Better than a king-sized candy bar at the bottom of your bag: the Trick or Treat game. Today, 10/31/18. only - our treat. Play now: https://syw.co/2yEanSr
They were too generous. I won 100 points (10 cemts). Not nearly as good as a king-sized candy bar. Who are they trying to fool?
Also, today you can play the Wacky Wednesday sweeos. You can play 4 times. I usually win a nickel lately each time I play most times.
In the past whenever I would spend a $5 off $50 in my digital account, the very next day a new $5 off $50 would be there ready to be clipped, but ever since they filed bankruptcy, once I spend the first $5 off $50 I am not offered a new one until the start of the next month, which will be tomorrow in this case.

Er…how could you possibly know that? They filed bankruptcy 2 weeks ago. Tomorrow will be the first new month since the filing. I’m just awfully confused by that statement.

The part about a new $5 off $50 not appearing the next day is a fact. I made a purchase on Sunday and as of this morning a new $5 off $50 has not replaced the old one. As for me receiving a new $5 off $50 November 1, true, that has not happened yet, but every month for years they have always provided a $5 off $50 at the start of each month. I think I can count on getting at least that one, but my point was they are not replacing them after each use like they use to, for me at least. Nothing to be confused about.

@mrvietnam I have never received $5/$50 and I stopped receiving any good coupons around the time I stopped getting CRT FC and coupons.

On 11/1 I did not receive a $5/$50 digital coupon either, so it looks as a cost savings tool Kmart has pretty much got rid of their total purchase coupons. Bummer.

If you did the $50/$50 at Sears that ended yesterday, the 2nd $25 installment will post on Nov. 18. So if you do the $25/$25 on Home the $25 back will overlap so will have $50 to spend.

The only Sears within 10 miles of me is closing, so I won’t be doing any Sears deals anymore unless they can be done online and are for a larger 100% back amount, so I can get free shipping. I only do Kmart deals now and only deals that pay out in their entirety before the end of the year.

Earlier in the year, when Sears was doing similar 100% Back in Points offers for high dollar spend, it was distributed equally over 12 MONTHS.
For this current offer of Spend $300+ on selected Major Appliances & Snowblowers, get $300 Back in Points offer, Sears’ website is showing that the points are equally distributed over 12 WEEKS, not 12 Months.
If that’s not an indication of the lifespan of Sears, I don’t know what is.

Yep. I would steer clear of any point offers that have installments that pay anytime next year.

I heard something big is happening 12/15 via a hometown store person. I just hope I get Nov and Dec installment of my tire purchase.

@briarycliffs I replied in the Deal Discussion thread about bankruptcy here.
-
Umm wow. Sears is starting to slowly hyper-inflate the prices of some items online, and then put fake markdowns to price the items “On Sale” — like what you’d see happen when B&M stores go into a liquidation markup pricing scheme. For one particular item, the “Sale” price on Sears’ website is $2 more than the MRSP Non-Sale price that was the regular price two-six months ago.
-
Yes, I have noticed the same price raising at Kmart, too on many items. I used to use a lot of my points stocking up on basics/staple items. Case in point: I used to buy 52 oz Ajax dish liquid soap which was $2.99 about a year ago. Now it has increased in price to a whopping $4.49 (which is still today only $2.96 at Walmart).

How do they associate your cell phone number with your SYW account? My home and cell phone number are both listed on my SYW account profile, so I guess I should be OK, right?

For those interested, Gaiam products are included in the $20 back on $20 in Sporting Goods.
-
@Lo $20 back on $20 in Home in store only. Online is $25 back on $25 so different offers. I found a clearance Verage wheeled duffle for $15.99 and added candles to reach $20. Gray or green duffles are $15.99, blue is $54.99. Rang up $23.99, did P M to website.
-
@my4mainecoons Thanks! A relative informed me also that there is an in-store deal for $20 back on $50 in tools through 11/17.
Looking into the future, the BF ads have 100% back (up to $50) at Kmart, 11/22-11/25. Points credit 11/27 and expire 12/3.
Sears will have $50 back on $50, 11/22-11/23 only, and looks like it may be in-store only too. Points also credit 11/27 and expire 12/3.
The online + in-store Sears offer for the weekend will be $250 back on $250, 11/22-11/25, but those points will come in $25 installments over 10 weeks. Pass for me on that one.
-
@lo wow, $50/$50 on anything? I didn’t see that in BF ad. I’d still get socket sets… pay $99.99, get $82.50 gc ($24.99 in BF ad) and $50 in pts.
I saw pts back on tools deal in store yesterday but since it wasn’t 100% back I ignored it.
Yesterday I converted $50 in pts back to $46 on my gc then bought $20/$20 Home in-store and $20/$20 Fitness online. Pts have posted, now I just need to wait for next week’s truck so I can put them back on my gc… Our truck arrives on Thursday.
All the Seasonal items are included in Home. I was looking for the $30 spinner suitcase but oos in my store. However, website had shown the clearance duffles as oos but I found one of each color so its worth checking.

Craftsman Snow Blower $100 gc challenge. Technically not a SYWR deal but didn’t think it was worth its own thread. Single stage snow blower might be adequate if you live south of Mason Dixon line.
If you find a Toro single stage snow thrower at your local The Home Depot with a lower sale price (at least $1.00 lower) and the same features as Craftsman model #71-88980, then Sears will give you a $100 gift card for use on a future purchase. Sears online price at the time of purchase will be used for comparison purposes. 1. You must purchase the qualifying Craftsman model snow thrower, #71-88980, between 11/8/18 and 11/18/18, to be eligible. 2. The price of the competitive model must be at least $1.00 lower than the Craftsman model to be eligible for consideration. Competitive item must be available for purchase at your local The Home Depot at the time of comparison. 3. When you purchase your Craftsman model, you must then submit proof of the lower price on the Toro item from your local The Home Depot. Proof must be in the form of original print advertising, a screen print of the product page online showing your local The Home Depot store price and date, or an in-store promotional flyer. Sears will match the model to the comparable Craftsman model and will determine, in its sole discretion, whether the submission qualifies. To qualify for the gift card, the Toro model must have the same features at a lower price than the Craftsman model #71-88980. Note: your local Sears store is not able to make the determination on a submitted claim or award the $100 gift card. The gift card can only be obtained by submitting the claim form and supporting documentation to the following address: Craftsman Snow Challenge 3333 Beverly Rd. C4-182B Hoffman Estates, IL 60179 In addition to the supporting detail listed on the claim form, be sure to fill out the claim form in its entirety. Failure to do so, will void your claim. Print your form here. 4. The Craftsman Price Guarantee applies only to the Craftsman snow thrower model #71-88980, sold only at Sears Full Line Stores or on sears.com. Offer not valid in Sears Hometown, Hardware or Outlet stores. 5. Limit one submission per household. 6. Excludes Toro’s commercial product, one of a kind and reconditioned items; outlet store items; products at military PX, online only offers, items or prices that are closeout, clearance, or net of a rebate or gift card; bonus or free offers, special offers, bundled offers, financing offers, rebates, coupons items offered as part of a private or “friends and family” or similar type event, competitive service agreements, extended warranties, used, damaged, returned, open box or display merchandise, items that are limited in quantity, offered for less than eight hours during a day. Typographical or other errors on competitors’ prices, features or any other advertising errors in competitors’ advertisements are not eligible. Photo copies of advertisements or receipts will not be accepted as verification of competitor pricing. 7. Guarantee not valid on prior purchases. Must submit dated competitive item information along with a copy of your Sears receipt showing the purchase of model #71-88980, plus any other supporting documentation to the above address to be eligible. Hand written documentation will not be accepted. 8. In the event of a return of the Craftsman merchandise, the value of the gift card will be deducted from any refund amount. 9. The Craftsman Price Guarantee is not valid on layaway or leasing transactions.

I finally made it to my store today and they actually had $30 back on $60 for home. Looks like Sears is back to having store-specific deals again (it was like that during the summer, but for the last few months, the store deals seemed pretty universal). The plus side to store-specific deals is that I found out during the summer that if you have access to 2 different stores running promos with different denominations in the same week, you can actually do both deals on the same SYW account.

Well, both Kmart and Sears hiked the threshold spend for free shipping from a $35+ order, to now a $59+ order. That’s more than a 68% spike!

Not very competitive either, given that Amazon, for example, gives free shipping on all holiday orders regardless of the amount right now.
-
I got my tire install rebate yesterday. I should get another installment of points tomorrow. Pretty happy with the tire purchase.
-
Exactly!
Considering that both CVS and Target are also having no minimums for free standard shipping until Christmas, you’d think at a bare minimum Kmart/Sears wouldn’t raise the free shipping threshold to a higher level.
But nope, instead some “genius” bean counter @ SHC decided to do the opposite, and raise the threshold, increasing it by more than 68%. 🙄

I just found out that Sears Hometown does do this deal!!! I didn’t think I could use points there though except ordering online for pickup. I may try to get some points and test it out. It has it on their website, and the price of the set is the same currently, although the regular price is way lower that Sears. I know the owner of our hometown store and never thought to ask her.
-
@briarycliffs Do you sell on eBay or elsewhere? You could always use points to buy something for resale.

Don’t sell anywhere and I live in a rural area, no yard sales. I need to get rid of stuff, not add stuff. It’s a good problem to have, though.
Off topic, does anyone know how many Wild Wednesday games there are? I played at 7 am, then at 10 am. I don’t know if they are like 4 new games in a day or 1 every hour. A nickel here, a nickel there, adds up.

4 Wild Wednesday games per day, I’ve seen. Sometimes they’re good for $0.10 each.
I’m running with you on the adds-up thing. If you have a cell phone and install their “WIN IT!” app, you get additional chances for instant sweeps points. Several times I’ve hit payouts of 1,000 or 4,000 or even 5,000 points ($1, $4, $5) on “Bonus” or “Wild Wins” that way.
Sounds bizarre, I know–especially for a company going down the tubes!

They allow you to play 4 Wild Wednesday spin the wheel games each Wednesday. It used to be you would win all 4 games some small change, but now I am just two for four today and the games I won it was just a nickel each time.

Sounds bizarre, I know–especially for a company going down the tubes!A friend plays a lot of sweeps and earns a lot from it but said Sweeps had stopped being as rewarding last week. I’ve never earned more than 25¢.
