Easiest to check is change the port on the switch, I presume more than two ports, and see what happens. Also, swap laptop and desktop ports and see if the problem follows the port or device. I presume you’ve rebooted the desktop (just in case).

Don’t be caught like I almost was…the actual discount shows later in the purchase process when it applies the $21.00 discount to the Qty 4 price. So the initial cart price is $6.99 times 4 but reduces before payment.

Presuming Windows 10 (but others may work the same, it’s been too long for me to recall), right-click on the speaker icon in the taskbar. Generally, the lower right corner of the screen. Select “Open Sound Settings” and see what it shows for “Output device”. If it doesn’t indicate something like speakers or what looks appropriate, select the drop-down box and look for something else. While there look at the Master Volume to make sure it’s turned up and not muted.

@mrsguin Not to be ungrateful but has anyone who might have requested one of these actually received anything yet? I did receive an acknowledgement email and a request to donate through their GoFundMe page. Of course, they did say they received over 250000 requests in their email.

I vaguely recall getting one packet some time ago but have no recollection from what organization.

This has been happening much of the day and the folks over at giveawayoftheday aren’t too happy.

I’m curious if “new companies are being created at nearly twice the rate this year compared to previous years” means new Corporations/Partnerships (basically formal business) or include anyone with a “side gig” type business? I also wonder if “With less people working, more people have time on their hands, which can spur creativity” it may also be more out of desperation/need. Sorry, that’s all I got but certainly will be following this thread.

Possibly a future in negotiating medical bills. I can’t recall the forum or site but have followed discussions when people asked for guidance in attempting to drop a surprise medical bill. Most centered around finding out various negotiated “amount allowed” insurance rates and starting from there over the “Amount billed” amount they received. Even offering to settle for 50% seemed to be accepted by hospitals and Doctors.

Well, I received my Your FREE MASK is Ready To Ship email today. Turns out the cheapest shipping for my free mask is $6.77 or $8.92 for Carbon Neutral (??). Since I’m now seeing excess hand sanitizer, soap, and even masks at Goodwill stores I think I’ll pass and just use what I already have. Not sure if they initially bit off more than they could chew or it was a feeble plan to promote their business but even if their hearts were in the right place it’s unfortunately “too little too late” for me.

Anytime I’ve gotten free books from tradepub I’ve always used “fake” info into the pages and pages of info they request. After a couple, I’ve simply stopped due to the hurdles required to download some free PDF file. It still might be worth it to some folks.

You might want to confirm it’s the same package as I just downloaded it for free. HOWEVER, note all caps, it appears to have in program ads, and when I opened and closed the app for the first time a browser window popped open with a game page. Not sure if users will be forced to deal with intrusive ads and pop-ups (or similar) everytime the app is used.

Mine showed up a day or so ago. A couple of an assortment with a business card with a QR code to their kickstarter link.

I can’t recall the exact make/model, but it seems the “air fryer” is Black Friday’s appliance of the year. Well, at least one of the appliances.

They are in Canada, so I feel somewhat guilty about requesting something free from the USA. Now let’s see if/when it arrives.
