I fulfilled my offer by ordering my kid’s HS yearbook (man, those things are expensive in my opinion!) and $50 in gift cards from CardCash. Good to remember that gift cards are always an easy option for these types of offers.

I do take issue with their charging 10-20% premiums on many decent cash outs (ie 56K points for a $50 gift card). They kind of screw you that way, at least IBOTTA (for now) is dollar for dollar on what you earn to cash out as cash or GC’s.

Yeah, I’ve got way too much $$$ built up in Fetch at the moment because I can never make up my mind what to get, wanting to find the best bang-for-buck. Options with a better conversion rate, like Old Navy, for example, I already have too much of because that store tends to have lots of ways to get discounted GCs, and it’s not a place I shop that often. But I should do something soon, after the Shopkick shutdown.

Well, I just got back from my local Aldi store and they only carry the individual perfect bars and not the six count box of mini bar bars. So YMMV on finding an Aldi store that actually carries the six count mini bars. Lesson learned.: I should’ve checked on the Aldi app to see if they carry it before I head out.

I often find Ibotta aggravating with their free-after-rebate items. More often than not, the items are vaporware—no stores near me carry them. And I live in suburban Chicago, not some podunk area, Ibotta has to know they are promoting products that have a limited distribution.

I had literally just the day before cashed out. Saw an offer for Nutella ice cream that was essentially free (a little better, in fact, since it was on sale). Submitted a receipt, got the points within a few hours, and redeemed a $25 Paypal that also processed in a few hours. Then the next day, poof, Shopkick was gone. In the end, I only lost about $5 worth of points, so not too bad.

Yes, the cautionary tale, don’t let your credits build up too high at any of the apps/sites, because indeed, they can vaporize without warning.

I recall what’s probably the biggest fiasco of all time, Cyberrebate. I bought some stuff there and got my rebates back and managed to avoid disaster there, too, before they blew up. They ended up basically being a pyramid/ponzi scheme. I remember reading about the lawsuits; some creditors were in the hole six figures!

FYI, I just noticed a tag on the gift card display at my local Jewel that says the Sat/Sun 4x offer ends 5/31. It also said the start date was 3/1, but the deal has been going on for much longer than that, so we shall see.

Yes, the 4x offer has been going on for months, maybe years. You just have to remember to check on Saturdays to clip it.

The latest version of a cheesy game to play (or skip) to win prizes. Prizes, of course, may or not be meh, my first attempt produced a free drink with a $3+ purchase.

I am not seeing the 4X points for gift card purchases coupon in Just4U. Does that offer show up on Saturday? Is it a one time use or unlimited use coupon? How do you know it’s coming?

It’s a recurring offer that has been showing on Saturdays. It might be valid Sunday, too, but the offer doesn’t appear until Saturday. It basically gives 4x points instead of the typical 2x points of any/all gift cards, unless there is a specific offer that is better on a particular card (for example, there is currently a 10x deal on Red Robin cards).

Best to wait for Saturday and clip the 4x points of gift card purchases coupon in J4U deals.
