It looks like they’ve cracked down on buying prepaid Visa/MC with prepaid cards. Yes, supposedly against a (stupid) policy to do so, but the I have done so many times in the past if the cashier would allow it. But today, it didn’t work. At checkout, when I swiped a prepaid card to attempt to pay, the system gave a “not authorized” message and I had to pay with a regular CC. Jewel in the Chicago area.

I had the offer again today too. But also be sure to check and see if you have the free Whopper with any purchase deal that I’ve mentioned previously. If so, order the 8-pc nuggets or something else cheap and get two items for ~$1.

@my4mainecoons No, not that I could tell. Nothing shows in cart or receipt at time of transaction. As a precaution, I took a screenshot of the offer in case something went wrong and I needed to contact customer service.

FWIW, I did a reload to my existing GC balance.

I haven’t had an Entertainment membership in years since digital coupons took over ala Groupon, Local Flavor, etc. Anybody have any recent experience to recommend Entertainment as being worthwhile?

I got the email and credit as well. Already spent the credit on a Prime Day order today.

Yes, I have done these coupon offers before and selected redeem in restaurant and instead of giving me a code number to give to the cashier, it says “MGR REQD.” What am I doing wrong?

Nothing wrong. There is no code. The manager or someone with more authority has to override the system to make it work. In my case, I’ve seen a manager scan their fingerprint or swipe a special card in order to make the register allow certain deals.
