My issue with TCB has always been how long they take to pay out.
I just checked my Dashboard and found that it takes 19 wks before money is available for purchases made at Petco. That’s ridiculous.

Even the 8 wks for most other merchants is longer than any other portal I use.

TCB payment going smoothly is the exception to the rule, whether it’s a failure to track, or not paying in their stated time frame, I used to always try to do these weekend bonuses they run throughout the year, but I have been burned by them too many times, that I now pretty much ignore it.

That’s an unfair exaggeration, saying it’s an exception. I’ve had very few purchases that didn’t track properly or were not ultimately resolved at least with TCB. I find issues tend to be store-specific, more than with the cash-back site I use. Ebay, for example, is an a**hole of a store that has too many instances of not tracking right and most cash-back sites I use state they can’t/won’t launch an inquiry when that happens.

I got an email after complaining to TB about the free Chalupa Box fiasco. (I was one of many that didn’t get it because the app and website were non-functional the whole day of the giveaway.) After sending a complaint on Twitter, they sent me a unique link. After clicking the link and entering my email, a few days later I got an email with info about the the rewards program and also containing a “sorry” message about the Chalupa promo. It is in clicking the link in the email that then opened the TB app and loaded the free Doritos Loco taco to my account.

A free taco isn’t quite a comparable make-up for a $5 chalupa box, but at least it’s something.

No, there are plenty available for ship-to-home, just not ship-to-store.

See if you if you got a bonus offer via email (if you have a Perks rewards account). I got an offer for 100 points with two purchases made between August 4-10. My wife got 50 points instead of 100. (200 points is worth a free drink of any kind and size.)

DRAT! I overslept. I didn’t start streaming until 4 am PT. It may be too late, but I will just continue to let it play in the background for the 8 hours and hope for a miracle.

I didn’t complete the minimum hours for August until a few days in, and still got both credits. We’ll see what happens this month.

Happy to report that I got both credits this month. Email came about 1.5 days after completion. I guess the key is to make sure to hit the “enroll” button before starting every video (but I still think that’s a bug and it shouldn’t be that way). Also confirming that you don’t necessarily finish the videos ASAP to get credit—I didn’t start until 10/2 and didn’t finish until later in the day on 10/3.

Nothing wrong. There is no code. The manager or someone with more authority has to override the system to make it work. In my case, I’ve seen a manager scan their fingerprint or swipe a special card in order to make the register allow certain deals.

I just got the Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger today. Note that this offer is in-store only, you scan the QR code in the app to redeem. Not valid for mobile orders. FWIW, I was able to get two free mini Frosties as well, one with the keytag and one with a coupon from the Halloween booklet. My purchase was a jr. fries, $1.19 at my location.

I got my check today too. I wasn’t expecting to get my diploma back at the same time. I don’t think they are finished with those yet. I haven’t seen any official announcement about those.

I still have not heard anything from this company since the email confirmation after the initial sign-up.

Same with me for the “Second Reminder,” and same on still not having received mailing materials.
Perhaps the company is just slow in the processing of this thing. Wait and see. At least nothing lost on our end.

Finally got my mailer on Saturday. Included info sheet says there is a limit on the number of $100 payouts, but doesn’t specify details, and adds that they will return your diploma whether they use it or not.

I wonder if the current state of affairs has affected this.

Not surprised that things might be taking a while, but they shouldn’t have specified a timeframe in the email if they weren’t even going to come close. Now five weeks and counting.

(They have acknowledged the delay on social media—I’m sure the check will come eventually.)

I found this via a Facebook ad earlier this week. Went smoothly for me. Per that ad, it is valid in more states but some are only for 50% of the purchase price, as in my case in IL.

For many years, this seemed like a good deal. But it’s now useless for me. The $7.99 carryout deal for any pizza with up to three toppings, available everyday, beats this (almost) half-off deal (for me at least, prices vary per location). Unless one must have a pie with more than three toppings, consider accordingly.

Good way to watch the Dexter: New Blood reboot on Showtime. The last episode will be available in January so two months is enough to get through it.

No. This is the basic $6.99 plan at a discounted price. There is no live TV, save for perhaps certain events. Major networks do post some shows there, for example, you can watch the current season of ABC’s The Goldbergs, but not live, but instead soon after the original airing on regular broadcast (which you could also do via ABC’s own app). To get live channels, you’d have to subscribe to the much more expensive Hulu + Live. This basic version of Hulu is similar to Netflix and Prime that (for the most part) only carry on-demand streaming/

I’ve historically had pretty good results using TCB over the years, but my last two did not track and I am awaiting follow-up after submitting claims. Transactions were at Home Depot and Hulu, FWIW.

My response to TCB after getting the same denial response after a claim:
What good does it do to use Chrome, with the TCB extension installed, and have it showing as activated at the time of purchase, if that can’t be considered as reliable? It’s ridiculous. My click-to-merchant history timestamp and actual purchase time are within minutes of each other. There simply is no sensible explanation why anything should have gone wrong except to say the TCB has shortcomings in their system and processing to reliably track transactions. I just do not have these problems with other cash-back sites. I have been using cash-back sites for years—I understand how this works. If something goes wrong, I’m at the mercy of the cash-back site to follow through or not. And I again say, since there is not credit showing for me for this purchase from another cash-back site, something doesn’t add up.

I’m sure I’ll just get another sorry-sounding reply back, but I’m getting my two bits in. I’m pretty sure I’m going to be done with them after many years of satisfaction. And I will follow through and actively bad mouth them going forward.

Nothing wrong with fact based feedback, and if that feedback is not complimentary, so be it. Obviously with as many people sharing similar tales in this thread, the problem is not isolated and the same lame excuses are given over and over again. Even with the extension, as @yoregano points out, he didn’t get his CB and if enough people leave negative reviews of TCB online (again fact based, not indiscriminate rants), it will start to bite them in the ass sooner or later.

Since TCB says that it’s up to the merchant to report tracking, I might see how much effort I want to put into this and press the merchant (Home Depot in this case) to tell me what exactly the “other marketing channel” is in my situation. If I get that info, I will then see who really owes me cash back for this transaction.

You can use 1,000 points for a $1 donation to various charities. Something nominally worthwhile instead of letting points expire.

Last day for the offer. Yeah, I got this today. They’re bites, all right. $4.49 plus tax for a couple mouthfuls. Fairly tasty, but no way I’m getting these again. I can easily make the equivalent at home for a lot less.

To my great surprise, I just had a claim ticket resolved and the cash back was approved! In this case, it was for Hulu back during the Black Friday timeframe. One curious thing was it took TCB forever to submit the claim after I had created the ticket. Anyway, I’m still miffed overall, though. This cash back amount was $2; I’m still out the $7+ on my earlier mentioned Home Depot transaction which included a $5 bonus at the time of purchase. And getting this Hulu transaction approved does not make me feel more comfortable in using TCB going forward. Both the Hulu and HD purchases were made on the same computer, using the same browser (Chrome), within a similar timeframe, etc. It just does not make sense why one worked and the other didn’t.

The new KFR site is certainly… interesting. I tried again to do some activities, and this time, they credited for me. I used my phone this time; things still are wonky from my Mac desktop. Up to 4 credits now. But when I try and submit a receipt, I can’t seem to get to a way to do that. When I click the actual receipt button, it directs to a “how to” page but doesn’t prompt a picture or attach option.

Finally got enough credits for a reward, but when I try to claim it, I get an error–on either my phone or my Mac for the last two days. 🙄

These are physical cards, so you can use them in B&M stores, not just for digital and online purchases.

I typically have decent CB % on groceries, drugstores, travel, etc. between different cc’s. Plan to use these for the payments that don’t get higher CB. Unfortunately most stores don’t allow using these to buy other Prepaid cards which used to be sweet when there were moneymaking discounts for buying Visa or Master prepaid cards at Safeway brand stores.

I think I was able to use a prepaid card fairly recently to buy another prepaid card at Jewel (Safeway/Alberston’s), but it now must be below the value of the card used for purchase. The cashier/mgr. may or may not balk, but I’m saying the POS system should accept it.
