first the Wellness Cash will get auto deducted and only remaining balance can be paid using plenti points.thanks ok1234

RE: Prepayment of property taxes in 2017
@atikovi The Tax Foundation found that homeowners in these states paid the most in property taxes:
New Jersey - 2.38 percent
Illinois - 2.32 percent
New Hampshire - 2.15 percent
Connecticut - 1.98 percent
Wisconsin - 1.96 percent
Texas - 1.90 percent
Nebraska - 1.84 percent
Michigan - 1.78 percent
Vermont - 1.71 percent
Rhode Island - 1.67 percentIf your tax rate is ~2% you’ll pay $10k in property tax on a $500k home-- so half a million not a million dollar house.

RE: Kohl's Deals Discussion Thread: Kohl's Cash, Rewards, Promo & Mystery Codes, FAQ's
@kohlspowrshopper IDK what you mean by “very well”. I don’t think chatting each time to receive it is doing well. I’d like to receive it automatically! Didn’t receive it for item I picked up last night. Debating chatting again. They’ll give me another $5 Yes2You.
eta: So I decided to get the $5 BOPUS I was owed from last night’s order.
Chat was offline so I had to call. CSR said she’d give me $5KC on my next online order. Explained what had happened with Chat yesterday but over the phone they can place orders vs. Chat can’t.
So I ordered another set of invisibobbles, $7.99 RR and used 25% off code.
CSR applied $5 KC and I paid the $2xx balance w/ gc.
The order is BOPUS.
CSR said to make sure to tell the Sales Associate that email needs to have KC in it. Not sure that’s accurate. Don’t think SA controls it but I’ll mention it to him/her.Yesterday Chat told me it takes 48 hrs to receive the email w/KC. ummmm no.
Today phone rep told me it takes 24 hrs to receive the email w/ KC. ummmm no.
Both times I told them that when it worked properly that the email was waiting for me when I got home .So I have another set of Invisibobbles which isn’t the worst thing but I’m going to pick up my order later today and if there’s no $5 BOPUS bonus in the email I’ll be better prepared with a different $5 item when I call CS tomorrow.

RE: Expired: Got Plenti points (you need to monetize)? Martha Stewart Dream Science Pillow $15 Free AR, (Fri/Sat only) Macy's B&M (Limit 1)
@mistercheap The way I read it, it required going to the store. I don’t know what stock will be like so I’m thinking of ordering online for pick up then doing a return-rebuy so my purchase is done in store.
-
RE: Expired: Got Plenti points (you need to monetize)? Martha Stewart Dream Science Pillow $15 Free AR, (Fri/Sat only) Macy's B&M (Limit 1)
@mrvietnam Yes.
For those who are doing this, make sure you save the rebate form today.
Macy’s appears to update their rebate form links and it took a bit of searching to find last month’s pillow rebate form this week. -
RE: Letter from IRS and Call to Prove Identity
@richard Not what you asked but… a few years ago I received a letter from my State Tax Dept notifying me that a return had been filed in my name that they didn’t think was real. I confirmed that I hadn’t yet filed my taxes. State advised me to notify the IRS but before I had a chance to do that, the IRS notified me that a return had been filed in my name that they didn’t think was mine. Of course the false returns were looking for large refunds. This happened nationally, to thousands of folks.
So, I would just have in hand the documents they mentioned. They might want you to read a line entry from a previous return so they can confirm its really you.
When my SS# was mis-used I was in the process of re-financing. The lender wasn’t able to get a copy of my previous year’s return because of all this. So I had to call the IRS. I was on “hold” for literally an hour.
My advice for when you call them? Empty your bladder, pour yourself a cup of coffee, grab some snacks and get comfortable.

@597404 Just picked up 40 seltzer, 20 at a time and used $10/$20 email q.
Paid w/ Staples gc so not getting 5% back on Chase Ink but will get back 5% Rewards. After bottle/can deposit and Rewards probably $0.09 per 8 pack or a penny each. I drink 2-3 seltzer a day, usually Polar. -
RE: Sears online only: Get $50 cashback in points when you spend $50+ on select winter clothes. Free shipping. Now through Sat., 1/20/18
@marcopolomle This set is usually $29.99. Toss in a carpenter pencil or some hand soap. pay 98¢ oop and have a nice socket set.
I also like the set of 3 mini pliers but my store hasn’t had them for months.
Tool prices have risen significantly since they started the spend $75 get $50 back in pts on tools promo.
We’ve gotten lots of Oxo and Pyrex.
Outdoor Life clothes are nice. Nordic Track clothes are cheap but serviceable. Skip the Everlast unless you just want cheap T shirts. We prefer the heavier Champion T shirts.
Let me know what you’d like besides shoes or fashion, lol and I can help you find something. Can’t let $30 go to waste!

RE: **Resolved** "connection lost", unable to reply or create topic in Chrome
@fivetalents I had good dial up. Friend visiting from different part of the state had broadband and thought my dial up was better than her broadband. I’m sure she’s got faster internet now-- she spends money more easily than me.
I think more people would have what I have if they could but pretty sure my price is grandfathered and my service wouldn’t be available to new subscribers. Same with my $13/mo cell phone plan.
