@mistercheap I use 4K Video Downloader which is free. I did get VCapDL as well just as a backup. In doing some testing 4K Video Download is faster than VCapDL (at least on some Youtube videos that I tested it on.)

Just tried to use them, and both 5177 and 5173 are dead today.

Can % Back codes be used for the $50 every 180 days purchase to qualify for ink and toner recycling rewards? Or does that disqualify that purchase for the $50 minimum spend?

@sonofzeus Thanks OP! Just ordered up a tank exchange. The regular price does seem a bit high (I think I get a 15lb fill for around $15 at my local Costco), but can’t beat the promo $10 price (and they take expired tanks.)

UPDATE: Just got it delivered yesterday. Tank mfg date is 2022.

I can provide a non-simulated environment if anyone wants to try it for real. (And then come by every other week to try it again.)

Found out that Staples does not allow you now to use any unused remaining balance of your monthly Rewards. You must use up the entire amount in the transaction you are using it on, or any remaining amount is lost. They use to print up a remaining balance coupon at the end of the register receipt, but not anymore.

Turned in my recycles yesterday and a 10 off 30 printed on the receipt.

@mistercheap I was at Staples on the 16th and asked them if there were any special promotions happening for Earth Day, and they said they didn’t know of anything.

Exclusions are mostly meaningless. They all say that technology is excluded, but they still work on a lot of tech items.

BTW, someone on SD posted that the 35284 coupon may not expire until 7/2/2022.

Yes, it only comes with the Amazon App store, but can be hacked pretty easily to access Google Play.

Ahhh, in the old days, it was so, so easy and you’d even make money on the rewards with free after rebate items that you could also use a coupon on . Staples Rebates dried up about 3 years ago.

Now, I use them on household/coffee/bottled water, etc. etc when they have a sale. Or sometimes I ship stuff to family using them since I have free shipping with PLUS.

Ah the good ol’ days. Yeah, these days I mostly buy staples (har har) with my rewards bucks. So just regular consumable household stuff like toilet paper, paper towels, toothpaste, cleaners, garbage bags, etc.

Okay, so I saw that my August submission has shown up under my purchases, but it only shows the usual $2/recycle amount. When/how do the Double Recycling rewards get credited?

This seems like a scheme for Office Depot to sequester your money by offering a loss-leader. This should be like $6 retail.

Murphy’s Law: Never expect a staples cashier to understand Staples policies even if they claim to!

Double Ink Recycle means double the earn amount, not double the carts turned in.

You can recycle 20 carts and get $80 in rewards vs standard $40.

However, this program runs until 9/9 so you can turn in another 20 bet. 9/1-9/9 and get double again for Sept. But you can’t turn in another 20 in Aug and get $160 in rewards (please chk the end date, I’m typing this off memory, so don’t hold me to that Sept expiration date)

Yeah, thanks, that’s what I thought. Yeah I called another store to confirm and they didn’t even know they were doing the Double Ink recycling. Okay, will need to recycle early next month then.

@bc Yeah I was in the same boat, with a grandfathered T-Mobile pay-as-you-go. But I found myself having to buy refill cards more and more often, to the point where just talk and text was starting to cost me on the order of $15/month (and that was without any data plan.) So finally decided it wasn’t worth it and switched over.

I can never check out on these for some reason. Same deal this time. I get to the screen where it looks like you’re suppose to be choosing a payment method, and then it just skips past that and then gives me an error message saying I can’t complete the purchase.

If you spend > $75 on ink this week you’ll earn 25% back in Rewards instead of the usual 5%.
Unlike the online offers this one B&M only includes HP.
Recently all the online ink deals have excluded HP.

I hound ink is more expensive in store than it is online, about 25% more expensive in some cases. At least that was the case when I bought my Brother toner cartridge, so the 25% you get in Rewards will be about the everyday online price with no rewards to have to liquidate.

Do you guys buy ink to resell? I have no use for staples ink, but need to buy $30+ every 6 months. If you do resell, which ones do you buy?

I usually buy HP, and it’s whichever cartridge is not on special sale, and is the least amount over the $30 threshold. I’ll then list it up on eBay for maybe $20, and if it doesn’t sell, then I get $2 back for in on the next recycling cycle the next month.

I was wondering about this myself. Recent purchases using Staples Rewards does show the amount taken off as a “coupon”, so I’m guess that we’re out of luck on trying to monetize using this offer.
