I’ve had to do that a few times, wasn’t horrible, but sucks to have to spell out my info for them instead of just logging into the account.
Honestly, it’s still worth it if you can price match Amazon/Costco etc. I’ve been getting bottled water delivered at the costco price and paying with rewards.
The one issue I ran into recently is that the coupons they had in the new app didn’t combine with the rewards the way I expected. If I spent $75, then used a $25 off $75 coupon, then added $40 rewards, the coupon would go away because now I didn’t meet the $25 after rewards. I mean still better than paying full price at Costco, but disappointing that the coupons don’t come off before rewards.

It’s my understaning the ‘unique’ 16 digit one time use codes won’t stack with rewards (also unique 16 digit), however five digit multi use will.

Has anyone been able successfully stack coupons 57408: 30% back in rewards on all ink and toner
AND 43807: 20% back in rewards on all ink and toner to get 50% back? I’m able to apply both coupons in the cart,
but don’t want to shoot myself in the foot and only get 20%.

Now, had you a $20 off $50 Q you could use that and earn 30% in rewards on the actual oop spend on the ink but not 50% with 2 % back in ink Q’s.

Most $ off qs exclude technology inc. ink so nothing to stack.

@mistercheap Its been like that for a very long time.

Last month I used $15 off $75, $15 off $60, $20 off $80, and 2 of $40 rewards on a $220 printer.

@MrVietnam if you have any interest in doing what I’m going to do. Going to get Staples GC at a discount from my Discover CB rewards and use that to pay. There’s an HP toner priced $50.89 which is perfect.

@c3 yes true Sept to March inclusive, so $140 in rewrds. Plus there’s that $10/30 Q floating around that make each $20 worth $30.
Already have the Discover Gift Card (EGC) ready to go, just waiting to see if a better cash back offer materializes in the next day or two. I’d have to bring in carts by 3/12/23 for March 23 or so before the 6 month window is over on this purchase.

While that would be great, I’m not holding my breath. Staples has gotten beyond cheap this year. The $50 ink purchase req’mnt had me abandon the program. Even at 30% back in rewards I wasn’t biting, 50% I’ll bite since it’s a decent offer. I last brought ink carts to staples in May.

Yeah, the $50-ink-purchase-thing moved the goal posts for me too, mid-game no less! But the biggest de-incentive for me to continue playing the Plus membership/ink rewards game is how jacked up prices have gotten on things in general–even with most online “clearance” items. It’s almost like Staples finally did the math on this program!

I typically get breakroom/cleaning stuff w/my rewards. I price match to the best prices around, so it still works out ok for me. The removal of the Kiosks was another let down, used them quite a bit as it was easy to find stuff the local store didn’t carry and ship it to myself or family. and if I can stretch that $20 into $30 with a $10/30 Q, it’s helps ease the pain a good deal. But I simply won’t bite unless there’s at least a 50% rewards back on ink/toner at the $50 level. at least that puts it below the former $30 ink requirement after rewards which I can justify.

That is correct, they are two distinct programs, you can just do tech (no ink spend req’d), just do ink (with $50 every six months spend on ink/toner) or do both if you like.

I received a $5/$5 2 wks ago and got Clorox wipes which were $5.29 in store. There’s also a lemon scent but cats don’t like citrus.
Paid the balance with Staples gc purchased with TCB $2.50/$10 bonus.
-
So I noticed that under “rechargeable batteries” that qualify for the $5 monthly recycling rewards, they listed “Small sealed lead acid (SSLA/Pb)”… I called the 800 number for more details on what is considered “small”. Well, they don’t have an answer. I was told to take it into a store and they would tell me if it qualifies. In this case it’s a battery from a smaller UPS. Has anyone tried this yet?

There shouldn’t be any problem with it. They don’t want to deal with the car-battery-sized ones.

I have $80 Rewards expiring so I built a cart with $95 in it.
Used $15/$80 coupon. Tried to use 2@$40 Rewards. The system will only allow a total of 2 coupons so unable to use the 2nd $40 Reward.
Hoping my store still has a kiosk so I can pay at the register.

I need to order a toner cartridge to be able to continue receiving Rewards for turning in ink/toner cartridges. Now that I need a code or two, I can’t find one. A $15 off $80 coupon would be great, but anything will help if someone has coupon code(s) they won’t be using. Thanks.

It should be pretty easy to get a $15 off $75 coupon at this time. Just log in and add something to your cart. You’ll probably get a coupon the next day.

I had $80 Rewards expiring Oct. 8. Had $15/$75 coupon.
Since I couldn’t use the kiosk or place the order online (2 coupon limit and Rewards are coupons) I had to call, wait for an agent, explain to an offshore agent, place the order with the $15/$75 and one of the $40 Rewards.
Got the order number and agent added the 2nd $40 Rewards check.
Ended up paying 71¢ on my Chase Ink but wasted time and lost option for cash back since I couldn’t place the order myself.

Since I couldn’t use the kiosk or place the order online (2 coupon limit and Rewards are coupons)Since I had no problem using 3 coupons and 2 rewards online, I think the limitation is related to the type of coupon/reward you were using. The regular monthly and recycling rewards would not expire in the middle of a month.

I just logged into my account and found $100 Courtesy Rewards. No idea why. I wasn’t able to load it to a cart and when I tried to print it, it says
STAPLES REWARDS PREMIER
$100 Off US Ess SS 48IN Dsk w Stor Nat
Expires 11/12/22
Redeemable online and in-storeI guess its a coupon for a desk. So I searched for 48 inch desks. Nothing that starts US Ess.
Of course I’d rather just have $100.
Anyone else get this mystery Reward?

No, but a plus account had a separate $40 off Staples Rewards Coupon in addition to the regular $40 rewards coupon.

@penguin110 but does it work? Mine doesn’t work.
