The original MCR program ended in June. There is no way to accumulate points to redeem for gift cards or merchandise ever again (unless Coke decides to revive/reinvent the program).

https://us.coca-cola.com/offers/ is the new program. Codes now only have a single value, regardless of source (cap or 12-pk flap or whatever), and can be entered for contests and occasional items and coupons. For example, there is currently an offer to get a large popcorn at AMC theaters by entering ten codes.

So, don’t just throw out unredeemed codes just yet, but no, they don’t have the same value they used to have.

At this moment, I see it still available to order (though currently OOS) at $1.74 but you have to now choose under “Other Sellers” and pick the Amazon one.

Since it is OOS and this normally sells for much more, we’ll see if they actually ship this.

I have this offer, my wife’s account doesn’t. The offer is also applicable for Regal Cinemas. For those unfamiliar with exactly how this works, you are just buying a gift card for whatever store is applicable. Immediately after purchase, a QR code or bar code appears, which is the gift card. If you don’t redeem it at that time, the gift card will show in your account under Payments–>Transactions, and you should be able to use it for a future purchase.

Just did the purchase. Easy. Instant credit.

I’m a fan of Rockauto for a lot of things, but since you can never get free shipping, they are not always cheaper in the end for smaller purchases like this. Curiously enough, the filter I need is cheaper anyway at Amazon and free shipping for me with Prime.

I go for stretches of time where I forget all about this. Anybody still consider Recyclebank really worthwhile? The only thing of any value that I ever redeem for are magazine subs. Those can be pretty good, but even now that I am only earning a few points here and there, I have thousands of points banked and magazine subs only cost a few hundred points or so.

Instead of redeeming for a subscription, get $5 instead. Limit one time per household. Used to be a way to make an easy 5 bucks every now and then, thus why they caught on and gave it a limit.

Codes like that are always one-time use. Only codes that spell out phrases (something like BACKTOSCHOOLKFR) are for any/everyone to use.

There are more items to choose from than what initially show in the ad, as one will likely discover. For example, there is a HB toaster oven available as one of the $21.99 items. I ended up getting 49 rewards points instead of 47. The nicest surprise: for choosing in-store pickup, it appears I am getting a bonus $5 Kohl’s Cash. I vaguely recall reading about this before; I am not sure if/what exactly triggers this offer, YMMV.
However you slice it, for me it’s three appliances ultimately more-than-free even with tax with all the rebates, KC, cash back factored in.

Bloopers are still available. If you sign up with a new account, you can get a 20% code for your first purchase, but it isn’t valid on clearance/outlet items. I checked out through BeFrugal for 10% cash back.

Considering that they have had outages like this in the past (World series promos come to mind), you’d think they could get this sorted out. Sigh.

@xoincognito Thanks, but it seems you glossed over my post, maybe I should have added more detail. I referenced the specific thread already. The offer expired 2/27. And I have been following the corresponding thread at SD as well. The problem is that Coke messed something up here and did not fulfill the offer for many people who did scan the icons, but the reward never appeared to claim. As it stands, I’m contemplating whether it’s worth it to file a BBB complaint as Coke can’t seem to give a straight story and certainly hasn’t so far shown an interest in fulfilling the offer.

Coke is displaying classic large-company, totally indifferent, inconsistent, awful customer service on this. Sending out boilerplate messages claiming fraud, failure to complete the offer, as well as still being aware of the issue and working on resolving it as soon as possible. it’s nice to get rewards for modest effort on the consumer’s part, but their refusal to proactively acknowledge the problem and come up with a resolution fairly applied to all, or at least a consistent response, reminds me that this really is a very lousy, cold, corporate machine in the worst sense.

I played the movie challenge game today since it’s the first Monday, but when I got to the end, it said points already earned. My account history does not show any points for it, so I presume there’s a glitch in need of fixing.

There’s a fairly recent thread on SD about a $40 Hyundai offer. If still valid, it’s a bit trial and error, but searching and browsing the site generates a pop-up that allows you to claim the offer. I did it a few weeks ago.

Curious, I presume you got this info from some other deal board. I wonder if/how others have gotten any of these to work. I have been a KFR member for several years and haven’t entered bonus codes like these for ages. None of them worked for me now. The first three said “already entered” and the last three actually said “expired.”
