@my4mainecoons said in Rite Aid in store only 5/25-5/27 Spend $50 on Summer Items (Grills, pool toys, coolers, outdoor supplies, etc) Earn $25 BC:
@mistercheap You are not the average shopper It’s a good deal if you are playing the game but most in the HD forum are not. If it’s a DS in-store only deal then why is it in HD? RA never charges full price for seasonal stuff. It hits the shelves at 50% off; it’s the same price it’s been since March. They will have BC for the category several times over the season just as they do for Christmas. If one has BC to use it’s one thing but I wouldn’t advise someone paying oop to spend $50 cash at RA for their limited selection of pool toys then ending up with $20 BC which they will use on overpriced stuff since they want to get rid of it.
Items that do not fall under grocery or HBA at Drug/Grocery Stores (ie, batteries, seasonal items as outlined in this post, etc have always gone in HD, even back on the old Fat Wallet forums.
Sorry @my4mainecoons have to disagree with your statements. RA’s prices at 50% off are in-line with what you’d pay for a lot of the items at Walmart, Target, Home Depot, etc with some exceptions here and there.
You state ‘Christmas’ items sure they have sales on Lights/Gift Wrap/Cards/Gift Bags/Decorations,etc but I don’t recall beyond the BOGO or B1get2 free sales they offer Bonus Cash on these items, either on a specific item (like Gift Wrap) or general category like all non-food Christmas decor. Yes, it would be part of the overall $15/50 offered at BF and the like, but for someone who was planning a lot of outdoor summer entertaining (pool parties, kids staying home for the summer, etc.) $25 back on $50 spend (or $10/35 plus $15/50 on additional $15 of ‘other stuff’) is indeed a good deal. Sorry if you don’t agree but people ultimately will have to comparison shop and see how this is working out compared to prices elsewhere.
